Honestly the fit and finish on these is oustanding for the price! I got a few classic vibes that had QC problems but the tele deluxe I got (the same as yours) is flawless! I mean look how tightis that neck pocket!
I did get the blue and she plays great. I see ya like whammy bars. I did not even put mine on. I bend strings with my fingers. But to each there own. As I said mine plays great. I play a lot of country and rockabilly stuff. She dose that real good. Love the pick ups. Keep up the good work.
I saw a video with the blue one later and liked it a lot more. Those stock photos are terrible sometimes. Glad you like it! Haha I wanted to see if it would stay in tune when I used it but I’ll admit it does make things easier sometimes 😁.
Hey Kyle, HAPPY BIRTHDAY!! Sweet looking guitar brother! The grain on that fret board is nice! As is the neck but that fret board really appeals to me. Enjoy your Jazzmaster and look forward to you playing it more. Hope you had a killer birthday man. Take care !
Happy birthday buddy...this was a really good video. When I’m on Sweetwater trying to buy one you know it’s a good video. I actually really like the finish on that guitar.
Happy, happy birthday, Kyle! Your collection is shaping up nicely! You do such a nice job reviewing these guitars that I feel a little like it's new guitar day for me too. I am surprised at how good those Affinity Jazzmaster pickups sound. They have that good combination of fullness and bite that I associate with Jazzmasters. If you have played one with a rhythm circuit, do you find that you miss it on this one? About a year ago I sprang for the Classic Vibe Jazzmaster, and I have been slowly upgrading it ever since. I shimmed the neck to get a better bridge break angle, replaced the pickups with Pure Vintage '65s, and put in Fender 1 meg pots. I may at some point replace the stock bridge and tremolo system with Mastery, but that would cost about as much as my initial outlay on the guitar. Hopefully the bridge pickup will grow on you. I am sure you will have a blast with that new beast!
Thanks! Glad to share, I have a ton of fun making these. I haven’t played many JMs before but after playing this one I’m really interested in trying one with the rhythm circuit and the JM trem. I’ll try to get my hands on one. I’ve been tempted by that CV and J Mascis for awhile but just never got around to picking one up. I’m digging this one so there may be more JMs I the future haha.
@@onemoreguitarchannel You and I seem to have similar taste in guitars (I have been seriously crushing on your Flying V since you got it), so I think Jazzmasters may grow on you as they have on me.
@@scottmacphee35 I love that V! Yesterday I said “I need to take a break from buying guitars so I can spend more time with the V” haha! I was actually kind of shocked at how much I like the JM. I thought why have I never tried this?? It’s all I’m playing right now outside of making videos.
For the price this Affinity Jazzmaster is killer. The skunkstripe feels kinda rough and is not sanded good. The ceramic pickups can sound harsh. You can tame them by lowering the pickups and use flatwound strings. The Tuners are okay when you tighten the headscrew of the tuner. Yesterday i wanted to change the pickups with the J Mascis Pickups and ended up in a mess. The affintiy jazzmaster pickups have two cables and the j mascis one. If someone is interestes....i made some videos about the affinity jazzmaster and the absolutely shitty Fender USA Pro II Jazzmaster. Save your money and buy this affinity or 6 of them.
Happy Birthday Kyle, what a nice BD gift too, I really like the look of the fretboard it's one of the nicest I've seen so far. How's the neck feel, is it more on the thin side or more on the chunkier side? Also, my first lefty guitar a CV 50s Telecaster has a skunk stripe but it's slightly popping out, have you had any similar problems or heard of other skunk stripes popping out?
Thanks! I was pumped it showed up when it did haha. It’s a straight up C neck, I like them a little thicker usually but this one is not too thin - very comfortable. I’ve never had a skunk stripe pop out. I did a quick search and didn’t like what I found. Most people say sand or send it back. I’ll see what else I can find out about it.
Hi Kyle, just got a email from Fender on their new "Players Plus" series. It seems like Fender could have done these features on a guitar before now because there's nothing that hasn't been already put out there.
@@hwnfrd Yeah I’m checking them out now, may put together a quick video. I have mixed feeling about them too. It’s cool they have added some of these features and colors but I feel like they’re getting close to Pro II prices. I guess if you were in the market for an Ultra it’s more savings. Also, been asking around about the skunk stripe. Pretty much the only answer I’ve heard is you will have to get someone to look at it.
@@onemoreguitarchannel Looks like I will just have to get used to the feeling of a popped out skunk stripe because I live in Hawaii and the cost to send it out and return postage is going to cost me almost as much as what I paid for the guitar originally. Thanks for the research and information.
Happy Birthday Kyle, great Video as always! Just wondering....ordered the exact same JM after I felt in Love with the Squier Aff. 2021 - Thought the JM has P90s, because I wanted a less twangy Tone - Do you think the JM will sound the same as you wrote? Or is there a significant JM Tone to it for less twangier 60s MidGain Lead Tones? Cheers Jon 🙏🏼🔥
Thanks! It’s a bit tricky with this particular guitar, I feel like the pickups have a little more punch than a typical JM. I’ve seen several folks say that the way they wind these pickups is closer to a P90 than a JM pickup but I’m not sure about that. Either way, it doesn’t seem too twangy to me. The middle position has some tele-like quality but is a little warmer. The bridge pickup will be bright as usual but it’s easy to tame with the tone knob. Hope this helps, congrats on the new guitar!
so the JM Pickups are hotter, more Highs, less Bass and about the same Mids. As far as I play, the JM is better for MidCrunch or Showgaze Highs, the Neck plays better than the Squier Aff. Tele, its the same Neck but it just plays juicier. Tuff choice now which one will stay, because the Sound is about the same as you said. 🙏🏼
i also got this guitar for my birthday! I love it.
HAPPY BIRTHDAY DUDE!
Happy Birthday!

hi! did this guitar come with the necessary cables to put into a amp?? thinking of getting this for my daughter!
It doesn’t come with the cable, you will need a guitar cable with a 1/4” jack (standard guitar cable). Hope this helps!
