@mobileburn Three parts! You really take some time to make high quality reviews! You're startin' to become one of my favorite tech journalist in youtube man!
I love this phone, I hope I get it for my birthday in a month. I love blackberries. Blackberry and the iPhone 4 are the only smart phones I'd ever get!
I think I'm going to buy this. The only thing stopping me is not having an ipod, becuase I have the iPhone 3GS right now. These look better for communication and they look like they do everything i use my iPhone for: facebook, texting, internet, calling. I really don't use a lot of the other apps other than Maps when I'm lost somewhere.
I know it is not an Android match, but having owned about 6 BlackBerry Devices, 2 being the Storm 1 & 2, I am impressed what RIM has done with OS. and it's overall re-vamping. However; barring that, I am unimpressed the way they underpowered the device, overall opening another flood-way of lag, rebooting issues and Hopefully(dear god, I hope not) battery pulls. I am a RIM fan, and was super hyped for this device, and while it has some oo's and awe's and memorable functions ... it just irks me ,
I am a blackberry user and i love them, which i havent had a android phone yet, or iphone. but still it satsifys my needs. im looking into getting this phone would u recomend it? what teh things you like about it?
Wow, this phone has some cool complicated features! Sooo much to take in! I'm still not sure whether to get this or the Bold 9700 (but everyone has it now). But is the Torch pretty heavy? I've only got small slender hands! Ahaa.
@KittyGetAway Mainly because it could of been such a nice device, but the specs are impressive in the area of 2007, and now it just seems like a low-end device and nothing truly competitive. I am sure in a years time they'll advance on the specs and I really wanted to get this device, still do but the small Checkerboard when browsing(See Vid 3) and lag between transitions I know would in tim eget on my nerves and I can't go through 3 years of that again. So in conclusion.. I may sit this one out
@Windows7kicksass samung captivate duh! and captivate is running android not blackberrys boring os plus it has a 1ghz processor samsung captivate beats this phone in every way
"let's open this application, ok now let's press the end call button, let's open this application, ok now let's press the end call button, let's open this application, ok now let's press the end call button, let's open this application, ok now let's press the end call button, let's open this application, ok now let's press the end call button" DO YOU EVEN KNOW THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN CLOSING AND MINIMIZING AN APPLICATION? PRESS THE BACK BUTTON!!!!!!
looks cool, but complicated with all those damn applications. the more technology that goes into something the more complicated it becomes. i wonder how much radiation this phone emits.

Is the phone big and chunky when it is closed and when it is open, do u think the slide makes it an uncool phone??
@Windows7kicksass Like comparing Apples and Oranges. Those two devices have little in common.
@Windows7kicksass I've had the Captivate and would pick the 9800 over it.
does the 9800 happen to have a proximity sensor that turns the screen off when you put the phone to your face during a call?
Can you landscape keyboard when you are messenging and web-browsing?
Does the torch have an App Store? I would like to know if kik can is on the AppStore if there is one
