I'm late to this party but yeah imo she fucked up big time. The minute she found out about Becks death, Candace should've tried to look for evidence implicating Joe. She was able to track and follow him to LA so there's no reason she wouldn't have been able to do that. Joe also isn't always great with cleaning up after his crimes.

Candace should’ve just went to the police about Joe. I get she wanted him to realize he’s a murderous piece of trash, but that risked not only her own life, but Love and her family.
Jessica Williams she tried going to the police after she was buried alive but she had no evidence and the police officer basically told her to give up on the case since Joe thought she was dead and so he wouldn’t bother her anymore however when she found Delilah in the cage she definitely should’ve just went to the police instead of texting Love to prove a point
