I was talking about this car with a colleague Today. I haven't seen one in the Sydney streets yet, my colleague has neither. Going back home, stopped at traffic light at the front of the Ford Suttons dealer on the Parramatta road, I saw 2 Mach E on display, one grey and the other one white. The white one looks really good in person. I don't think Ford is selling many of these cars and the main reason is the Price is too high, the entry-level is over 80K drive away!. Ford should do as it has done in NZ and bring the cheapest version of the Mach E ( 440 KM of range ) with a traditional roof. In NZ that car cost 79K NZD, Ford could be pitching that version to the base Tesla Model Y for 70K AUD drive away.
Thanks for the info. I think I prefer a Mustang to be a muscle car though. Perhaps a Ford EV ute is something I could go for? However a 134L froot is pretty good. I like the idea of turning it into an esky. I hadn't heard of that before. Thanks to whoever came up with that.
Not bad in your range test considering WLTP isn't real world like NEDC or CLTC only EPA testing is anywhere close to real world. I'm sure people will buy it as not everyone wants a Tesla or even likes Tesla. Well it is a Mustang just need to modify your thinking times change.
I think the Aussie honeymoon with EVs is starting to wane. You turn up to a remote charger and find the cable has been cut and removed for copper cash.
To me, it's apparent why Ford calls this a "Mustang". Ford is starting to sub-brand - much the way Dodge did with "Ram". The "Bronco" sub-brand is for off-roading and consists of 3 vehicles. The "Mustang" sub-brand is about performance. Then you have the Escape, Explorer, and Expedition. I'm wondering if Ford will soon unify those vehicles. They already start with the same letter. Notice that there is no Ford logo on the Mustang Mach-E other than a small one inside the windshield.
Good to hear that it’s a decent drive. It’s in Ford’s DNA. So is some of the iffy build quality exposed by your cameras - uneven seals and alignment of window trim etc. A bit more comparison with the Polestar and Model Y in particular would have been interesting - we know ‘they exist’ … The Polestar is claustrophobic inside though so not really a true competitor. But no, it’s not a Mustang. That was just a crazy marketing construct and it’s frankly embarrassing that Ford went with it.
Wow a made in China Mustang, Do we make anything in the good old U.S.A. anymore. My Tv is made in Vietnam, My pants and shirts are made in China, My new Honda mower made in China, Harley Davidson making bike in China, my cell phone made in China and Covid is made in China. What are we making in the U.S.A. even the tooth picks I bought are made in China 😮
It doesn’t look like a Mustang “muscle” car, rather bland and nondescript. A Mustang GT looks fast from the front while standing still. The Mach-E looks like a Tesla wannabe.
You mean the brand that started out selling cheap four cylinder sports cars? I would think entering a growing market space is bang on with what Mustang have always done. Regardless brands develop all the time, let’s not forget that a major reason this has a Mustang badge is so they can offset their V8s and continue to sell them in markets that have laws around vehicle emissions.
@@NatalieO171it exists as Fords research has determined that the best chance of selling a new vehicle it has to be electric and an SUV style. Purely about sales.
@@OakmanNZ I’m very much aware that’s why it exists - I’m saying that part of the reason it has a Mustang badge and not a Ford badge is to offset emissions from V8 Mustangs in global markets that have caps and penalises companies not meeting targets.
Good review. Although showing how much room you have in the back seat means absolutely nothing unless you start by saying how tall you are.
bbbbuuuttt ''Ive got long legs"

Those drain holes in the frunk, does that mean little creepy crawlies can find their way in?

Can you fit a medium size rock bike inside without taking the wheel off?
I'll be very interested to see if they actually sell any of these
Hey your hairdresser called and said "He was only halfway through when you left"

Amazing car
You think Ford would have told him it is pronounced Mark not Mack. I am going down to MarkDonald’s😂
Ummm...it is pronounced like mock, right?
@@MikeSpille Mach, like Mach 1 is the speed of sound. There is no other pronunciation. Its just Mach, as it's spelt.
@@billeves4627 Yes I know what the word means and in the US we pronounce it like “mock”
@@MikeSpille I have heard plenty of Americans pronounce it MARK, never heard MOCK, as in rhymes with clock or knock.
@@billeves4627 just go to any dictionary and learn

Your pricing is all wrong
Pisstake at its price D.A across all variants.
Shoulda been the Taurus, looks more bull like
I had trouble watching this one. It’s not called the Mac E it’s the Mach E
You have a Big Mac or the speed of sound at Mach 1
Sorry, but Mustang came out in 1964 !!!!!! I have one and a 66 fastback!!
"MACH" not MACK. Yikes.

Oh I forgot the Buick Invision is made in China.
The all electric Wokestang

The Mach E GT front fascia is much better than the base imo
(But honestly I like both)
All these bloody EVs 🤮🤮
An absolute joke to the history of the Mustang brand
You're just a hater lol.

If one is buying them in the USA what makes you think there going to sell in Australia. EV’s are a scam
