She might have run away, but as she was on a military airbase its also possible she was ordered to leave the base and go back. So it might well be top end military people covering it up. I've herd many cases where as soon as a member of staff is involved in any kind of problem there sent back to America. Its not fair and its not wright, but it seems to be the way they deal with problems.

@CargoRay initially northants police were going to charge her with a manslaughter charge, Tim and Charlotte asked for the charge to be reduced so that she would not have to go to prison, it is a blatant misuse of diplomatic immunity I have lived in the USA before my daughter has duel citizenship and have a sister and many friends that live there but I am disgusted that president trump has not waived her immunity so she can answer to her crime, she would not have gone to prison as per the wishes of Harry's parents. There's was no chance for the parents to say goodbye to their precious son. It's a nightmare that doesn't go away when they wake up. I suspect that she was driving on the wrong side of the road due to the fact that she normally drives on the righthand side of the road but was unaware of her mistake until she was unable to avoid collision as she came over the brow of the hill. If she left on a commercial flight then it's surprising the media haven't disclosed exact details - eg seat number, etc - as they did with the Litvinenko case. The USAF may even transport people and goods via their own channels as a matter of routine.Initially, wasn't there a question mark over her immunity - police asking whether she had plans to leave UK.Maybe they had her flagged on airport security.

Given a few weeks, I suspect she will turn herself into the UK authorities and face justice. There is now too much publicity for her to escape or be allowed to escape.

I have some, but limited, sympathy for Anne Sacoolas. She surely didn’t mean for this accident to happen and must be devastated. But ultimately it is her careless driving that caused this tragedy; a family has been torn apart and she must take responsibility and face justice.

It was an accident. The woman involved stopped and called the police. The family wouldn't meet with her in the US. It seems the only thing that the family wants is to see her behind bars. What "answers" would that give them. Nothing has been said about an insurance pay-out that must have happened, probably in 6 figures. All that jail time would do is cause more misery. It was an accident. Accident: - noun
    1.
an unfortunate incident that happens unexpectedly and unintentionally, typically resulting in damage or injury.
