Nice Skatecaster! The Charvel Desolation series, while a having a tad more eye candy "bling" than I would like on some models personally? Are absolutely insane playing and incredible value guitars. I got a matte black DC1 on a MF Stupid Deal of the Day for under $200 years back. Ended up giving it to my lil' cousin, who later had his friend's dad (the freakin' founder of Zion Guitars!!!) modify it. They took the actives, along with all the stock pots & jack out for Switchcraft parts and a "hard mounted" a set of Seymour Duncan SH-4/Sh-2n right into the damn wood EVH style! Needless to say it's still his #1 to this day. Absolute screamer. The compound radius really makes a big difference!
I really do dig your videos and sincerely appreciate your honesty.thank you kindly for being a metalhead and a guitarist who has brains and uses them...
Thanks for the Demo. Good job! I have seen this pedal on Amazon and was always curious on how it sounds. Really Decent, you can dial a lot of tones out of it.
This is the first metal pedal I bought in the last 2 years very badass.niw I'm also gonna buy the king version as well.cause once they are sold out they are done an no more.im collecting the whole series as I can.hopefully before it all ends up sold out.
I've had one of the very first batches of this pedal for about 12 years now, but mine's called the Eagletone Metal End (same pedal) which I bought new for about $32 bucks back then. It's now completely beat to shit (but still works with a battery only) and it's still one of my all time favorite high gain pedals, even more so than the Boss MT-2 or Hardwire TL-2). The only pedal I prefer over it is my old insanely high gain handmade (in a limited small quantity) Canadian Landmine Distortion Pedal, which is actually two cascading gain stages into a single circuit and is just a little more brutal when dialed in right. One of the best things about this Metal End pedal is the switch for the built-in amp sim, which makes it sound massively badass when I run it into the effects return of any of my tube amps (especially wirh an eq or sonic stomp pedal between it and the effects return), just like you would do with a preamp. If you want to make your eyes and ears to bleed; that's the way to go. I've even run it through a Mooer Radar IR Cab Sim into two 400w powered speakers and man oh man, I actually get seriously monstrous modern high gain tones out if it that can easily rival the sounds of high gain amps that will cost a hell of a lot more money (like Engl, Soldano, Bogner, Mesa, EVH, Peavey, etc). I own all of those amps (except for a Bogner) and I can get sounds from that pedal through the effects loop that will piss anyone off who dropped 2+ grand on a setup.
ive had alot of nice tube amps and i sill use pedals too having a mesa is about being a gear snob and the name and why you drive a corvette its about the name its not better it just cost more lol
Have the empress Heavy and love it, had timestamp end pedal first and will not be getting rid of any time soon even have the biyang overdrive with two chips to go with it, I love the tones off of the metal end king pedal
@@RobertWJackson yeah have to agree with you on the price had to do some over time to get it, but the biyang stuff rocks 🤘🏻🤘🏻🤘🏻🤘🏻🤘🏻🤘🏻 cool vid thank you
Hi Robert" ,yes nice pedal and a lot of possibility :) I have the same a rebadged EU version "Hell Dude" EagleTone In the meantime I have ordered and have been waiting for the UZI since the other day that we talked on the joyo and the nuX Fireman. Still curious to see your Fireman vs Uzi video soon ;) like friedman amp sound
@@RobertWJackson agreed, I never bother with the scooped, but the flat setting is really good. my 1 major gripe? the crappy "release to activate" switches TC use on the "tank" pedals. The Biyang sounds good, I have toyed with getting one, might have to at some point
I own one and its good for metal 80's 90's stuff and all the way modern slipknot style stuff, the mid freqnknot is best thin combined with 3-way switches, i use amp sim on alltime like how it makes this monster sounds
If it’s a tube head with a tube driven effects loop, then yes, though they all really accomplish the same thing. They’re purpose is to introduce effects into the signal AFTER the preamp section rather than before it.
I love that it looks like an old school EHX pedal.

Thanks Robert . Always interested in new gear and have picked up a few kool pieces after viewing your channel . Keep up the good work
Awesome! Glad I’ve been able to help in some small way. 🙂
Good sounding pedal with alot of options. Your tracks keep getting better and better
Thanks man!
Got one of these off eBay for a pittance a while back. Bought it out of curiosity and glad I did.

It’s a cool pedal. I have both versions of it and they’re both great.
Seems about as versatile of a distortion as they come. Impressive.
Thanks man!
@@RobertWJackson you make everything sound great
@Dennis Llewellyn Thanks man! Not true, but I do appreciate the kind words!
I like your wit and your style of demo-ing and you play very well
Thank you very much!
awesome demo thanks, do you recommend replacing the 3dpt footswitch? i got this in 2022.
I don’t know why you would. The one that’s in it from the factory works just fine. I’ve had mine for years and have never had any problems with it.
@@RobertWJackson thanks a ton

I'll suggest the danelectro fab tone for some judas priest jugulator tones on a budget....
I just got a fabtone for $15. excellent pedal I must say.its a beast that looks unbeasty.
Fangs is really good
I have that one, too. It’s totally worthless in the Scooped mode, but the other two modes are pretty good.
@@RobertWJackson agreed, I never bother with the scooped, but the flat setting is really good. my 1 major gripe? the crappy "release to activate" switches TC use on the "tank" pedals.

I love your opening questions. Like why did kamikaze pilots wear helmets or why do we park on driveways and drive on parkways.

I always wondered...are fx loops in a solid state head different from the ones in tube heads?
If it’s a tube head with a tube driven effects loop, then yes, though they all really accomplish the same thing. They’re purpose is to introduce effects into the signal AFTER the preamp section rather than before it.
Its g9t so many atomic bells and nuclear whistles it better be.
Yea man itll work good besides all tracks are cut and pressed anyway
Do you recommend for this pedal?
Yep, it’s a great distortion pedal for heavy metal. I enjoy it quite a bit.
@@RobertWJackson ok thanks
I think the lead is a little soft. Good low end.
I paid $55 for mine brand new from china.
It does sound aqwsome
Twisty knobby mode \o/

If this is the best high gain pedal in relation value for money ... It sounds like tube
