Merry Christmas Everyone, Hope you enjoy this one featuring the gateman 👍👍 Also check out the Topdon Offers over Xmas with 20% Off - Not Interested then just use time strap bar to scroll on to the main video.
Merry Xmas Lee, put a gb sticker on back bumper jobs a good un 😅 Look forward to seeing you at G3 in new year (driver🤐) Now go put your feet up, plan next year and stop buying work if possible 😉👍👍👍👍
Best car review/blog on RUclips in my opinion. Down to earth guy, no dramas all the cars are well presented, look after his customers up and beyond what other dealers offer, and if I were a lot closer, would buy from without a doubt. Doing a great job Lee 👍
Had one of those Jags for years, absolutely faultless and never did less than 30 mpg. To spoil one to keep a poxy Range Rover on the road is sacrilege.
Something big, even revolutionary, in the used car business going on here Lee. By thorough and honest pre-sale preparation and preventative repairs you've turned the industry on it's head by giving customers the EXACT confidence they seek when setting out to buy, supported by your strategy of not wanting to have come-backs in 3, or even 6, months. Key is of course your in depth knowledge, enthusiasm, stamina, verbal skills et al - plus your workshop, staff, and contacts with the specialist skills, and MoT services. I can already envisage the well located, comfortable, much larger site with it's modern buildings which will be needed as more and more customers beat a path to Cheshire. My very best wishes for your future successes.
Back in the old days when the company loved the Jag brand the jaguar on the bonnet the roaring cat, the e type, gangsters in the big old style jag, inspector morse. Not sure what it is now. I just know no one wants it
Lee you need to put a jump pack and tyre inflation pump on your list from Santa...a must for any car dealer. Im surprised they didnt charge you storage fees...BCA Bristol would of. 😂
A bit longer and you could have resold it as a classic! Wife wanted one of these (the Sport) couple of years ago but I found an 71k Merc C 220 Bluef-cy sport, had it chipped and done 3yrs no issues, also have a receipt for a new rear subframe fitted by Merc! a common problem. Hearing about the engine reliability and fuel consumption makes me glad we got the Merc. Happy Xmas to you all🦌
Nice one Lee. You finally dealt with the Jaguar. More money in the bank and not a lot of work given you have traded it on. As I have said many times an honest man who sells cars you can be sure they have been dealt with before you buy them from him. I often look at ad's in local magazine and wonder if the selling dealer has done what you do and conclude unlikely so if I needed a car in your price range I would certainly check what stock you had.
Thanks for hosting all your efforts to us subscribers great channel to watch. From my family to yours and your staff merry Christmas and happy new year x
I have 2009 jag xf love this motor not missed a beat since I have owned it great solid runner and drives like new , I have driven a new one but still prefer this older type, have a great Christmas Lee enjoy your videos I will keep watching in 2025
Your knowledge of the vehicles and the engines is priceless, learnt a lot watching your videos , keep up the great work, I like every one and subscribed ages ago 👍
Merry Christmas Lee and family..have a good rest. Your out growing the Pitch already especially in the workshop could do with an extra room & ramp and another mechanic.
Merry Christmas to yourself, family and staff Lee. The Jag is such a lovely, however dangerous car. Like my Antara, you just know it's going to break or at some point, become a nightmare lol. Whatever happened to Points, Plugs, a walk around the engine, fix it with an adjustable spanner and away you go. !!!
If I were risking having that for me, apart from making sure its mechanically sound, the only other thing I'd do is remove the mascot, its an eyesore and a pedestrian nightmare. Other than that, its a beauty for the money. Thanks for a year of excellent content and have yourselves a fantastic festive period.
Lee could you perhaps do a video talking through the other products you use to valet a car, including how you polish it up, the paintwork on mine is really dull
The bonnet ornament is called a Leaper. That one will be glued to the bonnet but should come off ok. To be honest they look a bit weird on the XF bonnet.
Great video Lee.. Love the banter with the gate man 😂 I've always fancied going into the car trade I'm retired now.. Got out early.. But I've not got the set up like you with the garage and mechanics so it would be to expensive and risky.. So I'll leave it to the pros.. I've bought and sold hundreds of cars over many decades as a petrol head and truly love the buzz of a deal with people like yourself.. Anyway hope you and your family have a great Xmas Lee.. Take care and I'll catch you on the next one 😊
The thing alot of people dint know is if your using a rattle, a proper one fekm a paint shop with good nozzle, you should put the can in a jug of hot water and get it really hot. I have dine all the stripes and fancy paint work in my camper using rattle cans and it's like glass, you can see your self in it. And it because it sprays so much better hot.
Hi Ed, I have a Vito MPV with grubby looking black cloth seats. The seats have white stains from where drinks etc have leaked in the past. Have really struggled to remove the stains, without success. Please could you offer any guidance on products, equipment and methods to clean and remove the stains??? Much appreciated and many thanks in advance. 😁 David
@davidhoneysett8245 if it's really bad you might struggle without a wetvac but you can try. You will need a fabric cleaner of some description, Autoglym which he mentions in the vid do make decent stuff and the retail stuff for the most part is the stuff sold to the trade, the G101 he mentions is an all purpose cleaner from Autosmart, they're pretty much commercial sales only iirc and you'll probably only find them in 5 litre bottles online and their fabric cleaner "Brisk" is mainly meant for use in wetvacs. Don't bother with any foaming stuff it's nonsense. If you're talking about a couple of stains I'd buy a 500ml of Autoglym fabric cleaner, as stiff a brush you can use without damaging the fabric and some microfibres, spray the area enough so you can agitate with the brush and then soak up as much as you can with the microfibres. It's also worth doing the surrounding area lightly so it dries evenly and you don't end up with a watermark where you've cleaned.
I think that ‘Gateman’ missed his vocation, he should have stared as the Inspector in ‘On The Buses’. Very amusing sequence and banter. Mind you, leaving it there for nearly 8 months Lee !….all that moss growning around it !…😮
I've had two XFs and think they are great cars. Also, based on you recommendation I bought one of those Top Don jump packs, a great bit of kit, thanks!
Thanks Lee for great videos all year. Wishing you and your family a very happy Christmas. … spotted a black BMW in the video is there going to be a video on it or have I missed it 🤔👍
Have a good Christmas break Lee. Definitely agree with you, it's a nice car but simply not worth the risk of retailing as if it does go Pete Tong your wallet will feel like Usyk or Fury has hit it!
I drove a mates one of these and what a beautiful vehicle. He had new 2009 British’s racing green. Sold at 200k miles with engine blown up. 2 gear boxes, the gear nob refused to come out and 2 egr valves. I’d abs love one of these but alas can’t afford the maintenance. Very interesting vlog this one. I think the gate man just likes the crack with you. Professional moaner
1750 as a trade sale is all of its money, but these are great cars, and the mpg is much better than you said, you will get over 40mpg, and 60mpg on a motorway is normal.
Thanks Lee, and a very Merry Christmas to you and your loved ones too. Quick question though please.........not noticed that you have ever had an automatic Aygo? is it because they are rare / expensive, or are they just crap? Cheers, Tony.
Thank you for the discount offer. I wanted to buy that jump starter/ power bank but ended up buying the OBD scanner as well. I now need to find an excuse for the Mrs to explain why I need the scanner 😂
Love your vlogen ans so interesting to see the in and outs of the car trade, before I forget Merry Christmas, by the way the gateman is not the most friendly type, regards from NewZealand
Thanks again for another excellent video .Even better with Topdon discount codes..Have purchased JS1500 Jump Starter and 600s Diagnostic Item..Would only have bought 1 of it wasn't for discount codes👍.. Thanks again and Merry Xmas to you and all your viewers..🎄🎄
The 600s is great but it's useless without an internet connection.... bought one a few weeks ago. I thought once it updated it could have been used anywhere. Luckily you can hotspot it from your phone.
I'd love an XF. I delivered one to the lakes last year and it was a fantastic drive. I have the 2.2 in an X type with 160k. Reliable but agricultural. The 3.0 V6 is a far better drive, cheaper to tax and uses less fuel. The leaping cat can be a problem for the police
Seasons greetings Lee ! Look forward to your vids every evening! Doing a great job….thanks so much. Now, what is this stuff Bentley buy….breesk? Can you clarify for us pls? Cheers ! See u soon! Raj
The Leaper on the bonnet was standard fit in some markets, but illegal in the UK because of pedestrian safety. It should be an MOT fail, and a fine for dangerous parts if you get a police or DVSA officer who's short on fines for the day.
I don't understand why you wouldn't subscribe to a channel you invest time in to. That should be the very least you do. It's free entertainment and you could learn something. If it helps Lee to keep improving the channel, it's the very least you should do. Well done Lee, and thank you again.
Hello from Ireland, Lee. Happy Xmas to you, and the Family, the Gateman, is not happy lol. Jesus is that not a very cheap, Jaguar, Lee? It sounds cheap. I never knew you could swap these engines around, I guess, if you are someone who needs the engine, then bye, bye Jaguar, lol. 7mts at the Auction yard, lol. You're Crazy Lee. Now I know the Yardman must have had a Bounty on you're head lol 😅😅😅. Wicked video again, Lee. Chat soon, bro. 🙏🙏🎅🎅🎅👌👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏
Talking about a 1980's working mens club, My dearly missed father in law lived in alsagers bank (coldest place in the uk i swear) and we use to visit him and pop to the miner welfare for a game of bingo and the meat raffle. Happy days.

Merry Christmas mate
Would you consider doing the odd car review in the future? I think it would push your views up even more
Have a good Christmas
Merry Christmas, enjoy the break.
Lee, my wife tried to order 3 topdons 2000 and the promo code does not work ?
Best car review/blog on RUclips in my opinion.

You made the right decision - I wouldn't retail a 15 year old XF V6 either.
Lol ..."let's see it move" 😂😂😂 clearly Mr Gateman still had his doubts .......👍. Have a good break thanks for the videos.
The jag video better than Netflix tonight.
He reminds me of Blakey off 'On The Buses'. Dont buy a bus-he'll never leave you alone 😂😂
🤣👍
I’ll get you BUTLER aaaahhhh
Gateman needs a Christmas card with a jag on it!
🤣👍
😂
or a cup with JAAAAAAAAAG! with a smiley face.
Yes, a black XF.
Ah the long awaited Jag vid! It was a totally different brand when you bought it!! Merry Christmas Lee
Many thanks 👍👍
Back in the old days when the company loved the Jag brand the jaguar on the bonnet the roaring cat, the e type, gangsters in the big old style jag, inspector morse. Not sure what it is now. I just know no one wants it
@@FranssensMIt's now a brightly coloured rainbow ....for people that would never buy a Jaguar.....Budweiser found out the hard way 🤔
Love the Gateman. The XF is a lovely car, and I would love to own one. Merry Christmas Lee and family and to the staff.
Great seeing the Jag rolling along! Looking forward to next year’s content, have a good Christmas Lee, you certainly deserve a break!

Merry Christmas to you and yours Lee! Have a good one.

Happy Christmas to you and family Lee❤

Same here, cracking bus for the money. Happy new year,
Thanks for the videos Lee, always look forward to seeing them, have a great Christmas 😊

Agreed. Putting a leaper on the bonnet is just as bad as putting a fat exhaust on a Fiesta. Hideous

Thanks for the topdon links. Just purchased a JS2000. Sure it will come in handy! Great channel. Have a super Christmas
The bonnet ornament is called a Leaper. That one will be glued to the bonnet but should come off ok. To be honest they look a bit weird on the XF bonnet.
Yes sort of thing I suspect to see on a old XJ8 or Daimler Sovereign 😁👍
Yes, lose the cat!
Not keep with it on a modern car - just looks strange......
Bit of a del boy ornament.
The leaping Jaguar looks perfect on an XJ6/8 but doesn't really sit well on an XF.
Have a great Christmas 🎄:-) thanks for all the vids
Thanks claire
Bought a JS2000 when you first showed us. Ages ago. On the Mini with the blowing pipe. Absolutely great piece of kit.👍

Brisk is the best interior cleaner seats carpets plastics leather big up dom autosmart man
Calling that bloke at the start Mr Gay Man got me chuckling at 9 seconds in...funny! 🤣🤣😂😂
The best stuff for cleaning leather is the soap flakes you used to be able to buy for hand washing, used to have a valeting business many moons ago.

They call the jag emblem a leaper,I used to make jag landrover cars, happy Xmas lee
Great content all year lee
If the gateman ever loses his job, I think you should employ him out of principal 😂
Interesting story on the jaguar and nice outcome.
Merry Christmas Lee
Liked and subscribed Lee, all the best 👍
Why didn’t you use your new top don starter, that start all cars, for the jag, just a thought?
My thoughts 😂
The Leaper on the bonnet was standard fit in some markets, but illegal in the UK because of pedestrian safety. It should be an MOT fail, and a fine for dangerous parts if you get a police or DVSA officer who's short on fines for the day.
Hi are you going to do anything with the metro next year, mines tucked up in the garage for the winter
Yes I was going to sort it this month but no time now, January it will need to be sent away to be restored.
Best to leave it broke pal 😂 any JLR car spends more time on a ramp than on tarmac, why people would want to buy these is beyond me 😂
Actually Ford/PSA units the diesels in JLRs from this era.The 2.0 petrol is also a Ford unit, its still more of a Jaag than whats about to come.
Yes I think it found its way into the ford ranger 2.2 also
@@carukchannel Yep also in the Mondeo too.
Great conclusion to the Jaaaaaag.
Have a whip round for the gate mans Christmas beers 😁.
Merry Christmas to you and everyone at the pitch
Very Merry Christmas….have a great break 🤞 for 2025 Peter
Thanks, you too!
Love the gate man so funny.
Got a pre facelift front grill and surround if your customer interested 👍
Top Block enjoy ur holidays

Another great show!!! Thank you
Talking about a 1980's working mens club,
My dearly missed father in law lived in alsagers bank (coldest place in the uk i swear) and we use to visit him and pop to the miner welfare for a game of bingo and the meat raffle.
Happy days.
Just ordered the topdon 8000 … 👍 fingers crossed it’s as good as you say
Happy Xmas. To all at the carpitch
Good decision to trade on. That leaper on bonnet is horrible. Not sure how that passes an MOT.
Great channel! Many thanks.
I have finally subscribed . Love the jag
Love the content
Mr CarUK you should of asked gateman if he had some shampoo and water so you could of washed it there too im sure he'd help chamois leather it
🤣👍
hopefully when the social media guy is onboard the gateman can have his own dedicated weekly Car UK vlog. unless its fully self retracting, isn't the bonnet ornament on the Jag an MOT issue in the same way that sharp edges are on damaged body panels/parts?
