Immigration limbo: Man discovers he isn't a citizen after decades

To all people who live in the US
- If you’re born in America then you should have a birth certificate .
- If you’re born abroad to a US parents then you should have a certificate of citizenship
- If you’re a refugee or immigrant who came to America and then became a US citizen then you should have a certificate of naturalization .
If you don’t have one of the 3 above then you’re not a US citizen

Joining the military and taking "oath" there doesn’t mean immediate citizenship. Plus, foreigners shouldn’t even be allowed to serve in military. That’s just my opinion.
