What a great watch that was Andy, really enjoyed it and makes me want to try your route next time I am up Haystacks, as I think it would be idea for my grandson. I have always gone up the nose of Fleetwith Pike first and then passed the tarns to the summit of Haystacks and down the way you came up. Some stunning shots captured and a very nice pen and ink as well! Cheers Alan
Catching up with your videos has been really enjoyable Andy. Stunning photography & Your drawing now hangs in my study. One of my first fells that I climbed & brought back happy memories, many thanks for sharing.
Such a fabulous video Andy, I watched it twice. I also loved the detailed Wainwright connection and to see the original photos that your drawings were based on.
Hi Keith, thanks for the comment. I would leave High Crag and do it on another walk taking in Red Pike and High Stile. Thats a fabulous ridge walk in its own right.
Loved the photos Andy , what camera settings did you use , if you don't mind me asking . Have done Haystacks and Fleetwith Pike several times , always a good walk , whatever the weather . Thanks , David Thompson of Carlisle .
Lovely video, I've put off Haystacks for 2 years as I'm wondering if we would be biting off more than we can chew but we've done Skiddaw now and Catbells a couple of times so Haystacks is a must with those views 👍🏻
What a fantastic video. So relaxed and informative.
Thank you, kind of you to comment.
We’ve been to the Lakes for the last eight years and never knew about this. Thank you.

Thanks Chris. Glad that you enjoyed it, especially the Wainwirght connection. :)
Some great shots Andy. A really good description of the route. Cheers. Eddie.
Thank you Eddie
brill video Andy! Wanted to ask if there are any pool formations in those waterfalls on your way down?
Hi Andy, great set of videos, is it possible to detour up to high crag or would you advise to do Haystacks on its own ? Keith

Reminded me of the two times I have climbed Haystacks. Lovely images and perfect commentary. How do you get such great images? Thanks.
Thank you for the kind comment. Yes it is a fab location and I was lucky with the weather, hence the quality of the light in the photographs.

Thank you for the comment. If you have done those fells then I dont see you having a problem with Haytacks if you use this route. Have fun.
