Quite a remarkable new vehicle. Very impressed by its design, comfort and driving characteristics. Seems very much as a big winner. Unclear if such will be available in Europe in view of existing limitations, market differences. Also quite impressed by the road…. Vietnam still far away from such level unfortunately…
i pretty sure it won't. the market for people who want to get eye cancer is very small in europe. however, it might take a while but you will get these charging speeds as well in europe in the next years. and regarding the range, WLTP is not the same as the chinese standard where you have to drive the car down a mountain to reach the km claims. WLTP in europe is already far from reality. you have to substract between 15...30% of range, depending if you are a fast driver or not. but for chinese range claims, you have to substract another 10%. i guess the next version of the ID. Buzz could be nice with a bit better battery tech.
@stefanweilhartner4415 CLTC in general means a 20-25% drop from the stated claims (I should know, I've tested enough of them) but this car claims 15.9kWh per 100km and during our day of driving over 100km, I'm not sure the exact distance, we averaged the exact same figure with 4 on board, a bunch of equipment, and A/C on full, so it was pretty damn good.
@@InsideChinaAuto The latest version is really cool.. It would be great if you can do an actual range test.. More power to your very informative channel 🤘

I'm a German engineer and was working more than the last two decades for a well known - not saying- World's famos car manufacturer. The Chinese car makers poped up in Europe on famos auto exibitions like IAA-Frankfurt somewhere two decades ago. We the European did repat the mistakes as once the US car makers ignored Japanese car makers when they did enter the US-Market. So, now we do experiance in Europ a wave the another by the Chinese car makers and we are struggeling to follow up with the advancd technologies they do offer even on the mass market for passenger cars, at all measures. Hence I wish good luck to all of us in this battl we've already lost to be honest. Just check to understand the facts strating allmost at the sequence 28:00 min. Sorry for typing errors. My keybad has go crazy be the facts in this video.🙂
Yes, that's 102.7kWh battery, 710km range on CLTC, charges over 500km in less than 11 minutes (on the right charger). You're right about those doubting the Chinese. To be honest, if I'd been those guys looking at Chinese cars back in 2010 or so, I'd doubt it too, they were dross. Even 2014 they weren't good. The turnaround has been quite incredible.
From the perspective of the Chinese market, compared to Japanese automakers, German automakers have shown a relatively swift response to electrification. While Germany's automotive industry maintains its excellent mechanical design capabilities, there are still significant shortcomings in terms of intelligence and networking. In the Chinese market, the first players likely to be eliminated are French, followed by Japanese and American brands. Thanks to their strong position in the luxury car segment, German automakers can still achieve significant profits within five years.
@evrythingis1 Come see for yourself mate. Go visit the factories doing huge amounts totally automated, try the cars, use the software. When you've done all that, and when you've worked for Mercedes for 8 years and know exactly what they're like too, how they drive, how they're built, how their software works, come back and see if you still think I'm a wumao or somebody who actually knows his shit.
I love the 10ths and 100ths of a percent on the charging screen so you can actually see it go up. Would be better if it was in kwhr but oh well. OF COURSE, here in America, we'll never get such things because OEMs are afraid to show us numbers at all. They begrudgingly give us 0-100%. And they HATE to show us units. (Even though they used to do that type of thing.) Because they think we're all 5 years old or something.
I think there's room for both but certainly a charging speed like this makes swapping far less necessary or unique. In China at least, the cost of fast chargers is usually about 16 price or 21 cents per kWh, so even a full 0-100% charge on this would be about £17 / $23. Can't say the same for Europe but you also don't get these charging speeds.
@@stefanweilhartner4415 yeah... if you live in a house or a residential tower with personal underground parking... unfortunately most chinese people living in urban areas do not have that. (also people in rural area might have home charging, but not really have the money to buy an expensive EV)

Li has their own network of fast chargers, 2,000 by the end of 2024, 5,000 by the end of 2025, but this can also charge on other fast chargers and XPeng, NIO and Zeekr are all rolling out superfast chargers. Sadly I doubt either. US isn't too keen on Chinese cars coming showing up how crap a Hummer E3 is or whatever it's called.
Overall it's an excellent car, really very impressive.
Absolutely Fantastic!👍🙏🙂🐲🐉
Couldn't agree more.
Superb car, I hope it comes to Europe at a reasonable price.
Might be waiting a while I'm afraid. They're focused on domestic markets to begin with.
i pretty sure it won't. the market for people who want to get eye cancer is very small in europe.
however, it might take a while but you will get these charging speeds as well in europe in the next years. and regarding the range, WLTP is not the same as the chinese standard where you have to drive the car down a mountain to reach the km claims.
WLTP in europe is already far from reality. you have to substract between 15...30% of range, depending if you are a fast driver or not. but for chinese range claims, you have to substract another 10%.
i guess the next version of the ID. Buzz could be nice with a bit better battery tech.
@stefanweilhartner4415 CLTC in general means a 20-25% drop from the stated claims (I should know, I've tested enough of them) but this car claims 15.9kWh per 100km and during our day of driving over 100km, I'm not sure the exact distance, we averaged the exact same figure with 4 on board, a bunch of equipment, and A/C on full, so it was pretty damn good.
like your video and nice ev
Cheers Ryan. The car is cool.
Wow, I’ll buy this one once available
You should, especially if you have a family.
@@InsideChinaAuto Didn't notice what the price was?
@@normanklein3155 559,800 RMB, or about £61.5 / $78k
IT IS TRULY A BEAUTIFUL CAR, WOW, WHAT A DESIGN.
Big fan here.
This is great..I hope you can also review the mini cars like Chery EQ1 2024 and Baojun E100.. Thanks 🤘
Trying to get an eQ1, they look cool.
@@InsideChinaAuto The latest version is really cool.. It would be great if you can do an actual range test.. More power to your very informative channel 🤘
The people of China are so lucky to have the most practical electric van in the world.
Not sure I'd call it the most practical to be honest, but it's certainly very usable. The concept of captain's chairs limits how practical it can really be compared to say western MPVs where you can remove the seats.
Looks amazing !
So it does. Quite distinctive.
Perfect, clean, extremely comfortable. The future!
Feels that way.
just saw one on a test drive in Shanghai today. interesting looking although I think I like the Xpeng X9 more
I'm looking forward to comparing to the X9 and seeing where each betters the other.
@@InsideChinaAuto Still think Zeekr 9 is the coolest in this category.
Your reviews are really good, great viewing experience and good knowledge thank you
Glad you like them my friend. Thanks for watching.
@@InsideChinaAuto your welcome looking forward to watching some of the others keep them coming
@@syshou I am Chinese and you are right. This is the current situation. The sales of BMW, Mercedes-Benz and Audi are still very good in China.
@@InsideChinaAuto You sound like Wumao.
Beautiful design luv how fast it charge 👍🏿
It's the future.
@@InsideChinaAuto am all for the electric vehicle 👍🏿
I love the 10ths and 100ths of a percent on the charging screen so you can actually see it go up. Would be better if it was in kwhr but oh well. OF COURSE, here in America, we'll never get such things because OEMs are afraid to show us numbers at all. They begrudgingly give us 0-100%. And they HATE to show us units. (Even though they used to do that type of thing.) Because they think we're all 5 years old or something.
It does help highlight the impressive speed with some theatrics. The whole world needs more tech like this, US especially.
Needs to show kW. It was pulling over 500 kW at 9% and 331 kW still at 79%! About 4 times faster charging than my 2023 Tesla Model Y Long Range!!
Nice
Agreed.
This is impressive! I love everything about this car. I hope it's reliable though.
Lis have been so far but only time will tell.
Would these kind of charging speeds make NIO's swap stations unnecessary? What would be the cost of each?
I think there's room for both but certainly a charging speed like this makes swapping far less necessary or unique. In China at least, the cost of fast chargers is usually about 16 price or 21 cents per kWh, so even a full 0-100% charge on this would be about £17 / $23. Can't say the same for Europe but you also don't get these charging speeds.
yes. but also slow charging at home is enough for a lot of applications.
@@stefanweilhartner4415 yeah... if you live in a house or a residential tower with personal underground parking... unfortunately most chinese people living in urban areas do not have that. (also people in rural area might have home charging, but not really have the money to buy an expensive EV)
wow. how did china past the US in electric infrastructure and innovation? they were considered a third world country 20 years ago! what happened?
This is what is possible when industries work in the same direction, not hamstrung by endless bickering and indecision.
The difference between a competent patriotic government, and corrupt and dumb government.
China is still third world country right now!😂
@@Ben-qe8cxUSA is 3rd world country 🤣. Homelessness everywhere

Quite the headturner.
Fantastic car! Thank you.
No problem. Thank Li Auto.
@@InsideChinaAuto Yeah! I hope they will bring it to Europe.
Thanks for the information
No problem at all mate
Amazing charging speed 😮
Ridiculous how fast it is.
Fantastic ❤
I thought so too
Thanks for the video, are there any plans to export currently
Not yet, but stay tuned. It's going to be a big year for Li Auto and they may just expand to some places. We'll have to see.
Great vehicles for hole family to go long tour
Agree. I wouldn't mind.
Nice looking vehicle.
Wow. This is actually a good car. Congratulation
Thanks, I worked really hard on it. But no, it is a good car, a very good one.
Hi where in China is that filmed.
Sanya
how does this car charge this fast? How many cycles can you do, before your battery performance starts to depreciate?
Guess we'll only know in a few years time but it's basically down to the battery. CATL continue to innovate in this area and make impressive gains.
@@InsideChinaAuto it's pretty impressive
Beautiful design all around. Nothing missed.
It's a cracker.
The big question is: Does the airbags work and doorhandles open in case of a crash/fire? 🤔
Why would they not? (They come with manual handles in the door pockets for inside and unless the connections to the doors get totally severed in an accident they should open from the outside too)
Wow I want that car.... can we bring this to U.S American people want this car
Oh they do? I thought your leaders, past and present, told us nobody wants them, they just want gas burning SUVs and pick-ups. Tell them they're wrong in November.
Wow 🤩 beautiful inside.
It's very nice indeed. Lovely materials and elegant design.
Li is a company that manufactures high-end automobiles, ranking second in the world in EVs
Don't think they're second in the world yet, far from it, but I'm sure they wouldn't mind.
Very good car I really like 😍
Suspect it'll be available in your part of the world in the not too distant future. At least that's the rumblings I've heard.
amazing car, I want to buy one
Will have to come to China or import one for a while I think.
I so hope this helps China's economy. So nice of you 🌹 You're amazing.
Thanks for the flower.
How's the fast charging infrastructure? Basically, how easy is it to charge this vehicle?
Li has their own network of fast chargers, 2,000 by the end of 2024, 5,000 by the end of 2025, but this can also charge on other fast chargers and XPeng, NIO and Zeekr are all rolling out superfast chargers. Don't think State Grid has any this fast yet but I've yet to see a public charger less than 140kW in China.
@@InsideChinaAuto I see. Thanks.
Any news if Li Auto is coming to the UK?
Not a chance for a while I don't think. They're barely even sniffing at anywhere outside of China just yet.
What's the battery chemistry?
Because which battery gonna survive 8C charging for long
I believe it's CATL's NMC Qilin battery.
How much does it cost in China?
559,800 rmb. About $77k
Beautiful design indeed.👍
Another in the like column.
I love this! I think the electric minivan (MPV) is a market that's been overlooked for a few years now.
Indeed it has.
