      @@VideoDotGoogleDotCom I ain't too sure on Pacific but Hayes was shut down in 74 or 75 cause PACCAR bought them and bout put 'em outta business within a year after the purchase. I figure Pacific is probably about the same. If I remember right on the Hayes deal, the Signal Company, the parent company of Mack at the time, bought a controlling share in the late 60s and sold it over to PACCAR pretty quick but I could be mistaken on that part.

      Don't get all worked up about it. Pusher trucks don't run that many miles they don't even need a high hp engine. Just low gears and a place to put some weight for traction. That s why you see a lot of older equipment being used.

      I bet they can just lower the hydraulics and set it on the ground take the trailers apart and get out. I'm guessing that's what they're gonna do since there was no crane. Idk if there's a crane that can lift something that heavy. Looking back idk how they were gonna get the front part of the trailer out but wouldve been cool seeing them unload and get out.

    • @grouchygrizzly366
      @grouchygrizzly366 6 лет назад +5

      Well, once the trailer is in position close enough to the station, a crew lowers the transformer onto rails. These rails have devices that allow the transformer to be pushed by hydraulics into place, then lowered onto the pad.

      I ran oversize and super loads for about 17 years. When I was pulling superloads, I would call the next scale and ask if they wanted my to by-pass. That busy scale south of Washington, DC gave me several by-passes to avoid me jamming up their scale and a few of the small scales would by-pass me because I would fill the entire scale until I pulled out. The troopers I've worked with were respectful and friendly.
