Just got inspected in Arkansas, three officers went over my truck, inside and out. Not a single violation.❤️ Pretrips, and having a DOT certified mechanic comb my equipment on Monday, saved my bacon. They are looking for (1) elog compliance (2) brakes, tires, airlines (3) anything missing, broke, lose, and leaking. Also anything visually “off” on trucks. That’s 2 hours I’ll never get back on my logbook.
    Just a heads up.

You don't run the 1st 12 hours of the Nationwide DOT extravaganza.. when they are rabid to find the smallest thing. Most states have shut down in 24 hours.. and have peter'ed out by 12 hours in. I've gotten tickets for "brake out of adjustment" .. when I had automatic slack adjusters that had no issues. If you don't like paying tickets for chickenshxx... Stay away from the inexperienced Troopers while they are being pressured to find something.

My fiance and I have a three-year-old daughter and she was told she was never going to be able to have children but we ended up with a beautiful daughter. She has stepped out to be the most amazing mom and it's like it's totally natural to her she just fell right into the role of ultimate Mom right away. Mothers do a lot and I know some people don't give them the recognition they deserve but how sometimes I can be that way but without her I don't think I can handle being a single dad. She is a blessing as well as our daughter.

26:11 trailer abs light will have a consistent 5vdc. This is a reference voltage that is absorbed to let the trailer abs module know that a light is installed. It will only have 12vdc upon key on or if there is a trailer abs issue.

Also a little advice to the new drivers out there don’t suck up to those inspectors. They don’t want to talk to you nor do they wanna fuck with you but they have too. You make their life easy and they’ll make your life easy.
Do a proper pre trip, listen for air leaks, give them the proper paperwork in a binder because they love a organized driver, follow instructions, be respectful and DONT MAKE SMALL TALK. Act like you’ve been there before.. They don’t wanna be your friend lol.

Hey Tim watch your unassigned drive time when not logged in. A DOT officer can see the truck moved without a active driver and assign that time to the driver. The log function should have a place for the driver to reject the unassigned drive time prior to his trip. Also be sure the drivers are certifying their logs daily. It shows the officer they are on top of it.

That's why you pull your rig off the road for preventive maintenance if you can and take a short vacation while it's happening. Sounds like the regulatory auditors in my line of work when they show up and if you're clean they stay longer because you just HAVE to be guilty of something they can fine you for. I've seen financial auditors stick around for weeks beyond their normal schedule because they can't take any more money out of your pocket for any legit errors.

Center, "blue wire" is always constant for a.b.s./meritor system, black/brown is power for markers, green/yellow turn, white ground. Abs should have constant power and only illuminate for 3 seconds when plug is inserted and it runs its check, if it only illuminates when brakes are pressed its either wired incorrectly or has a bad connection somewhere. Also prior to I believe 1998 trailers older don't require abs to run legally

The only time that light is to come on is when you cycle the key or You Skid tires and the ABS throws a code. If you step on the brake the light comes on that means there is no power coming out of your axillary pin in the pigtail usually it's just a 30 amp fuse in the truck has to say trailer ABS not truck ABS .When you step on the brake and the light comes on that means there's no power going to the trailer ABS from the truck you wouldnt think so because the light came on but you can believe what you want.

Between the 2 you should easily make $600k a year and save a butt load in fuel costs because 99% of the loads are well under 10.000 pounds. A family member has been with them for 15 yrs and makes killer money.

@@Gentryandsons give em call. I'm straight up with you. 90% of the loads will fit into a small van. Very few are much over five thousand pounds. Only thing is you need r drivers who will team, pass government background checks because you will haul military loads/secret cargo loads, has passport for Canada (if you want to go,not a have to) and stay out for 3 weeks at a time. Longer they stay out, longer the runs. You only need a fairly new truck and you can rent a refer trailer from them at a good rate so you don't have to buy your own.
When I drove with him I've seen....$12k from NY to CA, $5k in 5 days at an airport never moved the truck, $3500 for 300 miles. They haul very valuable high end freight and they pay very well.
