its not dirt in pockets, those cases had a crimp mark on primers which you need to remove by swaging or using the pocket tool like you did

i have found that if i use the K+N brand primer pocket reamer i have zero problems with this now. hundred of brass.. for me, it was using a high quality primer pocket reamer, i also use a DACam Reloadin tool power pod, with a amazon foot peddle. to make fast work of swaging and pocket reaming..

have you had issues with primers getting flipped in the feed trough. I just set a deluxe app up and I couldn't get a primer to feed to the press. Seems much of the trough has plastic burrs jamming everything up

The trough needs to stay full as it is still gravity fed. Flipped primers can also be caused by not completing the stroke...plus you need to work with a good pace, no need to slam the press. I have not found any with burrs on the plastic.

My original ACP would crush primers a lil too often for me. They gave me a new primer chute. Same problem. I now prime with the Lee bench prime and have never had a problem. I love my APP, but I'm not spending money on the upgrade kit. You can only buy it with the handle, which I had already bought for both the APP and ACP.

So have you noticed of all the problematic brass was the same head stamp?

No, I got a batch of brass from a local shooting range and they have been giving me issues...most were berdan primed cases converted to boxer primers.
