- The "First Wave Soundtrack" is what I call Michael McCann's uploaded tracks for XCOM on his website, or specifically the ones that have some form of noticeably different parts compared to the release versions in some capacity.
Just finished the first game a little over a week ago, and this was always my favorite track. From beginning to end, this song is there to sing a constant reminder of the fucking legendary grit these soldiers must have. These men and women are humanity’s very finest, and are the first and last line of defense against this extraterrestrial terror.
“Good luck, Commander.”
I use this song as my alarm clock.
*Alarm goes off*
Hang on! I gotta get my Titan armor and light plasma rifle!
*A L I E N A C T I V I T Y*
haha awesome
lock and load right out of the box
One day you will turn the alarm clock off but the song keeps playing.
25% chance to get up
I listened to this kind of music before I start my day
This version has more 'depth' imo. Quite nice :)!
Wasn't aware of this version. Very nice.
Memories....i love soundtracks from all XCOM games But this one is my favourite
4:00 fuck it,im gonna play XCOM enemy unknown all over again...i Just can t stand this anymore
OMG, how have I never heard of this version?! THIS IS AMAZING.
This should have played in a critical mission like avenger defence"Comander we canot let this operation get away from us, even if it means sending our wounded forces back into combat.we have to succeeed at all costs"and as it played your vets stepted forward in line, some limping(like when they are slightly or medium wounded), their armors bearing signs of previous plasma shots, all faces serious and filled with determination
That woulda been perfect for Ashes and Temples, or for Operation Avenger.
You now see this face and can never unsee it. : I
The fact they made this avalaible in the second game if you choose is amazing!
When I first heard it, it was simply a good song, but after several of my soldiers were killed, I realized that the song was a master piece.
OMG. So awesome.
I still remember first time I heard this song and feels like I'm doing something important, vital and bigger than my life and i need to be the best of me to save everyone.
Even in the final mission, I sent the best of the best and even the worst universe has to send us, it was crushed without mercy and the Stars heard the Humankind Roar... and they get in silence, knowing they have awaken a sleeping dragon.
I put this on before going for an exams :P
That moment when you get into an internet argument with Bradford, you insult his precious sweater, so he sends an Xcom squad to your house, and this theme starts playing when they started gearing up.
One sniper, two HMG, two shotguns and one medic
One of each. Long live “Army of Four” and Ironman Impossible difficulty.
Skyranger, ready to deploy!
Great...
Okay boys !!rock and load !!
Man, it has 0 bad reviews... I can see why!
Doing the final mission with 20 of my remaining rebel cell. 1/4 of them sporting old wounds and carrying more grenades than usual because they were expendable at that point. We only had one shot to win or lose it all.
2020 squad let's go
LISTEN TO IT IN 1.5 SPEED
OMG ITS AMAZING
who's watching in 2018?
Bruh....2019
LeadBed Bruh... 2020.
2020, my boiz
"К высадке готов Штурм-1"
А потом народ еще спрашивает: "Почему 2 часть - говно?" "Штурм-1" или "Подстрекатель", какие могут быть вопросы
far better than xcom2...
who's watching this in 1765?
I feel that comment on many layers, thanks for the smile
@@InstantDecon
I don't.
this makes for some intense bong hit background music ... HQ, STRIKE 420 IS GREEN LIGHT
Honestly, all these "first wave" tracks feel too crowded and messy. The in-game version is a lot better for being more focused on the actual moment of kitting up and deploying, and not so much on the heroism to come.
Disagree.
They're different. But comparing them is like comparing apples to oranges.
Well put :) the in game version was just right in my opinion, this serves as a nice *Alt* version, and as such does it's own job in a very nice way
I love the song, but yeah, it's bit too bombastic for regular deployment. It would be great for a final mission/fight.
One person lost all their squad on their first deployment.
And now there are no dislikes.
@@Feningor he just reloaded his save.
