- So in this video I talk about three companies that, in my opinion, are the best and most reliable for purchasing formicaria as well as other ant-keeping supplies. Sorry for omitting many other companies, I only included companies I've had direct experience with.

Sharp12 I'm currently under the impression that is the case. I checked the link and had the same thing! Personally I recommend tar heel ants! I haven't bought from AntsCanada Tarheel ants or ByFormica but I'm a big fan of antscanada so I always recommend them but after doing some research I've found Tarheel is a much better option!
Yeah I bought quite a bit of stuff from THA last week. I messaged byformica and found our he is doing an overhaul on his product line. He's going to be releasing some new formicariums soon. But what it sounds like is probably next year...

I know this video is a bit dated, but its still like one of the only advisory videos on youtube explaining where/who to buy formicariums from. I've been looking at buying one and this is what I've found so far. Byformica looks to be defunct or at least not selling anything other than food and feeders anymore, THA's formicaria are expensive AF and look great when people first get them but look like shit about a year later, Ants Canada formicaria cost about 4x what you can get other similar products for. I'm still searching for a nice formicarium to buy, I might end up ordering the "AFK-8.1" from ants russia, but the distance and month long shipping has discouraged me from committing to it. If anyone else has other more recent suggestions I'd love to hear it.

Hey, I'm keeping an acorn ant colony (about 20 or so workers plus a queen.) I want to move them out of their acorn, and into a formicarium where i can observe them. What would you suggest for the tiny little guys.
Look at one of tarheelants or antscanadas smaller formicariums. They both make formicaria specifically for small species.
