    if your going to finance always ask the price of the car not the payment. car dealers love to say well I can get you this payment .... nope price of car is everything

      Oh of course. Great tip! When I say net price that's what I mean, net purchase price. Not monthly price.

    I learned something today worth mentioning if you are going for a 1 for 1 in the end: you pay taxes on the difference in sale price minus trade in. So if you don't trade in where you buy, you will pay taxes on the crappy offer they gave you that you are declining. Likely not worth not selling it where you get the most anyway, but worth considering.

      Nice! Auto nation bought one of my mustangs and one of my 300's. They are hot and cold but can give really good deals based on the car.

    Thank you! This was extremely helpful. Now I know why my phone blew up when I checked Kelly Blue Book by area dealers. I’m heading to Car Max

    Thanks for sharing! Have you ever traded in a vehicle for another that is less expensive and got a check for the difference? My husband and I are going to sell our paid off Honda Odyssey, buy a decent used minivan and use the difference to get out of debt. We were wondering if it would be smarter to sell to one dealership to try to get the most for our van and then buy from another so we can have a stronger negotiating muscle. We were thinking it would be better that the place we end up buying it from didn't know we just got a big check type thing.... Thoughts on the best way to go about that?

    say you did the kelly blue book value online and a dealership calls you. you take the care in to them and they are pigeon holing you to the kbb price. would you have been better not doing the kbb online and going to that dealership that calls you but rather just going to that dealership without them calling you because you got went thru the kbb online price and them calling you? hope this makes sense? wouldnt dealerships just put you at the kbb price regardless? im confused a bit on this.

    I actually got an offer from carvana of 22,400 and the dealership quoted me 18,550 for my 2022 Red Edition Jeep Renegade 19'' tires 4wd 4000 miles on it alarm,satillite radio,onstar,and more. I drive 3 days a week and just bought it new 6 months ago. I still have it. No one will pay the true market value. car guru offered 16.000 So in my case carvana was the best. I'm still trying to figure this out where to sell. Car max offered me 20,000 JDpower gave me a value of 26,470 but i cant even get close to anyone buying for that amount. and ideas?

      You can look in other areas of the country. For a couple thousand dollars it might be worth driving 6 to 8 hours to get that kind of money. Just depends on how far you're willing to go.

    What if you just want to sell the car to the dealership and not buy another car…?

    Dealerships are lower than Carvanna and I know because I sold my car to them.

      How does carvana work

    • @chrismaxny4066
      @chrismaxny4066 5 месяцев назад

      @@claudiayanirarojas1808 First you get an offer from them by going on the website. Then you have a number of days to accept the offer. If you accept the offer there's the usual paper work to fill out and they schedule a day to pickup your car. A few days later they send a check or transfer the funds into your back account your choice. It was a completely smooth transaction. The only thing is you have to be completely upfront about any damages to your car.
