I'll do my best to try the ADAS out too. On the launch they showed one going from parking space to parking space across a city without any intervention, so it looks good on the face of it.
This makes so much more sense than a SUV. Impressive functionality! However from all the ‚scenes‘ you presented, most would not be relevant for me. I‘d consider scene 1 a real asset that could by itself be a reason to buy this car. The other scene that WOULD be very appreciated by me is scene 6. However I‘m not convinced by it‘s actual implementation. I think it falls short in practicality, since the seats don‘t really fold flat and the steering wheel is clearly in the way. No wonder only pictures with no one actually lying on the bed are shown. Last but not least you seem to need a VERY thick mattress to make it tolerable, but where would you store such a thing, when not in use? Camping mode is actually a deciding factor for buying my next car, but this idea falls short in the Zeekr MIX unfortunately. Let‘s hope they come up with a better setup in an updated model. There is clearly a market for something like that.
China doesn't really have a camping/Rv culture so it's more a gimmick than a pragmatic approach. Were they be serious about making electric camping vans or rvs I bet they are gonna push the boundaries so far. Just imagine a rv to have 200~300wh, costs so few on power and all the Asian interior creative designs with voice controlled furniture. Camping vans is even easier to make but they know they aren't gonna sell well in China. Maybe when they truly gain fame in western countries overtime will they start doing these and when they do they are gonna crush the competition
They are indeed already moving into this space and the caravan space too. You can check out our Farizon SuperVAN video, the first one, to see one such example of an EV camper.
Agreed that not all the scenes will work for everyone, but there's a lot of good stuff in there. As for the bed, they showed the one in the yellow car and that was a blow up bed but really rigid, surprisingly so, though I'm not sure if that's an official accessory. In a Li Auto, for example, they have a blow up bed with bits that fit into the recesses of the seats to make sure it lies flat when blown up. I highly suspect Zeekr will do the same thing though I'm not sure.
Thank you for your excellent and comprehensive review. This is the first video of the Zeekr Mix that revealed all possible seat and comfort configurations.
As l like camping pretty much , this MPV is my dream camping car ( as government encourages people to buy green /electric cars, l strongly believe it will be very good value MPV )
@@InsideChinaAuto i had watched a no. of Mix on utube, and u are the only one to demo the different scenario (9?) of the seating arrangement. I can see your efforts there. 👍🏾
So glad to have you here. Lots of amazing cars to review here. Hopefully your government takes off the 100% tariff on Chinese EVs, then you might get them.
I've got the very last Citroen C4 Spacetourer that came of the production line and it's the best 7 seater family car. Why did Citroen stop making it i don't know why and this Zeekr Mix is just brilliant as a replacement and need it to come to the UK.
@@InsideChinaAuto Once it became “fashionable” all hope for the MPV was lost. Sales dwindled and they were probably left with no choice but to follow the herd. However, I hope Zeekr prove with this that the tide can be turned against the pointless SUV trend…?
Not yet, and i doubt it'll get one because it's steer-by-wire to get that really tight turning circle, so not so easy to do. Doesn't need it though. It's quite low to the ground so going far off road isn't really an option.
Strong Toyota Previa vibes inside - but those pillars are massive. Presumably because of the doors? I think Renault have done a good job with the new Scenic - aside from the fact it isn't very adventurous from the outside. Definitely about time MPVs returned to replace SUVs, though. I did read about Renault considering a retro-futuristic EV reinvention of the Espace after its current (also SUV) iteration. Here's hoping...
Here's hoping indeed. The pillars are big, I'd guess for strength, but you don't much notice that inside. The doors themselves have pillars built in made from submarine steel and they're apparently even stronger than a normal b-pillar, so you're covered.
European car brands have gotten away with offering the bare minimum for years and it'll catch up with them eventually. The Koreans exposed it and now the Chinese will too.
Very cool. But when are big wheels big enough? When we are back to 50 inch horse carriage wheels? Huge wheels take away a lot of interior space, only because it looks cool?
They seem to get bigger and bigger these days. Not such an issue for the front wheels but can affect the cabin space at the rear, which is probably why they separated the springs and dampers to maximise space between the rear arches.
Haha, was only there for the event mate, I'm not there usually. Enjoy your SU7, I'm sure you'll have a great time. Be careful though, that thing can be a monster if you have a heavy foot.
Wow what an incredibly flexible vehicle! If this is 'the one', where do you go from here with ICA?? I foresee a series of videos on this car alone... Really nice review, shame you were a bit rushed for time but as you say, you'll get other chances. What are the EU/UK plans for Zeekr though? 🤔🤷🏼♂️
It's a brilliant car and ideal for me, but don't worry, it won't affect my enthusiasm for other cars. I'm looking forward to making some videos about it when I get one for myself. It is a shame about the time but no worries, there will be more and I'll get to really test it in detail in various scenarios. As for Zeekr, they're in a few EU countries already and will continue to expand next year as far as I'm aware. I'm guessing the UK will be in line next year given they're now getting into other RHD markets but let's see. As for when they'll introduce the MIX, there's no word on that. I'm hopeful for next year but they might want to make sure everything works fine in China first before going abroad as they do with some other bits. Let's see.
At one point it was rumored that the highly anticipated Apple Car would be a minivan. It is the most efficient type of vehicle in terms of interior space and packaging. The Zeekr Mix almost looks like it could have been designed by Apple, especially in this color scheme!
Doing is making real functional car for a large variety of consumers. And in addition, their design is different from others - sometimes I can’t differentiate the brands. Nice car.
Speaking about Renault, this Zeekr MIX remind me about the Espace than Scenic. Sad the industry turns towards SUV and neglect such kind of véhicule that seems to respond much better to family or simply to Taxi.
@@InsideChinaAuto yes that’s right; I forgot that point. Thanks for reminding me about this aspect. I almost bought the Espace but didn’t materialize as I moved to another duty station. Anyway, this is another demonstration Chinese manufactures know how to tackle the market and consumers’ aspirations. Again breat video and great RUclipsr. Highly appreciate your work!
No word on that yet but I sure hope so. Zeekr need to expand to there first, which I expect will happen next year. Might be at least 12 months before you can have this there though.
This is not a beautiful or classy vehicle. And I think that is perfectly fine! It's unabashedly not pretentious and just oozes with functionality and fun! Absolutely love this vehicle! Wish it came to Aus! One thing I dont like though...and it's not a Zeekr exclusive...is the huge centre screen replacing physical buttons. I just wish the Chinese car makers go against the grain in general and start making cars with buttons again! I guess in a sense, I'm glad BYD is retaining the gear selector still and some buttons.
Yeah, right now BYD is the only brand sticking with a bunch of buttons. Ideally they'd make them a bit better in some cases but at least they're making them. Many are just going to the screen as you said and that's not ideal if you don't much like talking to your car.
Yeah, it's a little close to the ground but in normal life that won't be an issue. The doors are cool and you know they won't hit other cars which negates the challenges of children banging doors.
Nice party trick with the swiveling seats. My question: Can seats be folded flat for camping? If you want to use a car for camping you would want some flat surface to sleep on.
You can fold the front seats nearly all the way down and the rear backrests go pretty far back to. There's an example of a sleeping scene in the video at some point, I think about option 4 on the scene demo, and you can see how they've put a double airbed in there.
Lovely car. I love cars with a short bonnet. I would have loved to have one if it was not made in China. I am from Hong Kong and I cannot support a Chinese state owned company after what they have done to our democracy activists in Hong Kong.
The only question is whether you're reading accurate news about what they did. Any other country would have put the military in there with what was going on and they didn't do that. I love Hong Kong but going there now it feels like a city from half a century ago in places compared to many Chinese cities. Let's not forget the horrible stuff the British did to Hong Kongers for years and how they only gave a semblance of democracy the moment it looked like China was coming to take it back. The inequality in Hong Kong is a direct result of British rule (I say this as a Brit) and it wouldn't hurt for China to help apply in Hong Kong what they've done in China with regards to tech, equality, and EVs. Hong Kong has so much to offer but it needs bringing up to modern standards.
@@InsideChinaAuto they are more like Ford Galaxy and Volkswagen Sharan were and are $70k plus in China. The GP, C-Max, Zafira, old 5008 were smaller and alot cheaper around £30k.
Don't want to spoil the party, but the missing B pillar means that any fender-bender from the side will total the car. Insurance will be through the roof, too.
Afraid that's where you're wrong because this particular car is actually even safer in a side-on collision. It uses submarine-grade steel both around the doors and in the doors themselves to create kind of the equivalent of two B-pillars. It's all fully tested and proven.
The 3rd child will be born soon. It would be a perfect replacement for the current Toyota Prius+. It's sad how European car manufacturers have lost their vision.
It's all preselected in the system, you just pick the scene you want. It takes ages for some of them so I saved you the hassle of a long wait just watching seats move, but i did mention they take an age to get into position. Some people managed to rotate the seat with the buttons on the side but the person I asked didn't know how to do that annoyingly.
Damn. Be careful with the red bull before you start filming. Energier Bunny got nothing on that dude. Can't even process everything he says, he say it all at once. 😮

🤩 Loving the whole package: design, size, functionality, tech, and price! Can't wait for it to arrive in Malaysia! 🇲🇾
Hope it gets there soon. Seems to be very popular with those outside of China.
If this ever comes to the USA a lot more people will be living in their cars.
I'd live in my car with US rental costs. Probably nicer too.
Thank you for your excellent and comprehensive review. This is the first video of the Zeekr Mix that revealed all possible seat and comfort configurations.
I like to deliver the details. Great to have you here.
Hope the BBC top gear team are watching this! They could do with a real presenter who makes sense again 😊
Haha, if anyone has their contacts and wants to tell them about me, do please feel free. I can be fun too when other people are about.
Would buy this in a heartbeat for here in Thailand, brilliant.
Hopefully you'll get them there soon.
@@InsideChinaAuto hope so, need a van to make vlogs around Thailand, this could be ideal
As l like camping pretty much , this MPV is my dream camping car ( as government encourages people to buy green /electric cars, l strongly believe it will be very good value MPV )
Could be a great camping car this.
Really a nice/practical family car for holidays!
Indeed, or for everyday life.
Nice job to you and Zeekr!! 👍🏾👍🏾 No more excuse not to subscribe your channel🥰🥰
Haha. What was the excuse before? 😁
@@InsideChinaAuto i had watched a no. of Mix on utube, and u are the only one to demo the different scenario (9?) of the seating arrangement. I can see your efforts there. 👍🏾
@@henleychoy6834 Very glad to have you here.
Great to find your channel. A great review for a great design. Would love to get it if it can be imported to Canada.
So glad to have you here. Lots of amazing cars to review here. Hopefully your government takes off the 100% tariff on Chinese EVs, then you might get them.
Tiny mobile home❤😊
Yeah, you can pretty much do anything with it.
Gotta say this looks better than the VW ID Buzz.
100%. The monobox look is just ace.
Not to mention Citroen abandoning the Picasso MPV too… I think this is the most interesting and desirable car I’ve seen in ages!
I've got the very last Citroen C4 Spacetourer that came of the production line and it's the best 7 seater family car. Why did Citroen stop making it i don't know why and this Zeekr Mix is just brilliant as a replacement and need it to come to the UK.
Indeed. The French failed us with their move to SUVs, or we failed them by not buying enough MPVs.
@@InsideChinaAuto Once it became “fashionable” all hope for the MPV was lost. Sales dwindled and they were probably left with no choice but to follow the herd. However, I hope Zeekr prove with this that the tide can be turned against the pointless SUV trend…?
Love it :) can’t wait to come to Shanghai in April 2025
You're going to love it.
Wow those doors and the seats are awesome
Pretty damn cool. It's a brilliant car.
Amazing! Completely agree - Renault Completely screwed up
I wanted Renault to make something like this so badly. I still hope they do but can't see it happening.
Looks really nice. No 4WD option just yet?
Not yet, and i doubt it'll get one because it's steer-by-wire to get that really tight turning circle, so not so easy to do. Doesn't need it though. It's quite low to the ground so going far off road isn't really an option.

. please come to Thailand

I hope it does. You'll love it.
thanks for that, amazing inside flexibility, space and gorgeous looking vehicle, simple modern exterior,
This car has it all. I just love it.
Great sharing. More foreigners should visit China.
They'll see it for what it really is when they do and it surprises all of them.
Fantastic road trip car.
Imagine. It would be ace.
If this comes to Australia I'll buy it straight away.
Good to see there are more MPV fans out there.
This car has more components for the seats than for the engine. 😂
More component for engine its sure nightmare when broke thats its so sure
This is a pure EV
@@cwdjdsd-36321cs You can't tell the a joke ha!
Indeed. In theory it'll stay on the road longer but you might end up stuck facing backwards. Haha
I love all the leg room in the front without the unnecessary plastic separator that most cars have between the two front seats.
There were rumours they were going to make a 6-seater version with a middle front seat but looks like they're not going there yet. Shame.
I really hope they bring this to europe
Same. Make MPVs Great Again.
Wow! Another example why our German car industry is lost. So innovative, so practical ... an ID buzz looks so dull alongside this Zeekr.
Not such an issue for the front wheels but can affect the cabin space at the rear, which is probably why they separated the springs and dampers to maximise space between the rear arches.
i didnt even noticed that car before. you are in GZ? why dont you come around and meet these days?`going to pick my su7 max up tomorrow
Haha, was only there for the event mate, I'm not there usually. Enjoy your SU7, I'm sure you'll have a great time. Be careful though, that thing can be a monster if you have a heavy foot.
@@InsideChinaAuto oh its heavy.... but i try loose weight. cheers mate! 🤣
Let's see.
@@InsideChinaAuto Thanks for the in depth reply! 🙌
@@bluefish2303 No problem. You took the time to engage, the least I can do is reply.
We call this car Baby Bus in China. I will definitely save money for this car. It's a great gift for family.
Baby Bus. I love it.
would love to have one, it would the perfect fit for my business idea.
Would love to know what the idea is. Something travel related?
At one point it was rumored that the highly anticipated Apple Car would be a minivan. It is the most efficient type of vehicle in terms of interior space and packaging. The Zeekr Mix almost looks like it could have been designed by Apple, especially in this color scheme!
They should have made it but sadly not. At least these guys did. You're spot on about the colour scheme.
It's over for the Europeans. They keep on adding screens everywhere, while Zeekr builds what people actually need.
They need to remember what ambition is and find theirs again.
Did you have a chance to check out efficiency?
Not so much. I mentioned it in the video but most of what was in the system was from other drivers so hard to judge what they did with the car.
It's a lovely car this. I say Scenic because of the two rows rather than the three the Espace had. I adored both of those cars as a kid.
@@MichelHenriTonneau Thanks so much for watching regularly Michel, it's my privilege to have you here.
Gotta say, I love this!!
Gotta say I agree.
Brilliant car and the more I look at it the more it looks like the car is wearing shades. Which is not a bad thing.
Haha, that is a fun way of looking at it.
This why Zeekr is going to dominate
I hope so. I like Zeekr a lot.
Amazing car!
It really is. I love this car.
Nice review, well done.
Thank you very much. I realised when editing i was talking about 1000mph, maybe too excited or too pressed for time, I had to slow it down slightly.
Will this be available in the UK? And what will be the price?
No word on that yet but I sure hope so. Zeekr need to expand to there first, which I expect will happen next year. Might be at least 12 months before you can have this there though.
@@InsideChinaAuto ☹️ sad to hear that but thanks for your quick response
Many are just going to the screen as you said and that's not ideal if you don't much like talking to your car.
wtf? this is like the best chinese car i've ever seen
I feel the same way, and I've seen some brilliant ones.
The Best car ever.nice.
I feel the same way.
Beutiful!
But I like buttons and climate control, not only screen
Indeed, that's the only thing missing really.
Good resolve on that doors. It is far more durable than a sliding door. Just a concern on ground clearance.
This is how the ID Buzz should be. However, its pricing turned many people away.
Couldn't agree more.
Wawo amazing Chinese cars
They're bringing out some bangers these days.
Another Chinese EV the European auto makers can cry over.
This just shows how conservative big auto is here.
Imagine having such a huge lead and losing it through neglect. Euro brands and their dieselgate shenanigans have a lot to answer for.
Great review.
Thank you very much, and thank you for watching.
Wouldn’t surprise me if Jim Farley has already made arrangements to ship a MIX to the US, just like the Xiaomi SU7 he’s enamored with. :-D
I hope the boss of Renault got his order in too.
Cant agree more than what you said on this video title. That car is what Renault should have built
100%. I've been waiting years for them to do something like this but no, nothing.
Citroen had the same opportunity with the grand picasso and missed out. A 5+2 mpv. The car Europe needs is the BYD eMAX7 and cars like that..
I'll raise you an XPeng X9 or a Zeekr 009, or a Li MEGA.
@@InsideChinaAuto they are more like Ford Galaxy and Volkswagen Sharan were and are $70k plus in China. The GP, C-Max, Zafira, old 5008 were smaller and alot cheaper around £30k.
22:13 Hey, the Canton Tower 👍🏻
Indeed. Cool building.
Is it a 4 seater?
Nope, 5 seats.
Agreed. They need to find their mojo again, especially brands like Renault who were always so good at this.
I genuinely want this in NL
I hope the same for you.
1st chinese car in America, thanks to Waymo.
Indeed, or very similar at least. Let's see how those 100% tariffs affect that deal.
Do we see this faboulus Car in Europe??
I'm sure hoping so. No reason why not.
Can you put mirrored text in the headlights while driving? To "salute" the people in front of you?
Haha. I don't believe you can but I'd like that in an OTA update. You could write it backwards by hand though.
Do they have 7 seaters?
There's a Zeekr 009 for that. Not on this one.
Thanks...great car👍
You're very welcome. The car did all the hard work.
Should do it with canvas roof... you could stand up 😊
Like a MIX Moke Edition. Great idea.
Too bad for MPV I have already owned a 009, the MIX looks fun and cool, if I'm not in Shenzhen I would definitely buy one!
The 009 is an ace car though, it's not such a bad thing to miss out on the MIX for that.
Awesome car 🤘🏽🤘🏽🤘🏽🤘🏽
I (clearly) think so too.
We see the seats in different positions, but we never see how they turn, using which controls or handles, and how easy or difficult it is to do so.
So everything is electric when you change the direction of a seat?
@@fluxcapacitor All electric. I'd like a bit more manual stuff to be honest, like in the original Scenic, but engineers don't like that.
Damn. Be careful with the red bull before you start filming. Energier Bunny got nothing on that dude. Can't even process everything he says, he say it all at once. 😮
Monster Pipeline Punch, thank you very much. 😁
Not the Scenic but the Espace. 😊
Espace is 3 rows, Scenic just 2, which is why I made that comparison.
😮😮😮. Wow 🎉🎉🎉🎉
.
My thoughts exactly.
What the ID Buzz should have been but they fumbled, hoping this comes to the UK,would be a fab micro/dayvan camper. I hope the roof is strong enough for a roof tent.... 🤔
I think with a roof rack you'll have no issue for the roof tent. Let's hope it makes it to the UK. I want to see these one day when I go back there.
i need a long version of the MIX, with a 3rd row and 8 seats.
Zeekr Big MIX. Like it
my dreaming car... less electronics and smaller... that would be awesome with huge battery and 4WD. What a pity it's not a Tesla (Superchargers).
Like a Mitsubishi Delica for the 21st century. Now that would be cool. Maybe the upcoming iCar X25 will interest you.
How much does it cost
279,000 RMB for the smaller battery, 299,000 for the larger battery, whatever that is in your currency.
In £’s should we get it
@bryanstoneman842 I'll let you know when that's confirmed. It'll be a way off yet, maybe a year or more at a guess.
