    Tried this recipe last night and it turned out great ! Since I don’t have a crock pot, I used a regular boiler pot on the stove top. Used the same recipe I would’ve used for ground beef & I barely noticed a difference in the taste, so I’ll be using it from now on. 1lb of ground meat browned, half an onion diced (red), several cloves of garlic, half of a jalapeño pepper finely diced, chili seasoning of your choice, 2 cans of ranch style beans (undrained), 1 can of chili ready tomatoes 🔥

    Because I don't eat beef, I only use turkey for recipes that call for ground beef..... but I always season my turkey immediately so that it takes on the flavor of the seasons and spices. I have found that browing my meat first and then seasoning, the turkey still tends to have a raw/bland taste. I also use beef bullion and then follow any beef chili recipe. I've even tried yours, and it works perfectly. My family members, that are beef lovers, never realize that I actually sub ground turkey in place of the beef.😉
    Keep the videos coming I love how you are "simplifying these recipes and taking the mystery out of cooking"
    Grace and peace.

    • @marywilson9660
      @marywilson9660 3 года назад +1

      @@supremerulah420 yes it's nice to do a mix if the budget allows. But being on a budget I can usually find ground turkey for $2 a pound or less and I stock up my freezer. I usually season with Dale's or Allegro marinades, which has many flavors, Ilike the spicy one. The marinades tend to cut that turkey flavor. Then your regular seasonings garlic powder, onion powder, pepper and sometimes beef flavoring, most of the time you don't need salt because of the marinades.

    I'm slow! All I ever do is focus on the recipes. It has taken me this long to recognize the kitchen upgrade! 😆 Looks great A.B.!

    Yo bruh, I’ve been using ground turkey for my chili for YEARS! I now prefer it over ground beef. Your recipe is spot on. What I do differently is that a I sauté my onions and green peppers, then add the meat and seasonings. I also add a little ketchup towards the end. Good eatin’! PEACE ✌🏽

    Very good! Thank you. Made 1/2 of what you did here. Added1/2 cup chicken stock, one diced jalapeño no seeds, 1 tsp flour. Topped bowl with diced onion as well as cheese and sprinkled some Tony Chacheres. No sour cream but bet that would be delicious. But really good chili!

    I've made this twice now and it is perfect. I used hot chili powder instead of regular and 1 can of kidney beans and 1 can of black beans. Best chili I've ever had. Plus I've saved it in the fridge for up to a week and it still taste great reheated in the microwave. I will never buy a can of chili ever again. Great recipe 👍👍👍😁
