I remember watching Harley play all day in a bluegrass band with Mike Lilly at Jack's Bar on East 5th St on the 4th of July back in 1990. Good times, good music. :)
I got a rare chance to meet Harley back in the early '90s. I was stunned at his energy. Saw him first at Canal St. when he WALKED up on stage with Alison Kraus...i thought? who would just DO that??:) She was elated to have him, i found a picture last night of him from then. He showed up at a house of a friends and i happened to pick up the guitar that night, when they all were playing, he made me feel like i could play...:) I am still trying to grasp his early departure~ bless his family!
Reminds me of the days in parkside homes when clara would make biscuits and gravy with pepsi .neal harley greg and I would enjoy on a summer sat.morn in 1971.joe gibbs.

My husband grew up with the Allen brothers
This guy cracks me up. Great song, but I have to admit I watch this particular video over and over just for the intro. Good stuff.
RIP HArley

Joe Gibbs...you knew my husband. Don C.
Saw these guys at Puckett's in Franklin. Pretty funny act.
He doesn't look 52 years old. Too bad he died of lung cancer
