It is so satisfying watching you do this. I guess the designs you cut come from experience? I can't get over how a small branch can be turned into such useful objects. Can you tell me what kind of a lathe it is you are using? That looks exactly like what the Japanese drink osake out of.
Thank you! I'm glad you like it! My ideas come from many different things. Picture's, things I see in nature, and just thing's I think of. The lathe is a shop fox. Thanks for watching!
Very nicely done!
Thanks Doug!
Nice job and, as always, thank you for sharing 🌞
Thanks Ray! And as always, thanks for watching!
What is it that you use to burn in those groves?
@@greggriffith642 bailing wire
Wie immer eine super Arbeit! Gut vorgemacht!
Thank you! Appreciate you watching!
Pretty sneaky, I also thought it was gonna be a single piece, LOL!
There was to much of a bow and it was to long.
When you turn to burn what speed are you using and gauge of wire , PLS/THNX ....beautiful work as per usual.
Thank you!
It's standard bailing wire. The speed is about 1200 rpms.
I thought you were finally gonna show me how to turn a 4ft piece on an 18inch lathe... But this was nice too!
Thanks! Now that would be a trick, wouldn't it?
@@RcWoodturning its my goal one day to turn a single piece cue stick... :)
@@starhawke380 That would definitely be a challenge. Especially working on the center.
@@RcWoodturning you think i might run into some deflection while turning it? It's just like doing a harry potter wand, but bigger! ;)
@starhawke380 Ya probably. You would have make light cut to try and counter that.
