Great ❤ Heart Healthy Turkey Chili ! I gotta try this Recipe !
Texas native and have lived here my entire life… I love beans in chili 😊 makes it much more hearty and filling. Nothing better than a warm bowl of chili filled with veggies, beans, and meat!
"Can I tell you something? Of course I can, you're watching this video"
hahaha I love your vibe
I make this chili soooo often now! Thank you so much for providing this recipe! Me and my twin can’t get enough of it !
Tried this tonight and it was so delicious and flavorful. My husband and brother-in-law cleaned the pot. I only used one can of chicken broth, one can of kidney beans, and one can of diced tomatoes but the exact same seasoning. Thank you for sharing ❤️
Also my quick tip for slicing bell peppers is to slice the top off, turn it upside-down, then slice the sections off, you can rescue any nice bits off the top you cut off, and you can maybe rescue the bottom if it looks good. This way you don't get all the bitter white pith, and the seeds stay neatly together. Less mess, easy clean up!
I'm going to try that! thank you!
Nice, what I normally do is push down on the top and cut in line with sections, then seed and everything is in tact then I get rid of any excess I don't want, literally no waste and minimal clean up😊
@@PreppyKitchen hehe you're welcome, its not really my tip, I have to give credit to Gordon Ramsey 😝 I don't remember what show he was on when he shared that info, but it stuck with me lol. A worth while kitchen hack I think!
@@captainscott1096 ah very similar technique! Less mess less stress
Very nice recipie John! They looks amazing! Have a nice day! 👍👏🍴
I make my chili just about the same way John, I add beans to mine, I add white beans so my daughter can see them and fish them out lol.
Thank you for sharing with us, I really enjoy watching and listening so many thanks for that.
Sitting with baited breath for the next video lol, that’s how much I enjoy them.
Enjoy the rest of the week with your sweet family.
❤️Tina❤️
Since starting chemo, my husband can’t tolerate beans, so I switch out with sweet potatoes or butternut squash chunks, amazing chili! Turkey makes it less heavy.
Looks so delicious!! Thank you for this recipe❤
Have a great day John!
Made this tonight, it was great for a rainy day with a piece of cornbread on top!
Looks DELICIOUS! Thanks John I've been looking for a good & easy recipe👏👏👏😎🍸
John, you’ve given me the most awesome idea for Wednesday dinner! I love a good chili.
Amazing Turkey Chili, i know what ill be cooking today!
Thanks John
I made this last night and it was a big hit! I made spaghetti on the side and let everyone put the chili over the top and put shredded cheddar and onions on the side. Perfect!!!
I always watch johns vids even if I have no intention of making the recipe bc he just has such good vibes idk it makes my day
Looks great. I love watching you, you just radiate kindness!❤
Interesting idea to add cocoa powder, my family also puts an unusual ingredient into our chili dishes: cinnamon! In fact it's popular in the midwest to have your chili with nice toasty cinnamon roll on the side, it's the perfect combo of sweet and savory that I would encourage anyone to try. 😊 Thank you for this recipe!
How much cocoa? That sounds interesting!
I’ve also heard of people putting coffee and Kahlua
I’m in Texas-There are people that like beans in they’re chill.
I’m 50/50 because there are chili recipes w/ kidney beans (I like sometimes). I can’t wait to try this because of the cocoa powder action/sounds great 👍
Thank you! Honestly I’m 50/59 too
Same here. Texan that almost prefers beans in my chili. *Gasp* the horror.😉
I’m obsessed with your cooking/baking!!! You r amazing. Keep the humor going!! Love your upbeat personality 👍👍👍👍😀
OMG, you have the knife of my dreams!! Love Henckels. I am so exciting waiting for my book!!! Thanks for all your recipes, you are the best!
Mmmm, I'll definitely add the cocoa. And I love black beans. Such a versatile recipe. 😋
Love your videos! I have the cookbook and can’t wait to make something!💜
The BEST thank you John everything you do is PERFECT many thanks bless to you nd your family
I, too, love the beans in the chili! Love this -- great recipe!
My mouth waters as I watch the video. Definitely trying this recipe! 🤤
This was delicious! Thank you!!
I make my chili very similarly. I use ground turkey and I even add cocoa powder and brown sugar, but I'll also sometimes add refried beans as a way to thicken up the chili.
Can't wait to make this!!!
Great dish! Thank you!
I also love putting celery in all kinds of stew-like dishes. It is an interesting flavor and also very healthy. Plus, if it is cooked, the flavor is not as overwhelming as when it's raw.
Made this following the recommended ingredients and it turned out great.
One of my favorite things to make on my diet 😋
It’s so good for meal prep IMHO
Great recipe. We are a beans in chili family here! Can’t wait to make this one.
Ok! We are having this for dinner tonight!! Thanks, friend!!
I’m from Texas. My husband and I love beans in our chili lol. To each their own.
Ohhhhh la la THAT LOOKS AMAZING! Thanks John 💛🌞
Thank you so much Karina! Hope you enjoy!
Always always enjoy 🤗
This chili looks so yummy.
Like always good job John GOD BLESSED
This is wonderful. Darn it! You always make me hungry. ❤
I love turkey chili. I'll definitely give this recipe a try. I always add beans unless it's for chili dogs.
Thanks for sharing 💜
Another great recipe, I love you cooking , it’s stormy and cold here in the Northeast so chili it is 😊
I am going to try this tomorrow.
I Made this because I'm a subscriber on my email to Preppy Kitchen❤️❤️❤️ A little while back. My boyfriend was scared of the turkey but I had tried turkey chili before and convinced him it would be delicious. It was quite delicious and perfect the way it is. I did add tomatoes because I enjoy the flavor, but beyond that kept everything the same and it was absolutely perfect 👌The recipe made him a believer. The turkey is a lighter and more delicious take on the chili, despite the thought that the beef will be better,I feel it weighs down the dish,so prefer the turkey meat. Love this recipe,is definitely a keeper for the recipe files,a classic;) Wonderful when your hungry when the weather 🌡️ is Hot when you want something light, yet satisfying!
Wow that really easy turkey chilli pepper looks tooo yummy
I had Turkey chili on my menu board tonight so I’m for sure making this one! I also like a little cocoa powder in mine. 😊
LoL... I toss in a few chocolate chips. 😜
If you live near a Mexican market or grocery store get the chocolate that is used in making mole. It's not expensive.
Incredible recepie you are me favorite chef
New subscriber here ☺️ Thank you, I tried your recipe and it’s delicious, also added your family fav into it 🫶 best choice ever! You have a lovely personality, laughed along with you, great company in my kitchen, thank you 💟
Really delicious n flavourful yummy!! 😋😋.
I just made your recipe and replaced the turkey with ground beef and used beef broth. It was a big hit in my house!! Delicious!!
I always add celery to my chili and almost all soups that I make. I love the flavor.
making this tonight! Looks yummy!
I made it last night. Added a little cocoa, too. Was the best chili I ever made.
Always love his recipes. He's really funny to watch on the highest speed when im running low on time.
I really love your vibe.
Good and simple!! 😋
Nice recipe! Celery...yes. Me too. It goes in my chicken chili. The spice mix was what I was after here. Nice.
Just found your Channel....omg 😱 immidietelly subscribed!! Sooo much goood recipes thank you 😊
That looks SO GOOD!! I like when you do savory recipes, but you could seriously have a successful business with those cakes you make. Seriously! 😋
Yummy! Never tried cumin in chili but will now! Thanks John!!
Mmmm chili is one of my top favorite foods 🤤 thanks definitely trying this recipe!!
John, you deserve nothing but success! You are a class act!
I love chili thanks for sharing. I haven’t tried putting celery in my chili but I will next go round. 🙏🏾❤️💕🎚️
Made this Chili for lunch today it was so good. ❤
Delicious thank you. 😋
Started searching for just “chili recipe”. I had gotten so used to your videos showing up first for me I literally said out loud “where’s my guy, oh there he is.”
Looks really good 👍 👌 👏 😋
I made this recipe for lunch today. I was delicious! The spice ratio is perfect, I personally don't like using the prepackaged spice packets. I also added paprika and jalapeño and used 1 can of kidney and 1 can of pinto beans. It was so good I almost couldn't wait 45 min for it to thicken 😋I will be making your gingerbread cookies later tonight!
I believe he has a cookbook. I need this added to my Xmas stocking! 😊
Great video John😊😊
I use black beans. My unusual ingredient is carrots. Love the sweet crunch. I like my chili on the soupy side.
I Love the Beans!! 😄
Great CHEF!!!❤
I love you as a cook. Definitely been are amazing even in stew. Definitely 👍
Made it tonight, it was a big hit!
Thank you for this video.
I wonder if you have a bloopers video? I love the way you make a gaff and just go with it. Thanks for the great and instructive videos!
I also add corn, black beans and green peppers to mine. I just made a huge pot of it to freeze on Sunday. This dish is cheap, yummy and will save you money.
Hey John, people get too wound up about beans or no beans....it's your recipe and you can make it however you like it....I always thought that the beans added more protein if you were a little short on ground meat....yours looks great, thank you.
I do my chilli very similar, I use beef, and I add a ton of veg to make it last a couple of days. I add diced carrot, button mushrooms, red bell pepper, half of a green bell pepper, and sometimes I might chop up some baby sweetcorn too, they act as sponges and soak up all the flavour as the chilli stews. Super yummy. I crumble in a beef oxo cube as the meat cooks through. Because there's so much veg it doesn't need any carbs on the side. Just serve it as a stew with some cheese on, and I like a generous blob of sour cream too 😅❤ YUUUMMMM
Mushrooms sound amazing! My husband can’t eat beans, so I use butternut squash or sweet potato, but mushroom sounds amazing!
Very nice! I'm a make a *big pot the day before* kind of chili maker. I find that this kind of dish tastes amazing - *on a whole other dimension* - the next day. So I always soak then cook my beans from a dry state, and they taste incredible in the finished dish once they marry up for one or even two nights. 😊
Lol 😂😂😂loved the part when the garlic flew😂😂😂😂😂
Awesome!
Love chili 🌶️ with beans 🫘 😁😁😍😍😀😀🥰🥰 thank you for a great recipe! And PS: love the molé 😍
Thanks Amy!
@@PreppyKitchen ❤️
I like the cocoa powder addition, it does deepen the flavor.
And beans or no beans, its all good.
I'm a Texan and I like beans in my chili. There's a lot more of us than we'd like to admit
Nice avocado work!
I actually add celery to my chili. Everyone loves my chili, so I know it's great addtion. And I use a variety of black beans, pinto, and kidney beans.
Thank you. I’ll make this tomorrow since I have leftover turkey
Delicious 😊
I love beans in my chili. I will also enjoy it without, but I think it's necessary in turkey chili, for added meatless. Love this recipe!
Because I had six kids, my chili always had celery/carrots in it, diced small enough so they wouldn't notice. We had to make a pound of hamburger stretch so *many* beans were also added. And ~ I've always moved my cutting board around the kitchen when dicing onions but now I have a hood vent so I just place the cutting board on the stove top and turn the fan on 'high'.
I like how you prepare your garlic!!!!
We use this recipe except with a cooked turkey breast. Super awesome thank you.
So good.
A restaurant here on the East coast called Mad Mex makes their chili with coffee.
Looks so yummy.
I roast or grill my peppers and veggies before adding them, and I only like chili with beans. And yes, I add celery as well.
Nice! Love the grilled peppers!
That looks amazing! I want to make this exactly like yours but go ahead and add coco powder and celery. Toppings Too!!
I always have beans in my chili; I like the texture and the protein.
I am from Texas and I love beans..not a problem here!
Excellent
