That only emphasizes the point. Even though he can justify his murders, he knows deep down it is wrong. Looking at Love was like looking at himself in the mirror and that is exactly why he loses interest and thinks she's crazy because she reminds him of himself.
Why is no one talking about his acting in both seasons? Absolutely incredible! The second season was a bit more far fetched but still so damn gripping!
@@PhoebeThutlweLungaPhoebuster I thought this too, you reminded me... because of that scene when he first started his job. You think "Why would someone throw themselves at Joe so heavily, is this real?"

He doesnt want someone cracked like himself, imo, he hinted that he liked Love because he believed that she was different and that Love would change him. Knowing how Love is now, why would he want to be with someone like himself? Its narcissism.
just me but they’re not even similar though. I think this comment is more directed towards the fact he managed to find someone who accepts and understands the darkest part of himself for they also share that same tainted past and even with that acceptance, he’s still not satisfied. because if you actually compare their personalities, I wouldn’t consider them to be similar. love is much bolder and hot headed whereas joe is very nonchalant and observational.
aiko I think they are in the way that they have both created wild justification for their actions and their method. I don’t think they are similar in their reasoning. I do think it would be boring like... Joe is maybe now let go of what she did but it’s like he was so surprised and then what he wants to keep going and she... is going to kill that person because attention is being put elsewhere... like it seems like a cycle and of course I don’t know what will happen but that’s just what I think.
aiko Joe is not non chalant, it’s an act that is revealed occasionally. They spent nearly 10 minutes explaining both of their backstories and their philosophies on life, and why the do what they do. They’re nearly the same character. We just so happen to hear the thoughts of only Joe. I don’t think we even see Joe’s personality most of the time, like I said, he is cracked with a personality disorder.
@@lleennyyy he is only with her because of the baby. My interpretation of this season and ending was that Joe's character actually grew and when he came to terms by admitting the wrong he did, he loved Love for who she was; but when he learned that Love is a killer too, he kind of resent that she is as ugly as him. His image and reality of her doesn't match so he is torn. Joe will never be satisfied with who ever he is with

1. Love and Joe will kill each other, leaving their daughter alone, then History repeats itself. 2. History repeats itself. Joe end up hurting Love, Their daughter end up killing Him. These are the two possibilities for season 3 finale.
Saul Goodman Or Love could get jealous of the the love Joe has for their daughter and end up killing their daughter? Might be a bit far fetched, I know. 😂

Penn is a brilliant actor. Joe is such a complex character because obviously he's a murderer, a thief, an abductor etc but at the same time he goes above and beyond to help some people, especially kids. I'm honestly perplexed.
Well that's the beauty of this show , it makes u question what is good and what is bad ! And sympathize with joe because he's doing all those terrifying stuff for a good cause , but he stiiiill is a killer and a psychopath , it's a fucking paradox 🤯🤯
its funny because they actually referenced the movie Love, Actually which Andrew Lincoln (Rick) starred in and he totally looked like him in the suit he wore at the wedding at the end of season 2 lol

That only emphasizes the point. Even though he can justify his murders, he knows deep down it is wrong. Looking at Love was like looking at himself in the mirror and that is exactly why he loses interest and thinks she's crazy because she reminds him of himself.
I KNOW!!!!
@@purrrgat0ry THIS.
Why is no one talking about his acting in both seasons? Absolutely incredible! The second season was a bit more far fetched but still so damn gripping!
mirrbot exactly. You forgive the unrealistic aspects because the show is so damn addicting and a blast to watch. And he is a brilliant actor!
I love how when he gets caught he has his "crazy eyes"... His voice changes dramatically. The switch-up is good and believable.
Is anyone else shook too because they thought Candace was a ghost preseason? We saw so much of her this season, and she was alive!
i was sad when she got yeeted off with the glass object😔
@@tiredcat6653 Yo, F to pay respects....
I thought love was fiction of his imagination and he goes crazy
@@PhoebeThutlweLungaPhoebuster I thought this too, you reminded me... because of that scene when he first started his job. You think "Why would someone throw themselves at Joe so heavily, is this real?"
Did she not know that coming back would mean her death!? Very odd. Who willingly tries to rattle a known serial killler
What’s crazy is she’s the female version of Joe so you’d think he’d be satisfied but he’s not 🤯🤯
k a y l a Why would you be satisfied being a person that is like you I feel like thats soooo boring even when they are insane and obviously for him it’s different reasoning for not being satisfied.
Technically Joe is in prison. Him being stuck with Love is a prison
Why is he stuck when he loves her?
@@lleennyyy he is only with her because of the baby. My interpretation of this season and ending was that Joe's character actually grew and when he came to terms by admitting the wrong he did, he loved Love for who she was; but when he learned that Love is a killer too, he kind of resent that she is as ugly as him. His image and reality of her doesn't match so he is torn. Joe will never be satisfied with who ever he is with
@@lleennyyy he can't love her he's got an obsession and it can't be filled by his girlfriend
@@lleennyyy He doesn't love her!
Darrin Ramroop He doesn’t love her, his feelings for her changed when he finds out she killed Delilah. He hates her for it even though he thinks he’s a hypocrite because she’s a killer like him. He only stayed because of the baby.
Just finshed the season in 12 hours
10 here
It was the best show of the year
@@noahaharris that great?
Those are rookie numbers. Get your numbers up chief!
I watched it all in a row 😂😂😂
He chooses his characters carefully. His character in gossip girl had a plot twist. And joe is the villain you somewhat sympathize for. He plays them very well
yeah, pretty sure he didn't know about Dan being GG as it was several seasons away and even the writers haven't decided at the time, but the parallels between the characters are uncanny
He is a great actor, he deserves big awards.
Joe is the perfect example of the quote “You always want what you can’t have “
Am I the only one that thinks that Love’s child isn’t actually Joes?
YES I WAS THINKING THAT i thought she may be saying its his to keep a grasp on him!!
Yes omg yeaah that could be true
I’m almost betting on the fact that it’s milos
SINCERE ESTRADA same. Watch it come out blonde
Omg my thought exactly!!! Love is very manipulative, so I think she will do anything just to stay with Joe.
3:09 Penn: I’m not the person who can say anything official
Me: OH WE GETTIN A THIRD SEASON
Screen Addict the author is writing book 3 now so I’m pretty sure there will be at least 1 more
purdybby none thank god
Everyone’s talking about how he’s a snack but that charisma oml, like I wish I had is brain when it comes to breaking down his answers
Maybe Ellie finds out Love killed delilah and then seeks revenge by doing something to loves baby as revenge and the baby turns out to be milos joe kills love
I don't think season 3 will be the last honestly they may stop like at 4 or 5
No. You think they’re gonna time skip SO FAR that the DAUGHTER is old enough to kill in the third season? Just no
@@robyn964 Yes, We'll never predict 100% what these psychos are thinking
am i the only one that thinks joe wasn’t really in love with “love “ the way he was with beck? he didn’t have the same vibe wit her, and he got completely turned off right after she killed that girl. She was to crazy for him i guess
I agreee
Because Beck and candace weren't desperate like Love. Joe wants what he can't have, Love was just throwing herself at him🗿
I felt that as well.
At one point he said he never felt that way about anyone the way he feels for Love and felt like with everyone else it was more of an infatuation.
queen way I actually felt like he loved her more.... until he found out she’s a killer.
Just finished Season 2 and wow what a plot twist!! Can’t wait to see season 3!!!🤗
Why am I still rooting for Joe after everything he’s done, I still sympathize with him lol
Molly Loucks it’s only because he’s good looking if he was fat and ugly no one would sympathise they’d all want him in jail
Molly Loucks I used to in the last season but now I just love Love
Molly Loucks me toooo🤦🏽♀️
I was cool with him, I was kinda "proud" he tried to improve and I think he DID, but the last episode, especially the last scene, made me really upset.
@@99xara99 yeah me too. The last scene particularly, knowing that he's about to become a father.
I love how intelligent and eloquent he is! What a charmer.
I literally watched this whole series in 3 days lol I can’t believe that now he has what he wanted with Love and their daughter...but then has to creep on the neighbor 😂😂😂like he wants what he can’t have, a fantasy girl, not his exact conterpart...
@@thanosinfinity4904 Yes exactly! Well said Thanos, well said. I find myself rooting for him even though he does awful things🤔
@@cultshepard4215 yeah , same for me xd . It's soo bad , but soo good 😂 **confusion intensifies**
I deadass watched the entire season in one day.
I did that with season 1....completely worth it😂👌🏾
@@ezeuzuka3344 same
Penn is so stunning
B daily I totally agree 😍 I’m not gonna lie seeing Penn choked when he first started dating Love and the surprise bondage scene made me 👀 😂
👆🏻🙌🏼🙌🏼
plot twist: the woman at the end is his mother, but he doesn’t know that yet.
cheesy mozzarella 😱🤯
that’s what i was thinking!!
She doesnt read books
cheesy mozzarella mind blown 🤯🤯🤯
Penn confirmed that theory is not happening.
he is so educated and socially aware like the perfect actor for this role they really needed someone like him to be Joe
Period!
BRUH that HAS TO BE HIS MOTHER AT THE END
CheckOutBTSgroup you just broke my brain!
CheckOutBTSgroup i thought the same for a sec, but no way!!
That’s what I’m hoping
BUT he sounded aroused!?
A Turns because he doesn’t know yet duh
Season 2 is even better than season 1. Can’t wait for season 3. Amazing show!
They couldn’t have selected a better actor for this role specifically.
He kinda looks like a young Rick from the walking dead.
yay someone who agrees
Probably why I like him. Lol two of my favorite show,You & TWD 🤘🏻
its funny because they actually referenced the movie Love, Actually which Andrew Lincoln (Rick) starred in and he totally looked like him in the suit he wore at the wedding at the end of season 2 lol
exactly i stopped at 2:22
I keep seeing this meme and it says “I will never watch you because all I see is Dan Humphrey” literally as soon as you watch this show you forget all his other projects. There will be no similarities of any kind. It’s so chilling. He’s an amazing actor
Penn Badgley is SO HOT IT HURTS....he was in that movie with Amber...AKA awful chick that accused Johnny Depp
He ended up the bad guy in Gossip Girl... So it's on par
Really hoping that woman he saw in the last seconds was his mother
U mean the neighbor??? U want him to fall for /creep on his mother? Ewww lol
Wendyl0v3 no i mean he will find out it’s her mother then the plot goes from there 🤦🏻♀️
@@wendyl0v3 wow, you te really dumb
@@samr2145 Probably not, the actress playing the mystery neighbor is Tiffany Lonsdale, not the mother's actress

The main character's name is JOE, but he's under the fake identity of WILL, his love interest is LOVE, and the show is called YOU. Now read those words together
Teagan Hopson weir did they do that intentionally 😭😭
Teagan Hopson this is a reach
shes also name Love Quinn.. sound familiar to another psychopathic Quinn?.. whos found her equal in another equal?..
It says JOE WILL LOVE YOU.

That dismemberment scene is tattooed in my mind, I am scarred for life.

I've seen some gore. That scene had me squirming.
If you guys want more of that kind of scene, y'all should watch Hannibal.
The dismemberment is ok but the moment when he grab the arm and shredded it like fucking meat , it was honestly disturbing , and they kept switching back and forth with love cooking food , and joe shredding human pieces . The director of this show must lowkey be a psychopath to imagine these kinda things
I’m legitimately scared of Penn Badgley. That’s how great of an actor he is. Lol
I think my favorite thing is all the narration of his thoughts.
OMG OMG I just started watching last night and I was SHOOOOOK
Netflix got a Scorpio to play a Scorpio.
Jimmy Mora Hahahaha I noticed that since season 1 😂
LOL😂
Joe?
You mean Lifetime did.. originally.
Damn that’s fucking true
OMG SEASON 2 WAS AMAZING! TRULY AMAZING 🤩. I finished it last night and I might even watch it again today lol. SO READY FOR SEASON 3 🥰
If I were to be Penn’s friend then I would’ve been so scared of him irl after seeing You. That’s how good his acting in this is
When an actor makes you really “feel” emotions while watching their film, they’re a phenomenal actor.. The first season I hated Joe as a character, now I just cannot get enough... 😍😍
Penn Badgley is soooo FKN fine. Not Joe he's a murderer. But whoo chileeee 😍😍😍😍
💯
You ain’t lying lol. He’s so cute!
If only he shaved the beard 😫 he kinda looks homeless 💀
he is so well spoken his voice is soo soothing
Binged seadon 2 in a day & CANNOT wait for season 3 4 5 6 & 7 lol!!
How many people can he kill and girls can he stalk? Prob will be finished after season 3 or 4
“Meditation and prayer profound” - penns advice to dealing with the darkness! Love that
He's a totally different person when he acts and it's amazing

Demeter's Daughter you definitely should! He’s a great actor!
Before I pressed play I assumed he would be British too!
There’s something about him in this role.. never realized he was such a talented actor.. obsessed with this show ❤️

I'm so sad about her death too. I cried when she died
I still get upset about her and Peach. Whether you liked Beck or not, she was just trying to figure out her life, and this ass killed her best friend, threw her in a cage, and murdered her. I don’t know how anyone can keep watching without Beck, and Peach, and Candace in the back of their mind. I laughed when Jasper cut his finger off because I’m bitter about all these people he’s hurt.
