Hello. Just wanted to say that this video is great! Also I had a question if you don't mind answering. How did you get the marriage lines in the game? I've been playing the remaster lately and I don't remember them but the first one you have over the bottle scene does actually sound like garrus, so I'm assuming they're from the game somewhere.
Thank you for your kind words! I used lines from different parts of the game to create that dialogue. The "You're not going to propose marriage now, are you?" is said by an unromanced Garrus to a Shepard of either gender during the bottle shooting competition. Garrus says some interesting things during that get-together that shed some light on his state of mind. If Shepard breaks up with him he takes it well, saying "We were always something of an odd pair, weren't we?" Shepard can respond "There was never anything odd about us," to which he replies "Not 'til we had kids, anyway" which is funny, but also saddening. He also brings up having Human-Turian hybrid babies or adopting infant Krogan in London, so I think Garrus really is considering a future and a family with Shepard if they happen to make it through the war. I kind of consider Grunt to be their first kid, although Garrus' line about skipping Grunt's rite of passage and "just buying him a few (lap) dances on Omega" is not the height of good parenting. When they meet Grunt in ME3 and see he's in charge of Aralakh company, Garrus says: "Little guy's all grown up. Glad he's here," which is pretty heartwarming.
@@211Shinobu Oh man I've never heard him say that in the unromanced lines? Is it at the end or some part in the middle? If you don't remember that's fine. I'll play it a couple more times to find out. Also I've never heard his break up lines before but that's good to know! I'm actually just starting to make my own MVs for the games so lines like that might be useful. Also Grunt is definitely their first kid. Even if he does still have stuff to learn haha XD I love that Grunt is always Shepard's kid no matter who you end up romancing though. It's such a nice dynamic to see the great commander shepard fulfill haha Also that line on Aralakh from Garrus literally melted my heart the first time I heard it!
It happens before the bottle shooting contest if Shepard picks the paragon line "You're a good friend, Garrus." FluffyNinjaLama and DanaDuchy have posted videos of all of the variations if you want to plan what to choose before you go to harvest video clips. I've found trying all of the dialogue options helpful not only for voice clips but also to collect alternate animations and camera angles. For example, in ME2, one of the options before the Omega 4 relay doesn't result in Shepard's thumb clipping through Garrus' face, while the other does. (Can't remember which, sorry.) Glad to see someone new making videos for Mass Effect, especially Garrus. Looking forward to seeing what you create!
A year late, but I realized I didn't answer your question fully. "Uh, are we getting married?" is said by Shepard when EDI offers her a victory ring during their meetup in Anderson's apartment in the Citadel DLC. "Why the Hell not, there's no one I respect more than you.." is said by Garrus in ME2 when Shepard first proposes blowing off steam together.
