Harley Allen died recently. God bless him. He was an absolutely brilliant songwriter, author of The Baby, Stray Dogs and Alley Cats, Simple Life, Awful, Beautiful Life, The Little Girl, and many other famous and beautiful country songs. When my son Andy first came to Nashville, Harley gave him a break and included him in his band. He saw talent and supported it. May he rest in peace.
