I picked up my MY LR is July and have done 12 000 km, a lot of it winter highway work. I have averaged 17.8 kWh/100 km, so 19 does not actually sound too bad. I drove a Mache E and found the ride better than the Tesla, the interior nicer and it was quieter too. However, the lack of a heat pump on a car at this price (and yes, the EV6 too, shame on Kia) means that cold weather running is costly with that 6 kW PTC heater sucking up a lot of battery. I hope the 2025 model addresses that and gets a 10k price cut too. Then you actually would have a good strong package. The thing is it is not really the Model Y that this car has to beat, it's things like the XPeng G6. The stark interior of the Model Y will always render it as a niche player as most people won't consider it...those who want the best EV experience yes, but not the people who buy the RAV4s and CX5s of the world.
Great content. Appreciate the detail. Curious if you will be getting a hold of the Australian release of the Xpeng G6 and reviewing between both LFP and NMC models and the pros and cons of each. Thanks so much and keep up the great content
Ford seem to be selling about 60 Mustang Mach E's every month. I suspect that the only reason they sell that many is the FBT discount for novated leasing.
Model Y also has a figety ride but you save $30,000 and get the advantage of the Tesla software and Supercharger network. I just genuinely don't know who is going to drop so much money on a Mach-E? It's not for the budget conscious. It's not the ultra luxury, or the ultra sporty buyer either. It's not the "boring but practical" type either. What specific demographic are they pitching to?!?
Mach E also has access to supercharger network. So just "superior technology" I personally like android auto more. The mache prices also match model Y prices. He quoted the leasing prices not the cash price, which is very significant difference. A quick google can show the msrps are relatively the same.
@@FinalFenixx I came here to say the same. At least here in the US the starting price for a '24 Mach E is $41,990 USD and $44,640 USD for the Model Y. The tax credits favor Tesla more. Tesla has a huge advantage with the FSD system though, and I think that's more valuable than the car. I'd imagine the value of the collected information and the mark-up would be a much, much a bigger profit margin.
You sure you're not anti-EV or just unwilling to give it a real test beyond just commuting. Yes there are challenges, currently, but much of what you said could be questioned in regards to the miss'es. You only had it for 3 months is that correct, not very long term really, overseas I've seen UK press have theirs for 6 months which is far more realistic and take them on long trips. I rent but have a 15A outlet on a 16A circuit and haven't used anything else only recently with my new EV did I upgrade to a 15A charger my former EV just used the included 10A charger which did me fine. This is the future of transportation, Norway is well ahead of the rest with a number of other countries also very much up there with EV sales and use. We can't keep burning stuff there is only a limited amount and it's needed for FAR more than burning once in an inefficient engine.

1. Most people dont need more range 2. I would love to know how often you forget to charge your phone overnight 3. Charge the EV at your campground and at rest stops on roadtrips. It's all pretty easy
@@RodneyW I've been driving my short-range EV ( Tesla model 3 rwd) and driving 3 hours at 110kmh is enough time to stop for a rest/ charge. Once you get an EV you realise that you plug it in when you get back from driving it. It's pretty easy.
😂😂😢😮😅😅😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊 too fucking expensive if I was gonna pay that much money I will get a Porsche like that Ford gotta come down with the prices if they do I’ll get one cause I could go from here to my stepsister’s house without full charge
Your presentation skills have levelled up, mate. Nice work. Great video 👍

An EV I'd love to buy (especially that update in green + bronze), but I ain't paying near $90k for the Premium spec
i don't understand why this is even called an 'SUV' . Good review btw
It’s borderline for sure. Cheers!
Wonder what one of these in 6 yrs time with 80-100,000km would be worth?
Twelve dollars and nine cents, at most 😮
Bout tree fiddy..
I need an electric because I so 180 km round trip for work. 94% highway driving. That is about 7200 for fuel.

This is a very good question.
Could you explain how to save $30,000?

If you want heavy depreciation buy one 💯💥🎯👍🏼
Time will tell
It’s a car, they all depreciate. Only reason they’re depreciating faster is because EVs are getting better so quickly

EVs depreciate much, much more than ICe. Lots of dealers don't want used or pre-owned EV😂😂😂
Has every youtuber been given one by Ford?
Yep!
I reckon Ford is seeing very low sales numbers and have to try and drum up interest somehow. They sure won't sell themselves.
Most definitely I would say, they can't sell them at those ridiculous prices
how about how it drives dude
Trendy but depreciation of a rock. Not much point then.

Be nice.
Ford must have resorted to giving these away….Paul Maric has also been given one and has been singing its praises 😂😂😂 buy a model Y
Stop reviewing electric cars. Absolutely no one cares, no one is buying them. Just stop
8 to 9 percent of all new cars, it’s a decent chunk of sales
No one is buying them? LOL. What rock do you live under? MAGA rock?
