I always felt like the love joe has been searching for is the love from his mom. Filling his desire and need for love with obsession and not realizing the love he really needs is from family and not a girl.
I feel like the love he never had he searched for in books, and because of that when he was searching for the real love, he wanted everything to play out like in the books. He wanted the whole story to play out to a T so he set it up and did his research and did everything he could.
i feel like he gets his love from children. not in like a pedo way but a caring way. like he looked after paco when his mum was in the abusive relationship. he looked after ellie bc her parents wearnt around and dellilah was round much. im guessing with his child(if it even is his) he will look afer it too. AND he looked after both ellie and paco by providing them with books.
It seems like joe is looking for the idea of love, pseudo type of love. He doesn’t just kill random people, he kills those who hurts the women he loves in anyway. He killed his moms boyfriend because he was good for her, he was a bad influence on her. He thinks by getting rid of all these people who get in his way he can have the perfect life and love unconditionally. He lived his life through books, treats them with such delicacy. Storing the rare ones in great condition out of harms way.

The character I’m most concerned about after Season 2 is Joe and Love’s unborn child. It’s the only innocent one in a family of liars and murderers. No child deserves having parents like Joe and Love.
I wouldn't mind them as parents....

I’m pretty sure they are searching for him because let’s remember nobody knows about all the murders he caused.. and you can get dna from pee that’s why he was scared to be tested at the police station because he would turn up in the police report and then his dna test would link it to the jar of piss that was found

We still have a missing gap of what Joe’s adolescent to adulthood was like. We know that his first killing was his father when he was a child, and then we know about his victims Candace, then Beck, and now currently it’s Love. And I guarantee there are more victims before Candace. I would like that answered in season 3.

Candace was brought back for absolutely nothing. Her character was the most disappointing point of season 2 for me. She could've done sooo much more. The writers didn't do her right... Love and Joe living "happily ever after" was the other thing I was really disappointed about. I wish both got caught so bad!! Also, Delilah. Poor woman. She deserved so, so much more.
I was rooting for Candace's pretty bad, but she ended up being very useless. As you said she could have done way wayy more with the knowledge she had. She's was such an easy target for anyone and too naive for her own good.
I loved Candaces character. I would of loved to have see her work with Peach’s P.I. I agree I think that was rushed.

The neighbor is not Joe’s mother, Penn Badgley himself has debunked that theory.
Honorable mention for this list: How in the world did he get that cage transported from NYC to LA? He explained how he rebuilt it but not how he had time to disassemble it and ship it across the country. I know it’s a silly detail but it took me right out of the story since the first episode of the season.
It’s Jess I think he rebuilt it from new materials, not from shipping the old one in pieces to California. Since the cage was already in the library from the previous owner, he probably just left it alone after sterilizing it.

First they should answer some of the questions from Season 1:
1. What happened with the Jar of Pee?
2. What happened with the Cop that was investigating Joe and pulled him over and called the shop?
3. How did Mr. Mooney get sick and was it really what Joe said?
4. How did Joe set up the fake photos of Candice in Paris?
5. Will Paco come back once he realizes Beck is dead and he let it happen?
6. Beck's book not mentioning Joe at all and her friends will read it.
7. Karen Minty!?!? She was suspicious of Joe and warned Beck about him.
Most Likely we'll get a lost ending and half the questions that pile up at the end will not be answered.
1 & 2 was answered. No pee in DNA he literally says it & 2 the guy called the bookstore he played as the car owner or whatever & says he lets his son use it I believe

That is the reason he doesn't want to be put into the system. I'll agree with you on one seemingly being wrapped up as the last time we see him is the phone call but he seemed like a cop that would've continued the investigation as he didn't seem to trust joe. Also if he did investigate he would see Moony couldn't have answered because of the stroke. But a more important person that does have to be brought back and answered for is the investigator who didn't believe the story at all.

@@dmndnel paco was okay with Joe killing his mom's boyfriend as he was an abusive person but Beck was someone who was nothing but nice to him and so I would think that would be a bit more different . The boyfriend is mentioned but not enough for anyone else to be able to figure out other than a high forty. It's just Joe is mentioned barely and that's suspicious enough especially as her friends knew how much she cared for Joe and believed they were meant to be. As well as Karen and her suspicions about Joe to beck.

Joe loves no one but his obsession. He feels the need to be obsessed with someone that's what makes him happy or alive. And obviously, he cant love someone who is just like him. The moment he learned about Love's truth, his obsession/love vanished. He tries to convince himself that he loves Love n prepares to become a good father but finally, his obsession (for new person) would resurface in season 3. Only this time things would be more difficult for him because of Love.

Candace doesn't have any family. Her brother was her last connection, and he died before the events of season 1

They should have stuck with the book and killed her off, it made everything confusing and out of place when they put her in the second season.
She wasn't in Italy. That was the alibi Joe made up for her being gone. There was no answer given to where Candice really was and likely we won't ever know now.

No, don't recall that. Joe thought she was dead for years until she showed up to confront him at the bookstore. He just told everyone she moved to Italy to cover up the crime.

I love how someone like joe is in love with someone they think is a good perfect person and then they later learn that they are just like them as well. I wanna know more about what joe was thinking when he found out who she really were. I wanna know everything that went through his mind cause if it was me it would make me love her even more.
Unpopular opinion: the actress who played Ellie is a beautiful, talented attress. I just didn't think her character contributed much to the show and it would have been fine with or without her.
Nitara Jones She was more of a plot device in the beginning, and the character unfortunately never grew into more. I hope we get to see more of Jenny Ortega in season 3.

Although it might be more dramatic to have a sane rational person as Joe’s mom. To have her discover what her son is - and come to terms with it. And joe face moral judgement that he clearly is lacking with Candace gone.

Poor Ellie. She lost everything, and while it wasn't entirely Joe's fault (Love definitely shares the responsibility there), he did bring the Quinns into her life. I hope that she gets justice. What with her, Fincher, the real Will Bettelheim, Paco, Dr. Nicky, and I'm sure there are others, Joe and Love are making mistakes that are gonna come back to bite them. And it'll be so satisfying to watch.
