Abbie I keep coming back to this video, not only because it’s informative but for the little section you did whilst eating your apple. People should try to learn more of what they are waking through and understand there’s more to looking in the distance
The Lake District is such a picturesque place to visit. Not ventured up any of the peaks as yet though. Watching your content is certainly inspiring me to visit again. Keep up the great work and positivity.
What could be better on a chiily, grey Monday morning in East Dorset than sitting with a cup of coffee and a biscuit being transported to a sunny fell walk with Abbie. Such an infectious smile and so enthusiastic, with beautiful views, it makes a great start to the week. Many thanks.
We did the same walk today after watching your video, haystacks truly is the best .we going back again shortly ,if you ain’t been ,I would advise you visit this beautiful place
Great video. Me and the wife Just done the circular this Saturday just gone. It was very frosty and windy but the views are spectacular and a great lal challenge. Started editing my video yesterday cant wait to watch it back and hopefully we can do it again in summer. (Toilets are now 50p) 🤣
Enjoyed your walk very much Abbie, all done with a wonderful constant smile on your face. Like you I did this walk many years ago with my dad and a couple of times since then. Thankyou.
A lovely film and glorious walk. Haystacks is my favourite of favourites. I've been up and down a few times. Lovely to hear you mention AJW. I am the proud owner of all his guide books and have used many of them during my walks. Bless you Abbie for bringing back hundreds of memories.
Me and my other half are going camping in Lakes on Monday and thanks to your videos I have a list of hikes/walks we want to do. Thank you for inspiring us! Your videos are so much better than just reading a description in a guide book.
Abbie she is so awesome and inspireds me to get outside A lot which l have been doing even when it's raining because it's really good just walk around the park or just do some hiking it's clears the mind
Really dont know how I missed this, what a great, well made, enthralling video, Abbie for sure you are a credit to your generation m-dear,well done you. Thanks for sharing Abbie and stay safe, Liked & subbed.
Lake buttermere with my wife and dog June 22 was one of those days that has a special place in my heart forever. One of not that many. As an adult anyway
Another great video Abbie , as usual - just one tiny gripe- there are only 2 named lakes in the district - Lake Windermere and Bassenthwaite Lake, all the others are "waters" or "meres" . That said ,the farmer's wife were I am lucky enough to have a "sited caravan" in Threlkeld, always refers to Derwentwater as "Keswick Lake" , so much so that I now follow her lead and call it the same !😆Keep on filming Abbie and I hope your achy knee recovers quickly !
I really enjoyed your video. My wife and I are Americans that met at Lancaster Uni years ago. We love visiting the Lakes and have hiked Haystacks a couple of times. Watching your video really brought back great memories. Thanks again.
I did this in September 2020 - weather was good going up, but then it started to rain, and the summit was covered in clouds so I couldn't look down on Buttermere and Crummockwater. Just gives me a reason to go back!
What a great video really enjoyed that 30 minutes just flew by, your enthusiasm shines through very professionally made. The scenery round the Lake district is beautiful.
Abbie what a wonderful video that took me back to "MY" favourite place. I've been up Haystacks and the surrounding fells many times guiding friends and family. Camped there many times and have some wonderful memories of evenings in the pubs. I now have arthritis in both knees and can't do the walks and climbs I used to do anymore but this video has taken me back and put a big smile on my face. Thanks for that. PS I follow you on Facebook as well as RUclips keep up the good work you really are a breath of fresh air XX
Thanks Andrew! Sorry to hear you can't get to the same places but thank you for letting me share them with you online. Great to walk with you! Take care and stay WILD. Abbie
An excellent presentation. Knowledge, enthusiasm and passion. How does it feel to be surrounded by such beauty?? The impact can be overwhelming and the emotion..... you have unashamedly gone some way to expressing. I wish i could do that.
I did the same hike on my own a couple of weeks ago after watching this video. So far my favourite in the Lake District. You really captured the beauty and the peace of this place. Thanks for sharing your walks.
Nice, we are off this weekend to the lakes to walk and fish. We are going to climb Scarfell Pyke! We walked/climbed Ben Nevis last year and that was mentally challenging where as the year before we climbed Snowdon and I found that more physically. I’m so looking forward to it. 😊 Thanks for this video.
Really love seeing your videos. Some of the walks I have done and seeing what you do makes me feel pleased as it does you. Safe walking and long may you do it. Do you know I now know where I left my sunglasses........................ only kidding. They look good. X
A other great watch and interesting to watch it this way around, as I normally go down the way you came up. Great weather again, the sun seems to follow you, cheers Alan
Enjoyed the video journey very much Abble. Used to camp at Gatesgarth in the 70's, Buttermere didn't seem quite as busy as it is these days but such is progress. Have you ever visited where Fanny Mercer fell in 1887?, unfortunately she fell down the steep ridge of Fleetwith Pike and never recovered from her injuries. The cross is still there, overlooking the field at Gatesgarth, as a warning to others. Take care and well done.
Thanks for this Abbie. I bagged Haystacks around 5 years ago along mostly the same route. I actually dropped my expensive weatherproof map around the place you found the sunglasses but didn't realise (perhaps it's old Alfred's way of keeping a piece of fellow wanderers there, by pinching a bit of kit 🤔). Sadly, I also lost my mojo just after doing this walk and haven't been out treking for a long while. I'm hoping your videos will get me back on track! 🙂👍
One of the best Ive done in the lakes, Haystacks, glad you mentioned Wainwright Abbie, it was his favourite. Enjoying your vids whilst on lock up, hopefully I can get back up to the mountains soon. I hope you can do Tryfan and Crib Goch at some point.
Thanks for this video Abbie - it was really useful. I am going to Buttermere in a few days to do some photography and some vlogs. I will give your channel a shout out. Cheers.
Such a beautiful place. I think when we go up next year we will just have a casual walk around the lake , looks so tranquil. You should've had a piece of cake, you deserved it!
Thanks for this video! We did Haystacks yesterday but left it quite late in the day to start, meaning we had scramble down the side in the pitch black... which when you don’t know the route, was quite terrifying!! Because the drop to the left looked like an abyss 😨 so it was quite interesting to watch your vlog and see what we did in but in daylight!! Safe to say we won’t be doing it in the dark again. We’ve learnt our lesson- start earlier!!! Thanks again for the video!
Excellent video that once again brought back happy memories. The walk to Haystacks via Buttermere is indeed a fantastic walk and standing by Wainwright's last resting place at Innominate Tarn (not sure if I spelt that correctly) is, strangely, quite emotional. Thank you.
Buttermere Lake - I've been in this place with family and friends. A gentle walk around the lake with amazing views in every angle. I wonder if drone is allowed to fly over the area. We are going back there this April 🙂 - New subscriber here!
Did the haystacks on my C2C. Had to backtrack from Black Sale YHA as the beck route was impassible. Was a brutal climb in wet weather. Most of the paths you came down were streams at that point. Still worth it :-)
The whole trip was epic. And so were the people along the way. That was a genuine surprise how open and friendly other hikers on the route were. I'd intended to solo it, but kept bumping into the same faces so we naturally fell in step :-)
Such an inspiration, this was one of my fav videos, excellent videos Abbie. Have you done a video on Snowdon yet as I have seen lakes and Ben Nevis. Enjoy your next adventure
What a wonderful channel, your my inspiration to get out and walk , not only for the stunning views but to stimulate the mind positively which I’m now doing, so thank you. Have you tried marine collagen for your knee? It’s really helped mine to recover
2:34! Thank you! Someone who knows the value of money! Everything is being made exclusive for the wealthy these days, also known as gentrification. The NPs in the US are becoming ridiculously expensive to enter. At least this is just a car park. Maybe you could have parked elsewhere and walked in to save yourself the fine?
Looks awesome! Would love to this hike next year if we are going to Scotland as we are planning a stop for 2 days at the Lake District. Can the route be found online and can you take your dog?
Hi Abbie you are a great inspiration to me, I am just getting over cancer and intend to climb Bennevis to raise money for cancer research and give something back, as a starter any advice would be great x

Brilliant walking, spent today at Buttermere with our three daughters. We will follow this trail next year, thanks again Abbie.

i got to the top of haystacks today after a 4h trek and now have sore legs
Another superb hiking video! Mind blowing scenery! Thank you so much again Abbie!
Thanks for watching!!

Stunningly beautiful. Please never stop making Lake District videos, yours are by far the best. 😁
I'm satying about 20 miles away from Buttermere as I type this. Will definitely be visiting this weekend. Love the content!
Am just loving these Lake District videos. The Lakes also have a special place in my heart - I so get you on that one. Great video and well done! 👏👏
Glad you are enjoying them! Thanks for watching!
Your videos are so well done, very polished and professional. This was a great adventure, thank you for sharing. Take care.
Thank you for following the adventure!
Cheers abbie, love haystacks
Perfect way to spend a day. Really enjoyed your video.
Thanks for watching!
I really enjoyed your video. My wife and I are Americans that met at Lancaster Uni years ago. We love visiting the Lakes and have hiked Haystacks a couple of times. Watching your video really brought back great memories. Thanks again.

Hey there Abbie, another inspiring and uplifting piece to add to the collection, enjoyed it very much!
Glad you liked it! Thanks for following!
I did that walk in 2007 so long ago, one of my faves ! Thanks again Abbie for the upload TC Kenny 🙏🏼
Time to go again me thinks :)
Great film.

Love Buttermere too. One of my favourite spots in the lakes. Sat many times by the shore relaxing like you did. Great times.
Great times indeed!

I discovered your channel this evening. I have watched Ben Nevis, Scafell Pike and now Haystacks. I have fallen in love with you.
Love your videos abbie, living life how it should be lived in the most beautiful place.
An excellent presentation. Knowledge, enthusiasm and passion.

I wish i could do that.
Well you make it so much fun abbie

Your welcome makes you just won't to get up and go 😀
Another great one Abbie. Thanks for showing us. I might give it a go when I visit the Lake District next May.
Do it!! Enjoy! :)
Beautiful hike . Really enjoyed this. Had to watch it twice.
Boom! Thank you!!

Beautiful backdrop with the lake and mountains.
Great video, thanks. Nice filming as well as narrative.
Careful where you walk on Haystacks - Wainwright's ashes are up there somewhere. Great video.
Another brilliant video, Haystacks on my to do list very soon.
You had great weather, fabulous views once again, superb video Abbie, makes me feel like I was there!
Sure was lucky. Great to share it with you!

Great days hike Abbie, its a lovely part of the Lakes atb Dave
Sure is. Thanks for watching!
Another great video, Haystacks was my first Wainwright followed the same route as you. Looks like you had a great stay in the lakes :)
Fabulous Abbie! I'm staying a week in Buttermere in June so I'll definitely be doing this walk. Absolutely gorgeous! So excited x

Beautiful Abbie.
Another great day out with you nice work thanks
Great video Abbie
Hitting haystacks in October...cant wait
Somewhere in that area above Buttermere is where Roger Daltry climbed the mountain at the end of Tommy. I’ve got to see it someday!
Such a great channel, girl. Well-done! It’s like
being there with you and your commentary is just spot on
Buttermere Lake - I've been in this place with family and friends. A gentle walk around the lake with amazing views in every angle. I wonder if drone is allowed to fly over the area. We are going back there this April 🙂 - New subscriber here!

some awsome views there, camping there would be a dream
Just found your channel, your videos are made really well - keep it up!
Welcome to the tribe! Thanks for the comment and watching!
Such an inspiration, this was one of my fav videos, excellent videos Abbie. Have you done a video on Snowdon yet as I have seen lakes and Ben Nevis. Enjoy your next adventure

Great video, I wondered where I left my sunglasses
Hi Abbie! When are you going to post your West Highland Way video? I've recently done it and am looking forward to seeing your journey!
Hi May, not for a few months yet. Got a whopping great back log of edits to get through but stay tuned for the preview!
Super video Abbie thanks...I't's the descents that get me now but I find walking poles helpful....have you tried them?
Yes, I don't tend to carry them as I just pick up a stick if I think I'll need one. But they can be very useful when used right :) Thanks!
very nice video .
Thanks for watching!
Nice
Stay wild!!
Shouldn't we all, Ola!!! Cheers!
Nice one Abbie 💐 ⛰️🤸❤️
2:34! Thank you! Someone who knows the value of money! Everything is being made exclusive for the wealthy these days, also known as gentrification. The NPs in the US are becoming ridiculously expensive to enter. At least this is just a car park. Maybe you could have parked elsewhere and walked in to save yourself the fine?
I've got a dodgey left knee too. Have you considered trekking poles? Especially to take the weight off from the descent.
Looks awesome!
Would love to this hike next year if we are going to Scotland as we are planning a stop for 2 days at the Lake District.
Can the route be found online and can you take your dog?
When your knee plays up you should try having a dip or a wild swim , it will cool down your joints and muscles.
Hi Abbie you are a great inspiration to me, I am just getting over cancer and intend to climb Bennevis to raise money for cancer research and give something back, as a starter any advice would be great x
Another great Video. What video camera do you use?
This was A GOPRO 3+ Silver and my phone :)
Free sunglasses - woo-hoo!
I had sunglasses like those from McDonald's
✊👌😊(Poland).
charging for the toilet really annoys me
Your voice makes me think of a female Bear Grylls 😂
That National trust car park in Buttermere is a rip off ....but which national trust property isn't ?
Could do without this type music, pick voiceless. YOYO maybe. No voice.
