Thanks for the info on the feeding tray tabs, saved me an email to Lee, and the zip tie to push the last of the primers through so you don't have to leave 6-10 primers in the trough.
Thanks for the video. I just got the Lee ACP and I'm having the very same problem. The primer tube is too wide. Some primers turn upside down! :( So far I am way ahead of prime with the Lee Auto Prime, but I have to keep a close eye on the primers in line, and still miss one or two. I have a 90 deg angle pick I am using to help get them out or straighten up. BTW, I put a small tie wrap around the tube just below where the primer tray plugs in. That seems to have helped.
This ACP would be awesome if it would feed correctly consistently. I'm having problems with the primers flipping sideways or double feeding, which in some cases causes a primer to pop out and then I have to hunt it down. I also don't like that I couldn't see when a primer was flipped since the feeder pushes a primed casing with a new casing. So I glued a paperclip with a 90 degree end onto the feeder, where it pushes the primed case into the tray before the unprimed case gets pushed into place. That works great so I now can see that the primer is oriented correctly before a new casing is pushing into place. Today I tried an experiment to see if this is worth the effort continuing to try to use it. RCBS hand primer vs Lee ACP, 100 de-capped cases and 100 small primers. The primers and cases are on the bench, ready. RCBS hand primer, 18 minutes total from the time I opened the first box until all 100 cases were primed, inspected, and bagged. Every primer fed perfectly. But it's a hand primer. Lee ACP, 44 minutes total from the time I opened the first box until all 100 cases were primed, inspected, and bagged. After every 2-4 cases, a primer or two would either flip on its side or double feed. I had 12 double feeds, where I had to re-insert the primers manually. I only had to hunt one that popped out and rolled under a cabinet. Several times the primers got stuck in the chute.
Lee made a change in the feed system trough awhile back. If you send them an email or call customer service they will send you a new one for free. I know several people that had similar problems and the new part fixed it. I have not had any issues with mine... I can prime 100 cases as fast as I can pull the handle... I do have to insert a tie wrap to get the last 7 or so primers down, but it has saved this old mans hands! I hand primed for years and was content... but ever since I got this priming is so darn easy and fast!
After 9 or 10 years banging out 45acp on my LoadMaster. I finally broke my large primer feeder. So I ordered another one from Midway and it was of the new design. "About a month and a half ago." I have to say that the new design, I kind of like it better. The on off switch comes in handy. " Just me". I haven't had any problems out of it to date. " about 1000 rounds " so I have to give it a thumbs up. The old style worked great,, until I rammed a 45acp case through it that had a small primer pocket. NOW That I DON"T LIKE. LOL. 😊 Great video Sir, Thank You.
I tried to primre 45 ACP, but not worked.. the case is not properly released because the jaws do not open enough (touching the tosion spring) and is not centered. no issue with 9mm or without the torsion spring.. Which version of this pres you have? I'm really frustrated as at first try I damaged the plastic fingers..
APP is new to me and working out quirks. Currently loading 38 sp/ 357 Magnums and 30-30 Win. What do you use for a lube on a brass slider as mine twist and hang up on the left side?
Go back and read the instructions... about putting a twist on the spring... it will stop the hanging up. I don't use any lube as the plastic is self lubricating.
I have done 9mm, 45acp, 38spl, 357 mag, 223, 6.5 grendel, 6.5 creedmoor and 30-06 with no problems. Getting the case feeder tubes set right is the time consuming part.

Your more then welcome!
Thank you for watching and commenting.
Looks pretty good Lee is always changing things
Yep, sometimes the changes they make make a huge difference!
Thanks Bro

Yea, those small primer pocket 45acp cases can make a good day bad real quick!
Thank you sir

That counter is a nice option
Makes the whole thing a lot easier for an old man...LOL
Cost all of $9 to make it, that's my kind of upgrade!
Thanks
Great video. I did not know about back access to the primer holder and the counter is brilliant. Where did you get those collator harnesses?
Thanks!
If your talking about the red rings that hold the tubes together I got them off Ebay.
@@papasplace2 Thanks
I don't have the APP yet , let alone the ACP . lol
You don't know what your missing... They are better then sliced bread for case prep! LOL
Thanks James

Where did you get that steel tool from?
I did a video on it... ruclips.net/video/w4k2nqDbDus/видео.html
It freaking rocks!
👍🇺🇸
Do you tried with 45 ACP? I had a lot of problems..
