I would have to say The Scorpions “Love Drive” is an album I heard first from them, and is still my favorite from all their recordings. Billy Idol’s “Whiplash Smile” is my favorite, but I didn’t hear it first. It’s one that I know I’ll love from the first to the last song every time. The guitars are on another level. Steve, I thought you had all the Kikagaku Moyo albums?? Cool, that you got those two in. Tomo, from the group will release a limited mini album in November. Two different 7’ albums. Guruguru Brain is releasing a lot of special albums. I’m sad though, the latest from Minami Deutsch is sold out for the US market. The EU ones are too pricey for shipping. Jim, I love that Moody Blues album. Steve, I heard Avalon first as well, I have all the other albums, but they are a totally different listening experience, different band, different vibe than all their other albums. “Avalon” is like putting on a Sade album. You know that every song is perfect, plus the sound is brilliant. Their other albums are definitely an art school vibe, of musicians having fun and throwing the kitchen sink into the mix. They take quite a few listens to get the whole vibe.
Michael I was still missing the first 3 Moyo albums. Was so excited to stumble upon them. I remember you talking to me about Whiplash smile and your love for it so I had to get it n when it comes to guitars you always know what is awesome.
Happy Labor Day Jim and Steve. Some Girls, along with Exile on Main Street are my favorite Rolling Stones albums. Agree with Wet Leg, the next record needs to be a Paul’s Boutique type of album. Great episode- I would have R.E.M.’s Monster on my list.
Bowie is one of those artists who changed... a lot and left fans scratching their heads. I grew up as the Ziggy Stardust era began and that's what I liked. It was a blow when Station to Station came out followed by Low, "Heroes", and Lodger and he lost me. I stopped buying Bowie albums and stopped following him at Station to Station and kind of forgot about him until I saw the 50th birthday concert (on HBO?) around 1997 and even though he was onto yet another music style by then there were new songs revisiting themes of space and alienation that felt familiar yet fresh. That's when I dove back into his current (at the time) catalog and even went back to those late 70's Eno assisted, ambient-ish albums. Now I have his complete catalog... twice! Once in individual buys with some going back to the original pressings from the early 1970's and the second set in the form of his "eras" box sets.
Bowie was the great chameleon in music. He was always adopting into what ever style was becoming popular. He was a hard artist to keep up with Every album did seem so different from the last didnt it
Hi Guys, great video, as per usual, I disagree, I don't have to have any Zappa in my collection. I only have albums that I like or that have some sentimental meaning to me in my collection.
Peter, a collection should be albums that make you smile. I do have items that I have tried that I’m not that excited about. I keep trying to purge those Peter.

There are three Steely Dan albums I like better than Aja. Warchild is my favorite Jethro Tull album. Let It Be is my favorite Beatle album. Powerage is my favorite AC/DC album. The first Rush album is my favorite by a mile. For the Kinks, it's between Soap Opera and Low Budget. Since my assessment is obviously correct, I have no idea what is going through other people's head.

Mike, great call on Monster, many would not have picked that one. Great album though
Great show. Love Tull - Benefit & Stand Up are 2 faves. Cramps! Yes!
Bobby, I am a huge Tull fan also and Cramps rate as one of my top bands of all time

Lmao Darrell, yes your assessment is the written word! War Child for Tull, really, wow. That does fit right in for sure. I struggle with that album.
