Angie - this is an amazing video! Thank you for showing me a whole new world to sublimation. I’ve only begun with tumblers and had no idea there were slate projects, metal projects, etc. To use with sublimation. You’ve opened up a whole new world for me. Cricut AutoPress here I come!
I LOVE this video!! My husband surprised me for Mother's Day and got me the new Autopress. It showed up yesterday and of course, I had to make a shirt for my granddaughter. Since I found sublimation I don't use HTV anymore but I have a ton of it. I didn't have a polyester shirt last night so I layered vinyl. OMG, the autopress was so easy to use for each layer. I loved it! I will definitely start using my HTV again, but I also still love sublimation. I didn't realize there were all these other things that could be sublimated. I really appreciate all the links you provided. Now I need to go buy all the fun things to sublimate.
I have looked at several videos of yours. You are very thorough and make every step easy and informative. The Auto Press sounds very interesting. But I think I will wait awhile before I make a decision to purchase. Thanks for sharing your knowledge.
Awesome video, Angie. After watching you an Corie at Sublimation Camp I ordered the Nomex and green pads, my Autopress should be here tomorrow (after having been delayed by the stupid weather) and I can NOT WAIT!! Today I'm heading up to make sure it has a perfect spot in my craft room. Your videos are super helpful, so thank you! Also LOVED Sublimation Camp and can't wait to make some of the projects. I ordered all of the stuff I need to make Jen Swift's notebooks, they're going to make super gifts!
Loved to see the slate!!!! I have been debating using those, because I've heard how difficult they could be to sublimate. I would have liked to see how it works if you put multiples of stuff like several coasters at the same time
Hi Angie, I have a question about the nomex pad, do you have the nomex pad on top of the cricut mat? Or did you remove the cricut mat and just used nomex pad? Thank you.
Thanks for the video, very helpful! I just received this heat press for Christmas and I was looking into what it can sublimate. Would you have another link to the metal bowl blank? I’ve never seen that and I thought it was very cool! The link that is posted no longer works. Thanks again!
Thanks for the video-this is all new for me! Do you have a detailed video on sublimation- I have no idea what it’s all about 🙃. Where did you purchase the metal bowl- loved it! 🥰
Hi Angie, awesome video!!! Just love your video's I know I have said it many timee before and mostly likly say it again and again lol really love the green bowl and the cutting broad but the are all very nice!!!! Thank you Hugs Liz...
Hello Angie, I love your videos! I had a few questions I hope you can answer. The felt pad that you have is it ½in or ⅛in? What is the name of the green pad and can you explain why you need it if you have protective paper? And lastly, did you print the images with your converted printer and if so what program were you printing from (photoshop, illustrator, word...) and what are your printer settings? You create beautiful work! Thanks for your time!
I use the 1/2 inch nomex in this video. The green pad is a heat conductive rubber pad from Conde. It is used to distribute heat evenly across surfaces that may not be even like tiles or slate. I did print the images with my converted printer and I printed them all from Photoshop. I used my custom ICC profile from Hiipoo for all of these.
Love, love, love your videos. Just got mine today. You are always my first stop. Just wondering, do you think using the mini press around the edges may help? If so, for how long? Thanks again.
Angie, QUESTION, I can only purchase one heat press, this one is on sale. Would you recommend this more than a swing away press? I am 67 and have painful hands. I have found I really love making sublimation items. I have limited space. I can get a swing away off brand for less money, but that auto open is really calling my name. Torn on what to do.
Hi angie...well I was able to order the auto press. Ordered it from hsn. I was noticing your wall. Where did you find your peg board and pegs. I like that set up and need space in my craft room for storage. Thank you so much for your videos.
Question about the Nomex pad - did you remove the heat pad at the bottom of the press and replace with the Nomex pad? Or did you lay the Nomex pad on top of the pressing pad in the autocross?
Thank you so much for all this information, very helpful! I know these are the other supplies you use but is there a green pad that can be used that isn't so expensive? $122 for the pad is quite a bit unless I'm reading it wrong?
I am just now in the market for the heat press and I have seen your review for this cricut and the htvront2. Which do you recommend? Thanks for your time.
thank you very much for you video... it is so interesting for me ... i 've a question.. is it possible to find you metal bowl In europe (France) Thank you so much for your reply. Florian
I received the AutoPress for Christmas. The link to the green rubber pad isn't working. Would you send me a link to that pad or one that replaces the green rubber pad, if it is no longer available. I plan to use it for wind spinners. Do you have a video on sublimating wind spinners with the auto press? Thank you.
You can find a similar pad at Heat Press Nation. I have done wind spinners on the autopress. I would just recommend a firmer mat in the press instead of the one that comes with it.
@@AngieHolden Thank you for the information. I previously purchased the protective project mat from Artesprix and it has been working great when I sublimate wind spinners with the easy press. I plan to use that with the AutoPress.
Thank you for another super video! On the Nomex pad and green pad, is there another source? It looks like they’re sold in case quantity. Thanks again! My auto press should arrive next week!
Hello, Angie! I am new to your channel. Great video. I am now a new subscriber to your channel. I have heat press that I inherited from someone for free. I have been leaning toward purchasing the autopress because my heat press doesn't seem to get my transfer right. Do you think the autopress is better than a regular heat press? I am trying to determine if its worth the expense since I already have a way to do the transfer.
I never use heavy pressure on my glass. I use a 4 which is slightly less than medium pressure. How do you know what pressure the cricut press is using? I find slate exceedingly easy to press and find you just need the correct temp and pressure for your press. I find photos work best for a vivid display. Thanks for doing these. Now would love to see acrylic photo panels done. That and pens are my next try to conquer.
The Cricut automatically sets the pressure so you don't know how much it is applying. I go by what the blank states for the pressure on my other press.
Hi Angie! I just got the autopress for Christmas. Your video was helpful. Thanks! I do have a question about using the nomex pad. Do you use that instead of the pad that comes with the press or in addition to it? Thanks!
The Nomex pad is made from Nomex material so it is not silicone. Teflon should generally NOT be used for sublimation. If you are talking about the green pad, that is a rubber heat conductive pad and Teflon should NOT be used in the place of that.
Wow! I'm still working on figuring out the Cricut 3! Who knew. Thank you for all your helpful videos! I wanted to do a little side hustle and make cute designs on bland t-shirts, totes, etc... I better get selling to afford my crafting habit! 😂 I ended up buying a bunch of patches to get going until I get this down pat. I unfortunately keep cutting corners and wasting expensive products like vinyl. Oh my this looks too fun!

The Nomex is a sublimation felt. That is what I like for under the blanks. The AutoPress is a 12x15 so I would at least get that size. You can trim it with scissors.

I don't have the money or the space for the new press, but enjoyed the video just the same. Thanks as always for being so thorough!

Have you done wind spinners on this heat press? Could you do wind spinners if you haven’t done any
I would add a firm heat resistant mat instead of the mat that comes with it but they should be fine.

Hi, I would really want to see sublimation on shirts, to see if it leaves press lines. Thanks
I am doing HTV on shirts in my next video and had zero issues with that and they were all polyester.
Awesome video Angie. I’m pretty sure I’m going to need an auto press. I hope you will have a link on the release date as you have sold me on this!
Auto press cost almost a $1000.00 from what I have read, but I hope that is not the cost.
I will be sharing it on the release date as well!

It is sublimation paper printed on a sublimation printer with sublimation ink. The paper alone is not what makes this process happen.
I already have that sublimation printer ink jet printer and I have the sublimation paper print the pink one
off subject, but extremely interested....are you related to a Norma Jean ST?
nope
Would you say this heat press is better than their other heat presses? I would be really hesitant to pay so much for this, considering my other heat press started having issues about a year after I bought it.
There are definitely benefits to it and it is going to depend on the individual whether or not it is worth it.
