Thanks, Tim. It was the first time out bike packing for me but I really did enjoy it and I will definitely be doing it again after lockdown. Thanks for watching, really appreciate it.
Hello Si, hope you're well. This was filmed last summer but I definitely intend dragging the bike out again this year. Thanks for watching, mate. be safe! 👍
good video,. enjoyed that...one thing however, when the music comes on it is quite a lot louder than the speech....requiring the watcher/listener to constantly be turning the volume up & down
Thanks, Matt and yeah you're right about the volume. I have now mastered that though with some new software I use. So hopefully it won't be an issue in future videos. Thanks for watching, really appreciate it.
My first trip will be up the Tissington trail from Ashbourne to Hurdlow then Knotlow farm campsite on the first day. The second day will be down the High Peak Trail towards Middleton, but turning off before to go around Carsington Water, then back across to Tissington to get on that trail to go back to the car. Nice to see some of the ground I'll be covering.
That factory halfway through might be the Friden brickworks at www.openstreetmap.org/#map=17/53.14365/-1.74701 ? The Eroica Britannia classic bike ride/festival was in the fields just west of it a couple of years ago (it wasn't running 24h then, at least) - I remember being part of the sunset ride up the trail to the Royal Oak pub at Hurdlow, then belting far too fast back to camp after dark on a downtube-shifter Peugeot in full racing kit.
Great video, excellent location. Looked like a cracking ride, thanks for taking us all along. Just subscribed. Look forward to watching more of your adventures. ATB Dan.👍👍👍👍
I enjoyed this bike packing vid Mark. It's something I've been thinking about doing myself for some time, definitely going to start getting some plans together. Thanks for sharing. Dan
Interesting little journey. Those old quarries look like good places to explore. I remember seeing your aerial photos on Instagram of that bronze age burial mound. Good stuff 👍
There are loads of those quarries. Perfect when with a bike. My bike is so heavy I can't be climbing over fences and walls with it. Thanks for watching, much appreciated.
@@QuakerJones268 I don't have a push bike at the mo, but like the idea of it. Definitely don't want to be lugging something around that's too heavy though!
Relaxing and enjoyable video.
Thanks, much appreciated. It was a great night out and I can't wait to get out again once Covid restrictions are lifted.
Glad you enjoyed it. 👍
Good stuff. Thanks for sharing.
Thanks John,. Much appreciated 👍
Nice smooth footage from the bike....cracking trail for cycling that Mark. Great drone shots, glad you enjoyed it...I did.......cheers....Stu.....👍👌🚲
Cheers Stu and thanks for watching. The camera I use is an Osmo Pocket which has a stabilizing gimble on it making it ideal for this kind of stuff. 👍
@@QuakerJones268 That gimble makes all the difference...👌

Sounds excellent the Royal Oak is a cracking pub. It could well have been a brick factory. Thanks for watching.

Cheers buddy, much appreciated. 👍
Nice video. I really need to get back out on a bikepacking adventure soon. Ive just returned from Cornwall, tempted to bikepack down 😅
There is a cycle route down to Cornwall, I checked it out on the map. It uses old dismantled railway lines
@@QuakerJones268 that would be incredible
@@ExpeditionDean I remember researching it a couple of years ago. You should look into it and give it a go 👍
I enjoyed your micro adventure, made me want to get oiy on my bike too.

Great video Mark, looks like an a great trail. What are you using to film this? Osmo?
Yes mate, I used the Osmo for this with the extension rod. Hope you're well and thanks for watching. 👍

Wilderness 'N' Ale mine weighs a ton but it does the job so I’ll keep it to go out every now and again.
Cracking video pal liked how you filmed while riding cracking
Cheers mate, my Osmo is really stable. I'm enjoying using it.
