      I used your referral link when ordering like three months ago. At that time, my SA confirmed that he sees this, but when I picked up my car on 08/07, I forgot to ask. Today I realized, I never got those free SC 1k miles. Wonder if you can verify some how, but I will be going to the service center and figure out how come they never added it to my account.

    Thanks for this video. I've only had my Model Y for about three weeks now. I have already seen savings similar to what you have mentioned in your video. I drove a Jeep Wrangler getting only 14 mpg so my savings driving my Tesla is a little higher. So far looks like a great investment.

    Great video and very informative!
    I’ve been looking at buying an electric vehicle and I’m very close to taking the plunge. I just wish I had a true side by side comparison that included the cost of replacing the Tesla battery and the actual range capacity over time due to battery degradation and Tesla’s 80% charging recommendation.
    It’s impossible to get an answer from Tesla but they say the technology is advancing in battery capacity and range.

    Nice video! Did I miss the cents / per KW that you were charged? Can't you tell it to just charge to 80% which would save plug-in time and still give you plenty of miles in the tank? Perhaps another video.

    Great video man, new sub here. Question do you live in Cali? I am in Cental Florida and I don't think we have variable rates on electricity... yet

    • @DanielsBrew
      @DanielsBrew  3 года назад

      Thanks! I'm in the pacific northwest - but if you're in florida, your rates will obviously be different. And Cali is one of the highest rates for elec usage so this analysis may not be as advantageous in that state.

    Thanks for your information on charging costs for EV vehicles. Very well explained.
    I am retired and plan to get an EV vehicle end of 2023 or into 2024 and will only be for driving around town and only charging at home. So hopefully I should get some good monthly savings compared to my ICE car.
    Thanks and take care.

    Would it be good for gig work 250 to 350 miles daily guessing that would wear out batteries fast ? Do you know the cuncumption when parked with heat or air conditioning running?

  • @palmharbor097
    @palmharbor097 3 года назад +3

    It's hard to claim savings of $2,000 a year if you don't keep track of the miles that you are driving. Not a bad video but it still doesn't give a good comparison of gas vs electric without knowing the mileage that was driven. A repeat video with the exact miles driven would be perfect.

    • @DanielsBrew
      @DanielsBrew  3 года назад +1

      That's a fair point - and sadly, I didn't not keep track of the miles I drove in my ICE vehicles to compare. But even so - I'm willing to bet the savings would still be pretty high!

    Good video. I heard that my account should list all the superchargers I've gone to along with cost, kwh charged, miles, etc but I haven't been able to find this. How can I see a history of my supercharging on trips? Thanks.

    • @DanielsBrew
      @DanielsBrew  3 года назад

      Hi there - if you log into your Tesla account on your computer (not on your phone), and go to your account page, there is a tab called "Charging" and if you click into that tab, it shows you a record of all of your supercharging instances. Hope that helps!

    • @AstralVerse90
      @AstralVerse90 3 года назад

      @@DanielsBrew Hi Daniel, just want to make sure, is 8 cents include all the fees and tax? If i divided the total amount i paid monthly by the total monthly kwh, im getting about 14 cents, which is quite a big difference

    • @AstralVerse90
      @AstralVerse90 3 года назад +1

      @@DanielsBrew $1.76 per night with 8 cents per kwh, so charing the model y 2 hours per night is using about 22 kwh.

    • @DanielsBrew
      @DanielsBrew  3 года назад +1

      Hi Avery, I didn't add the taxes in my calculation - I was just trying to measure only the consumption amount for the charging of my model Y.

    • @Hogger280
      @Hogger280 2 года назад +2

      @@AstralVerse90 Taxes are usually small. The largest charge is the monthly base charge (for me $9 per month) but you are going to pay that whether you charge a car or not so really the cost to charge is the incremental KWH usage.
