I love the choice to not saturate these kinds of videos with music. Calvin does a great job of capturing the mind numbing monotony that lays ahead for a champ like Chris. The long suffering mental fortitude required (and of course, physical) is mind blowing.

The type of filming being capture here is a documentary type style filming. it’s Live, none of it is staged.
The videographer is doing a phenomenal job in creating a story with the footage, it’s not meant to be completely stabilized every shot.
There’s obviously going to be camera shake, wiggle, etc.
In order to produce a stabilized video, you’re looking at around 3-4 person crew at the minimum. Focus puller, audio , gaffer , camera operator / planned shots.
Stop hating on this man’s craft when you have absolutely no idea what you’re talking about.

Then to edit it in post. You think the guy just picks up a camera and clicks a button and that’s it?

@Thundercock Again you have no idea a clue about filmmaking, you can’t use a gimbal the whole shoot. When you need to turn quickly or grab focus it’s not going to work.
You can’t rig any external, mics, filters, lights, etc on a gimbal without support.
I can go on for days, if it’s so simple go do it lol

Firstly - I just wanna say good luck to Chris. With that being said, I appreciate him being able / willing to still show his day to day leading to the Olympia. The most stressful day of the year for him. You could tell he’s exhausted but he’s still showing us love. Truly grateful for that. He also showing everyone that this sport is more than just lifting. I couldn't imagine just this part of the olympia alone. Imagine going through decades of work in the gym, having 3 years of pressure on your shoulders, nonstop eyes on you, then weeks of the most physically and mentally draining cut imaginable, then 72 straight hours of meet and greets and being in front of people while feeling like absolute shit. Different level man. I'm surprised the organizers don't give them more alone time and seclusion.

They maxed out their weight cap which is insane

He isn’t 6’2”. He’s 6’ 1/2”. Look at his video with Calum Von Moger. He has not grown heightwise since then. Impossible due to the closure of growth plates. Exogenous excess testosterone speeds up that process. He’s late 20s and people really believe this man gained 2 inches of height over the years. If that were true he’d have gained weight from the height alone as his frame, bones and organs all increase along with it
@@TheWingmanPro Yeah he's 6'0.5ft no more, maybe 6'0.25ft at night, he's just stretching his vertebrae spine in order to get that inch more that you lose during the day plus water depletion. He's also using an inversion table to get the most height for his measurement, it's temporary but doing that for weeks helps restoring most of your height loss even with really heavy weight training, so good for everyone imo

Man, I feel Chris is like fuck the meet and greet, but at the same time he wants to be nice because he's actually that guy. Shoutout - hoping you bring it home, 4X CHAMP. Followed the buildup and you put the work in now it's time you get what you deserve. All of you following CBum, Urs, ANYONE in the buildup to the Olympia need to remember how hard this is to do. After that weigh in clip, I can see where the weigh in controversies come from. They took into account Chris’ hair, which stood up higher than the actual top of his head. They hardly pressed down on his hair. If he had a shaved head, that top cap of the measuring device would have been placed lower, thus resulting in a shorter overall height.

Perhaps it's by accident but this felt produced with the cinematic style telling the story. The second half with Chris alone in the gym - shows that, minutes away from perhaps his 4th championship, he walks this path alone. His coach quiet. His movements careful but exhausted.
The entire episode - just really well done. Really enjoying this series leading up to the Olympia. Very well done.
