Angie, You are so amazing and inspiring! I'm just recovering from a major illness and you are inspiring me to push ahead cause I want to try ALL of them! Thank you! God bless you too!
Angie, your “experimentation” episodes are always intriguing and some of my very favourites! I’m a huge Dollar Tree blank fan and I love how you save me so much trial and error! Oh and with the tea towels I had the same pressing issue with it flattening the area… I found using a nice, sticky lint roller for a few minutes “fluffed” everything back up nicely!
I used several of those white towels from the Auto section for christmas gifts. Made them into a car towel for relatives. They are so soft, I love them
I did a bunch of ribbon. I made binky clips and mitten clips with them for my new great nephew! The socks. Tall socks I pit on a messed up tumbler and put through tumbler press!
I love your videos. They are so thorough, regardless of what you are talking about in the video. You are my "goto". Thank you Angie. I sincerely appreciate everything you do!
Thank you so much, my microfiber car towels are so much better now, had pressing lines and I was pressing at 400 for 60 sec too long. Love baby blanket and scarfs too. Ripping the paper makes huge difference. You rock it girl.
my son works at the Dollar and a Quarter Tree.. that's what I call it now...lol. I need to go and get some more stuff now that I have time to fool around and try things. Thanks for the ideas
I love when you experiment! I am loving the baby blanket too. Such a cute idea and a great gift, but then again, they are all great gifts! Can't wait to look around my DT for some nice blanks. Hugs, Brenda
I love all of these items!! I have done quite a few of them. I loved the mermaid tail sequin pencil holder.I made those for my nieces when school started and they loved them with their names on them. The tails came out fine on mine pressed at 400 for 60 seconds. Great video, thank you very much!! 💗💙💛💜💗💙💛💜💗💙💛💜
The items you found were amazing. I have all but given up on Dollar Tree suggestions as my local ones never seem to stock what others find. Its sad since one of their biggest DC's is half a mile away from me. We have many local stores. I will stop again and see if the blankets are a local item for me. Reading the tags is a great tip.
I had tried the socks from the Dollar Tree before seeing this video and they came out amazingly well! I grabbed all I could at the time I was there and will do something probably for graduation or other upcoming holiday or special occasion. Wish I could post a pic of the 🧦.. Now I'm encouraged to try the other items, esp the items that are darker in color.
Angie, I love your videos….I have learned so much from you! One thing I need to know….how do I adjust the pressure on my heat press? There is a knob on top but there are no markings on it so I don’t know how to determine light to heavy pressure. Thanks for your help!
Awesome video, still learning how!! Can you possibly do a video showing how to do sublimation on a ball cap, every step please. I have the switch out press and can not figure how to press. Thanks!! My favorite was the towels!!!
Hard to pick a favorite, but I’d have to say probably the baby blanket and dish towel, as I would most likely be making these as gifts. Absolutely excellent video. I’ve been sublimating for a few months - and learning as I go - but haven’t been much on textiles yet, so having a process (with the lint roller especially) and a baseline is fantastic! Thank you so much!
Oh my goodness, I was literally just at the dollar tree 2 days ago and picked up some of these items with intent to try and sublimate on them. I'm so glad I found this video they look great 😁
Angie, Thank you so very much for this video. It's difficult to have a favorite, everything turned out great. I am loving the baby blanket though. I am fairly new to Sublimation and have learned so much from you. I love to experiment on anything that is Polyester or Poly/cotton blend. When I'm shopping, I find myself checking to see what the Polyester count is. I want to Sublimate on everything...lol. Thank you again for another informative tutorial.
You will not be able to do hard surface items from there as those need a poly coating on them. I picked items that were may from polyester for my examples.
Such great ideas!! I may have to visit many dollar trees because my "go-to" store is always busy and never has any of the things I see in videos. Thanks for the ideas! I loved them all 💜
Oh what great ideas! You are always so amazing in your videos with your experiments! I love them all but my favorites are the baby blanket and the microfibre cloth--definitely making that one for fathers day. Thanks again for these great videos!
This is a great video!! I’m just about to set up my sublimation printer and since it is inkjet, I’m pretty sure you can’t let it sit for weeks inbetween printing or the print heads clog so this was an awesome video to inexpensively print “something” so my printer doesn’t get messed up! Thank you!
Oh my goodness that was so great! I love getting things from the Dollar tree because I'm on a budget and a tightwad. I'm going to try them and I really hope that they come out as good as yours. One of my favorite ones is the pillow and the kitchen tails because I did try that infusible ink on some of the kitchen towels before and it did not work but I'm going to try it again and I love the fact that you give us the temperatures that you use because that is extremely helpful. I love your show
I will have to try the ribbon for a wedding. I tried the socks but I placed the whole sock under and it stuck. Now I will try again with the heel off the press. I will try the mermaid tails for my granddaughters. Loved them all
Loved the baby blanket! My question is, if you sublimate on a little darker colors, like the kitchen towel, baby blanket, and scarf, will those colors fade? I see they don't come up as bright had the items been white, but they still looked pretty reasonable.
You are not seeing anything that is faded. Sublimation ink is translucent so the grey of the towel is showing through the sublimation. The permanency of the sublimation method is the same on any color it just appears differently.
Hi Angie. I just came across your channel and I’m living all your sublimation video. I am researching things before I jump into it. I wanted to know if the materials, tshirts, etc. should be washed first before putting the design on it? Thanks! 😊
Love your videos! Soooo informative! I do a lot of woodworking and sandblast etching for craft shows and such want to add sublimation items to my stock. I've seen some of your videos about converting Epson printers to sublimation. Which printer is your goto for this? Looking to start collecting the needed items for this next adventure
Angie I always gleam such great crafting tips from your tutorials!! I am still crafting in "the dark ages" in that I do not have a heat press- I still use a household iron and I have Cricut Infusible Ink pens but have never used them. Could you do a tutorial like you did in this one using Infusible Ink pens and a household iron? Thanks.
Hi Angie, love your channel. Thank you for sharing these items. Your colors are popping. I have the ET 4700, use hiippo sublimation ink and A sub paper. I have not done the ICC profile for better coloring ( I watched your video on that) can you do a video on printer preference presets for better coloring apart from using photoshop for ICC Profiles. I’ve been struggling with trying to get better coloring when sublimating.
Angie...It was awesome. I still haven't used my sublimation printer that I got in September because of health and intimidation of trying to learn Inkscape. I noticed that you used the heat pad with the heat press. Is this necessary?
The pad is only necessary to avoid press marks or lift things up that are odd. And you can just print with any application and see if you like the colors. Please don't think you need to use inkscape or any other program!
LOVE this video!! Do you think the other side of the sequins on the mermaid tail could also be sublimated in…so there is a something different on each side of the sequins when they are flipped? 🤷♀️
Great information. Love all these ideas. I don’t have a sublimation printer, can infusible ink work just as well? Or do you need to do something different?

Thank you so much ! Could you do the same thing with CRICUT INFUSIBLE INK ? And do i need to use butcher paper I live in Canada and it's sold in big rolls and is quite expensive ? Thank you for your time.😀
Yes. You can do the exact same thing with infusible ink as it works the same way. Butcher paper is good. You can use copy paper. White kraft paper. Sublimation protective paper. Lots of options!

Hey Angie! Can I design my own graphic for a sublimation shirt? Like I want to make a graphic of my daughters name and sublimate that on a shirt. Can this be done? I put this on an older video but thought you would see it faster on a newer one! 💓🤗
The easiest way to do this is in Cricut Design Space. It is free and fairly easy to use for simple designs. You can get more complicated of course but for just one gift I would stick with that!
So jealous of you who have good dollar tree's. Here in CA, I have never seen the hats, baby blankets, only a few socks, basically nothing I can sublimate too
How do these blankets and blanks hold up after being used regularly? Daily life I mean. I am new to sublimation and was excited to sell some of my cricut crafts, but don't want to sell items that will fall apart.
That is the only issue with dollar tree stuff! I think some of these are pretty great quality like the blanket and the microfiber towel. The hat and pillow I am not sure of the quality. So it is just going to depend on what you find.
Thank you so much! New sublimation crafter here and I was trying to figure out how to know what blanks I could use and you answered all my questions!
Glad it was helpful!

Happy to help!
Thank you for sharing all your clever ideas - I love that you share! Keep up the great work

It is just by feel. Adjust until it feels light or medium or heavy.
Awesome video, still learning how!! Can you possibly do a video showing how to do sublimation on a ball cap, every step please. I have the switch out press and can not figure how to press. Thanks!! My favorite was the towels!!!

Heading to my dollar tree as soon as my headache goes away! Going to see what I can find. Love the baby blanket!
Me too! Good luck!
Thank you so much I loved the way you did the blanket so I think it is my favorite
I like the baby blanket you could do so many things to personal it.
YES!
Angie what an awesome tutorial I'm learning sublimation trying to do a pillow with multiple sections.
I have seen those pillows but haven't tried one yet!
I definitely want to try the Mermaid tail pouch.. it is so cute
I love them all. I will be doing the blanket and socks

The baby blanket. I don't have a sublimation printer. If I bought the sublimation paint could I do this?I love your prints.
You could use sublimation paint, Infusible Ink, sublimation markers, etc.
Angie awesome video thank you never thought about using dollar tree items. I am going to try the infusible ink on the blanket and ribbon
I have used Infusible Ink on the blankets and loved it!

The same as stated in the video. Seriously I barely pressed down with my heat press. An EasyPress should work fine.

That will be tough since the top is not smooth. You can try adding a rubber sheet over the top of your sublimation print. That can help distribute the heat.

Could you use an over to avoid press marks Or is the pressure 100% needed to transfer
For fabrics, you need to press. You can use an oven for things like tumblers but you need to use shrink wrap to get the pressure.
How do you get even heat on the clamshell press when you cannot get the zipper to hang off the side?
Try adding a pressing pillow inside to raise up the area you need to press.
