Toyota dealer bought mine for 41k last month. 2018 TRD Off-road with 17k miles. I didn’t buy anything from them, just sold them my truck. ALGO similar to carvana also offered me 41k but they had fees involved.
After more than 20 years in car sales, I can tell you these are the rules at every traditional car dealership: 1. Make *ALL* the money 2. Try to at least make *SOME* money 3. Just sell the damn car and hope the next customer is profitable Carvana and others like them don't negotiate. What that means to you is, places like Carvana won't exactly "clean your clock" but you defiantly could have done better at a traditional dealership if you are willing to negotiate. If you just don't want to negotiate or don't have the time, just understand that you will pay more than you had too.
As far as I know a private buyer always pays the sale tax. It’s 6.25% in TX, and another guy on here said you have to in TX. I’ve heard all used cars are more highly valued than ever before due to Covid.
I've heard rumors that CARVANA was the best when it comes to selling trucks to them. But I do not believe I could let my Tundra go but I do understand that in your case, you are looking for new features.
I actually sold it to a car broker for for 23k Carvana changed there pricing . Heads up Any one with used truck . There is a huge demand for trucks cause if the construction boom . You can get 20 percent more then private sale value . Good luck
@@bheras06 yea man don’t do that . If you own a used truck it’s worth so much right now. There a chip shortage and construction boom that’s making the demand for used truck sky rocket . I actually used a car broker who offered me 3k more then Carvana and CarMax .
I'm ready to sell at 36.5k,only 5500 depreciation in 4 years. Im ready to sell but let me take off the wheels lol!Autonation must selling it for the new price?
yo mike i went back and was watching your ebay videos again and noticed you do like guns as well as cars . ever thought about doing some gun videos to add to your content .
0:19 - are you loving the sound of your paint being scratched by those bristles? The guys in front of you probably just washed off his muddy Jeep and you’re getting the leftover mud chunks/rocks hitting your paint. But you’re selling it anyway so who cares, right?! 😝
Just take it to Carvana, they send a check to the finance company and what ever is left on the loan I think you pay it. Always buy a cash car if you can, you’ll be much happier. Just buy a reliable Toyota.
I doubt you can get anything remotely close to the prices you have on here. Seems like a lot of gimmicks to bring you in and no way someone on FB is paying that price when that person can buy a limited or platinum with that money and finance. FYI , all used cars price went up including my awesome f150.
Used car prices went up, that’s why he can get these prices. Lots of used Tundras are being sold for more than new at the moment if you have an in-demand color or package. $38,000 is actually a pretty low private party price for that vehicle right now.
@ Jorge: Why would you consider any of that? Maybe a little from mods, but don’t expect much. Taxes and insurance...it’s the cost of owning a vehicle. 😂
@@greenbanana2332 becuae its money u lost plates alone for three years iis like 1500 another 3k in taxes and mods ? Wheels tires another 2 k atleast and lift ? Hes talking about not losing put alot of money but he already spent alot more so in reality spent way more
@@jorgebadillo8755 Unsure if you have ever bought/sold a vehicle, but you don’t factor in previous years taxes and registration costs. That’s fully paid by current owner. No plates, no registration, no taxes paid...? Good luck on selling it. Mods are only valued at what the buyer is willing to pay...not necessarily what the seller paid for it.

thats is correct
The buyer pays the sales tax at the DMV when they go to register is in CA.
not in AZ :)

What are you basing the original price from? Are you including the taxes and fees, and what about the extended electronic warranties ?
I find it funny when people call a truck a “car” and a front wheel drive compact suv a truck .
Even worse is when people who have a little crossover, call it a truck lol my brother does that
After going thru that wash the truck is worth $500 less
gianfrancoa lol ikr who uses those things these days.
Why?
@@Bshugs those brushes are too aggressive on the paint.
gianfrancoa makes sense but do you hand wash your vehicle? I dont have the time nor desire to soend 3 hours on a saturday doing that :/
@@Bshugs you can do touchless wash as they are less aggressive
Argggggg.....HATE running my vehicles through the beater car wash! So hard on the paint...
2016 Dodge Ram eco diesel , 71 k miles , CarMax offered 20k and Carvana offered me 24.5k . Huge price difference . Go with Carvana guys
U sold to carvana yet ?

What size wheels and tires you got on that thing? looks sick
To my surprise Carmax was the worst low ball ever as well lol, lesson learned
Saw the thumbnail and only came to comment "you know better than to sell to a dealership"
I got over double what I estimated getting for my car at a carmax last weekend.
Kryptic's 710 Adventures that extra $100 bucks will go far.
where did you go?
Carvana is hands down a great place to sell your car too
looking to sell my charger, glad I found your vid, thanks for posting. DX'ing my carmax appt for tomorrow!
Did u sell it
Carvana is the best for tacomas idk if tundras the same
carvana is the worst place to buy or sell
They do pay sales tax when they register it.
Car max low balls every time
Guess ur going with fb market place?
38000 seems like too much for 2 year old truck that originally sold for 42000... just my opinion! Glad you got some good cash offers though!
very helpful video! Thank you!

Is the 42k original prichase price inclusive of taxes and any loan interests?
No, 45k was with taxes and fees.
thanks for your research. God bless you
how does it work on fb when some one buys your car when you still owe money on it.
they make the check out to the bank who holds the lien and you get the difference
Why didnt you sell it privately you probably get more money
Don't buy a car on line like eBay . Finally you lost your deposit when you change your mind.
I called it 33k and they will sell it for 38k
Someone help me plz . I have. 2017 Jeep Cherokee sport that I need to sell because I can’t afford the car payments anymore. But I still owe on it,

All that driving around is adding more miles on it which could be dropping the price
Eli A between 70,000 and 100,000 you depreciate roughly 11 cents per the mile on 2016 tundra The f150 depreciates 16 cents per mile
People on Facebook marketplace will offer you then flake last minute

carmax just had too many tundras
