I actually liked that it wasn’t a “traditional” ending. Example: him getting caught and going to prison or even being murdered himself. When he found out Love was just as crazy and he was basically disgusted by her lmao that really goes to show how damaged and unaware he is of himself which just intensifies his sociopath behavior. He and the whole crew deserve to be recognized more

It's such a good show. It's a Rollercoaster of emotions. There's scenes that you really feel for him, he's able to manipulate the audience to feel for him. He also cares about Ellie, and it seems sweet. Then remember, he's a crazy serial killer lunatic.

Penn's creativity is off the charts! I can't imagine anyone else playing Joe's role. I am extremely disappointed that Penn hasn't received the recognition that he deserves. Playing the role of Joe the way that he does... with narrating the entire show with so much emotion and playing the role with basically not speaking... but doing voiceovers is unbelievable. He has so much talent. I am hoping that this is the year that he will be recognized for his brilliance in this series....

the reason why people are attracted to his character is the fact that penn managed to twist and turn this character and to portray it in an extraordinary way. The thing with people like Joe is that charm is one of their dominant traits. That’s how Joe operates, he manipulates everyone around him by using his charm. Penn Badgley managed to emulate that THROUGH the screens, which is one of the reason why this series is so great.
Penn definitely deserves an award for this role

😂 I over binged this series fr. I watched the whole series for two days straight. Starting watching season 2 @8:35pm finished halfway through episode 8 @4 am 🥺😩🤧. It was so good 😊 but I had work in the afternoon the best day. Smh 🤦♀️. Got home and resume the till the end. Gosh it was just amazing and intense after episode 4 of season 2.

I know he’s a sociopath and all who met another crazy person. But I loved his relationship with Love. The way she looked at him and loved him. That’s how you know they are both good actors. I didn’t feel that with him and Beck. That plot twist at the end. I did not see that coming. But I kind of had the feeling that she would look past his craziness.

I think the charisma of Joe (and how hot Penn is) is why he gets away with what he does for so long. Very Ted Bundy-like in that aspect.
I think the fact that fans are fawning over Joe proves the message of the show. Nobody is immune to these sociopaths, even those who know the truth. Darkness can be appealing, everyone wants to believe that they can “change someone”. That’s why serial killers in real life get groupies.
