This theme is so immersive. Imagine the alert in your base. Soldiers running out of their quaters, taking guns, gears, and equipments while heading to the transporter. I loved it every time! "Let's kick some alien butts!"
This is xcom's theme, hands down. This is THE song you always remember. It's the one that no matter how many times you hear it, it sends a tingle down your spine as you meticulously prepare your troops, not knowing who, if anyone will survive. You send them off and prey this mission isn't the one the drives the final nail in your Classic/Ironman campaign's coffin.

I was actually going to try to find the vanilla XCOM 2 equivalent of this track but I decided I'd give this one a listen again and it hit me straight in my heart. I love that game so very very much

@@Ogugua-k1w I'm afraid I have to respectfully disagree. Every time I heard the F1 theme, I couldn't lay my finger on what it reminded me of... Has been bugging me for years until today I realized the truth: It's this and the XCom2 squad selection themes. Such great pieces of music. Made my week!
Love this song!! You can feel the urgency as your soldiers are gearing up for what may be their last mission, yet at the same time they know they're the only thing standing between extraterrestrials and civilians. Epic!!
Audio is one of the strongest elemtns in this game. Epic tracks. Even after finishing the game on normal dificulty and restarting the game like 20 times on classic with ironman till i get enough skills to get to lategame i still find selecting squad a pleasure to do it. This game really has "that thing" in it. Now time for impossible with ironman.
Had this in my head this morning as I straightened my suit jacket, tugged out my shirt cuffs and put on my watch. READY TO LAUNCH oh wait I'm just taking the train to work :(
What I love about this theme os that there is feel of mystery embedded in it. An enigma in the background of the battle hype: It heightens this sense of we are going to war with all we got. But...the enemy is Alien. Unknown"
One of the reasons this game is so great to me, right here. Having battle music en site when you see an enemy really sets a mood that draws you in, no matter how many sectoids you've killed.
Now there is no turning back. May god be with them all...... Gotta say this, this is the only inter-mission scene in any game EVER that I NEVER skipped, not even once (or maybe once otherwise I wouldn't know you could skip it). I never get bored of this.

This song is just about perfect for an 'outfitting your troops' pre-game thing, I don't think I've ever heard a better theme for it. I want to play this every morning as I get up and drive to classes so I feel pumped and ready to rock.
Every CIA movie, every thing involving some kind of secret organization that is 'good' will always have a theme similar to this at least starting at the 0:33 mark.
