Man, I’ve had mine for over 10 years and never knew the second row seats went flush like that. Nice job on the video.
That's what I really love about the Land Rover lr3. I'm constantly finding new little Hidden Treasures. Thanks for watching and thanks for sharing your story.
Great editing my friend. It’s often the basic and simple videos done with care and detail that people enjoy the most
This man should get paid to do commercials. 👍
It's simply genius how you give a comparison against yourself, multiplied 😄👍🏻
Great video!
Your car is not only a super capable off-roader, but also an extremely versatile car, plus it is extremely elegant. And the seat arrangement, is byt FAR the best I have ever seen.
Might get one instead of my Freelander 2 SE i6 3,2 Liter petrol.
Thank you so much for sharing.
Kind regards.
When you get one let me know how you like it. Thanks for watching
That was one of the best auto review videos I’ve ever seen. You helped make my decision to buy an LR3 10X easier.
I just bought a 2007 Land Rover discovery. Your video just made me fall in love with it 🥰😁 thank you!!
@@naturallyyounaturallyme1324 yes I understand and agree. I don't think people truly understand how nice of a ride these vehicles are. Enjoy and thanks for watching.
Nice video, I test drove an LR4 today and the salesman didn't think they could go flat. Thanks.
I can’t tell you how much your videos have helped me. Thank you!!
7:52 I’m buying a 2008 LR3 tomorrow and your videos are so helpful, even if this one is 5 years old!!! I have “a lot of catching up to do” so I look forward to watching more on your channel. Guess it’s time to subscribe!
I appreciate your comment and thanks for watching. If you have any specific questions feel free to ask and I will be more than happy to answer them
This is the best car review I've ever seen haha. So simple no nonsense
Love this! Just got a Landrover so I'm now watching every video on it haha
I hunt, camp, and fish a lot. I thought about getting one of these older Land Rovers instead of a truck so that I could also use it as a back-up family vehicle. Thank you for this video! It really shed a lot of light on it's capabilities.
I've had my LR3 (Discovery 3 here in England) for 3 years and never knew that the middle seats went down to match the height of the rear part! Thank you!!
Are they as unreliable as people say?
@@muscleprotein Well mine's had the handbrake module and two suspension pumps in the time I've had it. Luckily the parts are getting much cheaper (£170 for pump last month) Hardest part is finding someone who can diagnose the problems effectively; Take it to a Land Rover specialist who has all the right diagnostic gear and they'll have seen all the issues before. The smaller places who just have the snap-on readers can't tell you anything.
@@muscleprotein
No these trucks are actually pretty legit. Just don't buy anything newer than the 2013 models. 06 was the first year these came out in the US. Also not the best year to get.
@@muscleprotein get the auto... clutch on Manuel is body of to replace if u do it by the book at garage ,it's fiddly but u can do it by just loosing a few things
I'm in the market for one and can't say thank you how simply and humbly you have all the videos on this beast. I appreciate your time and knowledge.
Thanks for all your support and if/when you get one Let me know. Thanks again.
Just bought a 2006 with 113,000 miles but it has been taken great care of. Very happy with the purchase. Thank you for your videos.
You're welcome Kathy and if you ever have any questions feel free to ask. Enjoy your new baby.
I have seen several (3) of your videos and you do an excellent job of explaining, in easy to understand terms, several items that may be unknown to the average owner. Great work.
Dude! You answered so many questions. I had to watch 50+ videos until I found your video. Great content!
I appreciate the compliment and thanks for watching. Do you have one or are you interested in getting one?
Best RUclips video on this subject there is thank you 🙏
One of the best videos I’ve seen on the LR3! Keep up the great videos
Land Rover needs to pay you. I’m moving to Africa and you just sold me over the 4Runner etc. great edits too
That is impressive engineering
I’m looking for an LR3, this video is very helpful!
Great explaination, glad to see someone who likes them! I've been fixing only Landrovers for 28 years and I love the looks of the LR3/4, hard to believe the Disco 5 is from the same design team really, trying to hard! Good luck with any faults you may get, some people have many, other people have only a few, just the same as Landrovers all through the years!
It's Funny we took a Defender from UK to Moab Easter Jeep Safari in Utah years ago, back then Defenders were everywhere around London area, derelict cheap, most been brought up now or stolen.
Anyway had a great time there in your lovely country, hi from UK, nice video 😊
Great job of showing the LR3's seating and carrying capabilities, thanks for your effort!
Brilliant demonstration mate 😄
Damn this thing is clean. Very good. Excellent video!
I have a Disco 2 and wondered how much more room the newer models would provide - your video is excellent and has sold me on the fact that I need to upgrade to a newer model!
I love my Disco4 3.0T diesel, the space and the seats arrangement are the key reasons why i don’t give it up after I replaced 3 door locks...
Now thats intelligent interior design and function. Thank you for the demonstration.
Exactly what I was looking for. Thank you!
Thank you for sharing this information, it was surprisingly not easy to find.
Excellent video my friend. You answered all my questions about how much room the 3rd row actually has in the LR3/LR4.
I guess yours is the V8? I had the TdV6 diesel it was a force of nature in its capabilities, the thing was commodious, comfortable and dare I say cool. It filled many roles including a load luger, family SUV and executive sedan. I can't think of any other car that had so many uses......good review.
My wife and I have comfortably both slept inside my LR3, we took a two week trip to our friends ranch in Montana and on the way and while there we both had plenty of room to sleep. I have a big rear end tent that attaches to the opening of the lift gate that you can stand up in, change clothes, sit and read the Bible or anything you might like. Hard to beat the LR3, I love mine too.
Thanks for the leaving a comment on how you use your LR. I might have to go and get a tent myself. Thanks for watching and have a blessed day.
Napier (b/c I'm Nappy) Backroadz SUV Tent $225 +/- from Amazon. if your interested.
Great 👍🏽! Too bad the back of the seat next to the driver doesn't fold down !
Watching your videos made me fall in love with the lr3, I'm buying one soon.
Awsome, thank you, i needed the dimensions of the boot
Take care
I made another video where I break down the entire aspect of the entire rear. With the third row up and down, second row up and down.
The bestest best video.
And its all very true about Rover.
Thanks man, i am french from south of france, merci beaucoup et bravo pour cette vidéo. Jérôme
I just want to say thumbs up for osmanagain, back in May 2018, I was looking for a utility vehicle with at least 7 seating, both 3rd seats I wanted an adult to sit comfortably, nothing compares to this vehicles space. Now I have a 2006 LR3 HSE for almost 2 years and I am happy with it including my family.
I agree with you and I appreciate your comment. Thank you.
@bernal nery I have just brought the same model as you, so happy with it. All vehicles go wrong, it’s just a case of looking after them. There is also lot of tech on these trucks, so more to go wrong, luckily mine has a full service history, compressor upgrade, cam belts done and front wishbones replaced. Best of luck to you fellow Disco owners :)
You are awesome. I love your videos. I have the same car. Thanks for the great info.
I appreciate your support and I do love the LR also. Just went driving yesterday in the mountains took some pictures. Love this vehicle can't wait to get the LR4.
Hi, love this video, subscribed!

LX470 all the way....😁. J/K you're the man 🙇♂️ bossman!!! Love the awesome videos and all the cool things you've thought us. Thank you. Keep it up!!! 15k soon!!!
Haha thanks buddy.
This is a man who reads the manual lol. Good work man.
Brilliant thanks
Underrated video.
Brilliant video man, thanks
thank u for your job! very detailed video!
I just bought a 2008 LR3 to replace my 99 P38. Building a storage box for the back l have discovered a couple of things. The width between the wheel wells is only 45 inches. To make this even less Land Rover had to put stylish fat corners at each bottom corner. This reduces the entry width to 39 inches at the bottom. My storage box is going to be 6 inches narrower than in my P38. Still big enough but with a little more thought LR could of had an unobstructed 48 inches. Clever the way the seats work for sure.
I agree with you.
Great Review ! Good information on size, I now know sleeping in back is no problem. Many thanks for your quality review
This is the best suv i have seen
oh shit! i did know the seat had a second recessed level. Thank you Brother.
Brilliant video 👏
Loved the video.
I'm actually taken by this video. Maybe I should try for one of these.
Thank you for decent review.
If you look up flux dust there’s a woman who lives in her black disco 3 full time with her dog on you tube . Very informative cheers greg
Thanks for the information and I appreciate you watching and leaving a comment. You have a good day.
oxmanagain no worries I’m in Australia and watch your videos when I have problems with my lr3 keep up the good work is very informative.
Really great video, g good job! 👍
Hey need to see some more LR3 videos man great job
Wow now that’s versatile, I like it! Have a 13 LR2 witch is smaller but still like it. Looking forward to the new LR defender coming soon to the USA. Nice video
Tnx for video .Sadly, jaguar Land Rover changed the shape of a discovery. The new design of discovery is realy bad and it is not practical as lr4. What do you think about this!
I agree with you. The new LR just looks like all other SUV's. I like the look of the LR4 myself.
True. Get a 3 or 4 and lets keep those running for the next 5 decades.
The real replacement for the LR4 is the New Defender. The LR5 just looks like any other SUV without character.
Amazing review. Thanks a lot for the work you put into it.
I like your videos, they helped me when I purchased my lr3.
I'm glad I could help you out. What year did you buy and how do you like it? Thanks for watching and I appreciate your support.
@@oxmanagain I bought a 2006 LR3 HSE Expedition with the 4.4L. I've added a bunch of mods to it. I really wanted it for exploring the British Columbia mountains. I added a front runner roof rack. Converted all the lights to LED. Got xmoor custom fit seat covers. Installed a 12000 lbs winch behind the bumper.
Wow with that winch and light system you will be unstoppable.
@@oxmanagain I've been on a lot of trails in Alberta and BC. Have only used my winch a couple of times and that was to pull my buddies out lol. Just got finished installing a new alternator today. My dash looked like a Christmas tree and was throwing error codes like crazy. Funny how much one little component can cause so many issues.
Yeah people that don't own Land Rovers they don't realize how capable they are off road. And alternator is a nice little job, that's funny because I just got done doing my AC compressor. That was a little hassle. But you saved a lot of money by doing that yourself.
Great video. Did you know that the gap between the boot floor and the middle row when the seats are flat is for the luggage cover? Genius design!
I do now thanks for watching.
Awsome video man!
Thank you I appreciate you for watching.
Great video. Really enjoyed your style 😃
Whow, thank you so much...!
Disco 3’ü en iyi anlatan içerik 👍🏻
Have to agree with others, great video sir, just the information I wanted to know.
Thank you.
Awesome video, thanks man!
Nice video and editing, Sir. Audio could be better.
OMG your videos are both informative and entertaining. I like the double takes. I'm looking to by a 2014 LR4, 2013 LX-570 or Land Cruiser. My heart says go for the LR4 but my brain says LX-570. However, after viewing your videos I leaning more toward the LR4 hopefully with the HD package. My plans are to build the LR4 into my family adventure vehicle. I need 7 sets as I have 4 grandkids and a 8 year old son. I used to have a 2015 JKR but sold it for a more economical car (Chevy Volt) but we miss going out in the local deserts and mountains her in SoCal. Maybe one day we can meet up and go exploring.
That sounds cool, I'm always looking for someone else to go off-roading with. I have a friend with a Lexus LX and he loves the thing. But, I think all vehicle these days cost a lot when you take them to the dealers. That's one of the reasons I make the video's regarding maintenance, it's my way to help people out a little. Thanks for watching and if you ever have any questions feel free to ask.
lexus. if u want a reliable car that will past forever and keep its value.
Nice video and very informative. Many thanks brother for sharing and may the LORD BLESS YOU! Have a great weekend and be blessed always...!
It's always great to have someone say may the LORD BLESS YOU. I really appreciate your comment. You have a Blessed day also. Thanks for watching.
@oxmanagain you have any other Rovers? I have a few, but the LR3 has my heart. I got it as a project car a couple years back.. and it’s been nothing short. 😅🤷🏻♂️🤣
Gracias muy bien explicado lo voy a guardar
Great Video! Thanks for the insight.
Quality content. Great video.
Keep up the good work
Thanks bro
This was so well done! Sub'd!
nice review! I was wondering if a mountain bike fits with out removing the front tire? i know it is possible in the Disco II, thanks!
Yes just lay one of the seats down.
@@oxmanagain oh man that is great i think this is a go for a Disco 3 💥💪🏻
Hi there, thanks for another interesting video. How are you finding overall reliability of your Rover? I've been driving landcruisers for 12 years until 18months ago when I bought my Discovery 4. It's the 3.0 TDV6. It's used to tow our large twin axle caravan which it does with ease. In 12 years of landcruisers I had 3 major breakdowns only. I'm hoping the Disco will not break the bank. In 18 months no issues except usual lower control arm bushes. I'm trying to figure out if all the bad press is from non Landrover owners just fanning the flames or are Disco's really that bad? Having owned both now I can confirm that Landcruisers are good and generally reliable but Discoveries are better to drive, more comfortable with more refinement and better performance. Currently I like both Toyota and Landrover equally for different reasons. The Disco 4 is an amazing tow car. Time will tell if the love affair continues. Keep up the good work. I've just subscribed to your channel. Cheers Mark
I appreciate the support and thanks for your comment. Like you I owned another car before the Land Rover, I own the Cadillac Escalade and I think the Land Rover is a better vehicle smoother and more comfortable and more versatile. I haven't had any problems besides the normal things that go wrong with any car. If your air suspension is working fine then you shouldn't have any issue with your Land. Again, thanks for the support. You have a nice day
I have owned the Range Rover Sport 2012 which is based on the LR4/LR3 for 5 years now and no issues, other than the normal things that need to be replaced on any other car, the people who keep knocking land rovers either believe bad fairy tales or didn't properly service and look after their own LR. I have owned land Rovers for 12 years myself, Freelander1 with the BMW engine 2004, I serviced it every couple of months myself and made sure all components were properly oiled and the car was great! Then sold it for the Freelander2 and that was back in 2011, still it and it has given us so much joy! As well as the Sport, no issues.
super ! this is this what I was looking for ... by the way - you shall start commercials ;)
Thanks.
Is that 77 inches with the front seats forward or backward as far as they go? Would like to be able to transport 2m long item.
Can you please provide the dimensions of the tailgate, can the top remain open when driving?
Now all we need is swivel front seats
That would be nice.
Great review!
How's legroom at the 3rd row seats?
I'm 6'3" and I can fit. ruclips.net/video/BDmi_kdg63o/видео.html
The distance 77in from the front seats to the hatch - is it with the front seats in their driving position? What's the distance if both front seats are moved ahead as much as possible and backrests are leaned forward also? I reckon it's 80in, like the door, right?
So far, I'm a fan of Mitsubishi Pajero's seat folding system (ALL seats flat down), but your vid is opening new perspectives...
6:43 hahahah nice split screen
Yeah. I'm officially trading in my range rover hse full size for the LR3, WAY more usable cargo space!!!!
Hello! Can you have 2 carseat in the middle row, one on each outter side, and then access the third row by lowering the second row center seat?! Maybe not very confortable, but on occasional situations, is it possible?! I'm looking to buy one of this 2008 for me, my wife and 2 (3yr/1yr) babies that would go on the outter 2nd row seats on a toddler car seat. Great video, thank you!
Hello and yes you could have two baby seats on either rear seat. The problem is how would you get in front of the seats to even get to that middle seat. The middle seat lays flat so in theory yes I don't see how an adult could maybe a little kid but not an adult. I hope that helps.
It's a pity they didn't use the same designers to design the engine and drivetrain layout because it's a nightmare to actually try and get to anything to service it.
Great vehicle .. but a real PITA to work on.
I agree with you whole hearty. A big pain.
a lovely video man! Very helpful! I would definetly be interested in the tent if you got it and also, packing ideas for the roof and roof rack and luggage roof systems, etc. so one can travel with two adults and carry luggage and bikes and leave the interior free to sleep in?
That would be nice. I have considered getting a tent system like you said but so far I haven't. I wouldn't want to recommend any product that I haven't had the chance to use. But, if I ever get one, you best believe I will pass on my experience with it. Thanks for watching and I appreciate your comment.
We put three people, three bikes, tent and other bits in it. We don’t sleep in it. No need for roof rack or trailer. Great utility vehicle that can also be used to take the grandparents out to dinner in as well.
Quiero una de esas . Jjjj
One of you is bad enough. Now TWO of you! Yikes! Just joking. Very cool video.
My man, you are supposed to be paid fr this.
I appreciate that. One of the best comments I've heard in a long time.
7 seaters boot floor lenght is longer than 5 seater LR3
now i want one
Haha
