I think it’s awesome how transparent you were with this bike. I know with the gsxr you were a lot more hush hush but you were also racing for $$ at an event lol. But it’s cool to tell us it all because it gives people a realistic mindset to what’s needed to accomplish “x,y and z.” Cannot wait to see the videos of you doing pulls and racing with this bike!!
Worked a LOT with a really high CR busa ...... went down the road of MR12 and MRX02 ..... Fuel recommendation for your setup would be C45 ... oddly U4.4 actually would be a close 2nd choice..tune and run E85 for the street...
Awesome build, great numbers 230swhp that’s about 250-255crank hp.even on pump gas this thing is a beast 226s without the worry of crazy lead build up on the exhaust valves and exhaust ports.with a 50plus hp gain and a broad torque curve,HTP did a great job on this motor.and that standalone allowed you guys to fully take full advantage of this motors potential.👊🏽
Great video. 55 HP gained. Tell us how much money was spent on the engine, electronics, parts, labor, and tuning. Tell us the cost of this 55 HP gain. Let us calculate a dollar to HP ratio. Example... $8,25 turn key cost would be $150 for every 1 HP. I guess the turn key cost is a lot higher. How much is the cost?
Think I'd stay with my Gen 2 after seeing this... This proves the Gen 2 and 1 platform is a tried and true helluva way to go...dosen't seems like there's more to gain out of this but it's still early and tuners like yourself will figure more out..
The small TB deal is weird, im thinking the bore/cams on 93 pump gas is probably worth 25hp/10ft lbs tuned for the pump fuel?.... The baseline 184/107 was 93 pump bone stock?
@05EVORS Man I believe that was on 89 octane...I knew the throttle bodies were smaller based on the info that was released when Suzuki debuted the bike..they claim that was done because the new angle of the injectors would help compensate for the hp loss compared to the Gen 2 in the low end range..its just gonna be interesting to see what tuners can squeeze out of this new Busa platform especially when the ecu gets fully hacked..people are really getting impatient waiting tho..
In my car, I went from c16 to q16, and for the past 2 years I'm on E85. If you got the fuel system, E85 is like pump race fuel lol, but I do use one ethanol and vp on occasion..
Wow that is almost the vary same numbers as my stock 09 busa engine on pump fuel with a RCC stage 1 turbo system with smallest 4lb spring for the street
It does beg the question - why buy a brand new bike if you’re gonna rebuild the motor anyway, is there any advantage over the old motor at all when the new one has been built for torque over outright power, potentially throttle bodies, cylinder heads , valves and cams will all be optimised for low/ midrange performance meaning tons of extra work…???
Love it chris..after my road racing career..i got a 2018 busa...tweak abit...very cool to ride. It was better than the gsxt 100 formula usa on methanol ..basically the same bore and stroked
It's awesome that you can do something like that it's not an average build which makes it so cool to see I'm not a real fan of the gen 3 I have a gen 2 but that new motor really makes some power awesome build Hope to see you in my area someday I would love to get a dino tune from you I'm in West Virginia falling Waters
If you have the money to throw at it,it’s worth it.What I would like to see in the future would be the same build with the factory ECU when it can be unlocked and tuned.I know that Motec itself is $2300 not sure what the converter box costs, but the built motor is worth every $$$ spent.Disappointing that we didn’t get to hear the open header run I was getting excited, use to run a sidewinder on my bike.🔥👍
Hey Chris! Great job on the ecu. But super expensive motec stuff is beyond most of us, however there is a company in the UK ( TTS PERFORMANCE ) who are doing a 400bhp supercharger kit for the new hayabusa, . Having messaged them I was told they are remapping the standard ECU…!!!. Might be worth contacting them. Maybe someone has cracked it already!!!!
Facts....im getting mine done over the winter. I don't know ow why Chris hasn't tried one of their kits. He has to know about them by now. It's the first mod I'm doing to my gen3.
Man yeah. CM is going to be a Big Problem in the Roll Racing 🏁 Game this year! Straight Fire! People don't fully understand what it means to Add over 50hp to a Motorcycle. That's a lot. Especially a All Motor Application. A Forced Induction motor is a Different Ball Of Wax.
I been waiting for this vid!!! Lol Very excited to see it in action man. Also suprised mr12 was fuel of choice. Great numbers as well sheeesh!! I hope mine makes around the same. Cheers 🤙
These numbers is what the gem 3 busa should have came from the factory with. It wouldn’t have been such a letdown if it came with the numbers you’ve made it have. Gg.
Fantastic work fellas. What would be the effect on top end power dialling the cams in to fix the mid range for a road bike perspective ? Wish I lived in the states as there are not many places in the UK building nice motors.
Professor Moore it's not even my bike but I'm pumped on the upcoming content!!!! Plus it's a Busa. Like Ric Flair after a Bang energy Wooooo, woooo!!!!! I'd try it against Megatron & 5UP V4. Don't forget the Puig. Also what's the wb? Funny thing Chris didn't say let's go 1397,1441 go big or go home 🤣🤣🤣
Hey Chris I've been into bikes a long time now was always a fan of the busa but we like a streetfighter style in the UK (but I do live in Florida now ) check out a guy called "Jarrod Jack Frost"from Ireland also called holesshot, but he was he'll bent way back, I think on a 99 busa on doing 250 mph his story is epic for the the time and road legal too , keep up the good work
It's kind of hard to decide if it's worth it or not without knowing how much it cost to gain that 55hp. What kind of cost would you be looking at to build it like this for a customer, parts and labor?
this for people with money whos not worried about spending money to fix and replace when it does happen not for broke people worried about it blowing up 5k miles later
@@AngelCruz-lt7fb There's no doubt about that. I have learned 2 things about modifying stuff. Horsepower is expensive, and modifications usually come at the expense of reliability. But with that said, this isn't a build that someone would generally daily ride on. Usually a full build like this is specifically for racing, so for the most part every one of those 5k miles will be full throttle. Trailer it to the track and run the hell out of it and back on the trailer it goes. But if someone did have a fat ass wallet and did a similar build just to cruise on and only really rode it hard on occasion, chances are it'll last much longer than 5k miles...but I damn sure ain't the one with a fat enough wallet to test that theory 😆.
i think you over cam the engine .....when you full open throttle engine seems laggy . like not getting enough air fuel.. what camshaft duration vs lift.........compression ratio ... possibly look at running 2nd injector for mid to high rpm.. whats the duty cycle on injector you running right through the rev range ... air possible issue ...hope you got engine fully ported intake /ext maybe look at force induction or fit 1 extra head gasket .....try again.....compression possibly to high maybe stick standard ex back on......because 2 into 1 ...............4 into 1 to much restriction maybe.... you noted Do you think it was worth it? i do ...but still not right.....keep going with it... you said in video you changed cam timing why ,,,pointless really points dizzy counter weights crap, gone possible cam timing out ...that may fix all your issues ...engine will still rev to 13 or 16k RPM hay if you balanced the bottom end ......with harder valve springs you said in video ,make sure you put good shim under spring ... engine should rev to 16k to 18 or even rev higher put penny washer under the harder springs...lol and put standard cams back in lower the profile of cams.........engine will rev past 20 will loose bit of hp...and fit a turbo and 150 shot of nos i guess don't do last comment ....it will blow up.....after a few drag runs.........
Sorry, if I am not understanding things correctly, I have a question isn't disabling the rev limits detrimental to the engine? the manufacturers put the rev limiter for longevity of the engine obviously reving too high is going to put quite a lot of stress to valves/rods and pistons as they rock up down and the valve/rod strings have limits at which they stop working I remember reading an article why engines have redline. it turned out that string characteristics at those high revs/ the strings cannot unspring back on time resulting on rods valves not closing and possible damage from bad timing as well as possibility of rods hitting pistons. and possibly of other components degrading quicker? I mean you are doing these tunes for people who ride bikes in street that expect to have their bike last long time and not racers who their sponsors pay for engine rebuild after every race? and oils changed after every run. normal people giving them these things are probably not wise? What's your thoughts on this?
Chris I have a question, if I wanted to get my heads on my 2020 Hayabusa or on a 2022 GSXR R1000 Ported and polished would there be any gains or not really (Serious question) I want to do it but want a professional idea first.
Not disagreeing with Suzuki’s aerodynamic claim but for the love of everything holy can they make a better windscreen for this bike?! I’m getting blasted at 60 mph 😂 Appreciate the content Chris. You made me want a gen 3! - Amy

Aw man I want that bike! Knowing you have power like that and don't have to use it is the best way to ride!
Go get yourself one!! No regrets here despite the price 🤣
These guys are the best. I sent in my ECU for a Flash. Incredible difference. Highly recommend.👍🏽👍🏽👍🏽
I hear this a lot!! What was a the price and turn around my friend?

HTP performance !! They did a great job on that engine ! I liked the upgrade nice job
Big gain in revs Chris..great work. Sounds like it's going to make over 240hp... Big torque figure.. big rpm.= Mp/h.. like 30% over stock.
Great video. 55 HP gained. Tell us how much money was spent on the engine, electronics, parts, labor, and tuning. Tell us the cost of this 55 HP gain. Let us calculate a dollar to HP ratio. Agreed.......you can tell this one has Chris baffled a bit. Bike just doesn't seem to be in a real happy place....
@MJ B Yep...I noticed that too..
Better oiling and a few other improvements in Gen 3 that will eventually be taken advantage of.
I got 2014 busa full penta carbon Brock’s exhaust & tune, and I got 178 to the tire!😳 Does that sound bout right?

This is gonna be some really good content for sure. Crazy that you can run a motec ecu on a brand new 2022

Another stellar vid. Always learning about my Busa fam. So I am bringing Well You Already Know THUMBS UPS 👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍🔥🔥🚀

Dang that’s a lot of work but definitely worth it awesome video awesome bike awesome Chris
That just might be the most awesomest thing I've ever seen
Had a motec m84 in my drag car. Sick system
I've got a gen 2 85 mill stroker kit with mild cams . (1476)
225 wheel on sunoco 120 , great for street or track .
Great content 👏
Absolutely awesome! BUT......WILL YOU TELL US WHAT IT COST TO BUILD THAT MOTOR???
Nice!!! All I know is I just got off my bike and mannnnn!!!! The Moore mafia tune is the truth!!!! I will be making appointment soon for dyno tune.
Hey Chris! Great job on the ecu. Facts....im getting mine done over the winter. I don't know ow why Chris hasn't tried one of their kits. He has to know about them by now. It's the first mod I'm doing to my gen3.
Numbers are right where I expected..👍👍
Depends on what you spent on the motor Chris, great job

I been waiting for this vid!!! Lol Very excited to see it in action man. Also suprised mr12 was fuel of choice. Great numbers as well sheeesh!! I hope mine makes around the same. Cheers 🤙
I love how you tell it all!!! Honestly I like you doing the dyno it’s much more exciting than Magic Mike! Sorry Mike lol
My GSXR1100 superbike back in 95 made 168hp and 100lb torque.....it was like 1290cc....it weighed 390 wet....cool build
I’m still stuck on the motech capacitor converter doohickey that’s too COOL!
How much is the upgrade?
Bravo!!! Can't wait to see it in action down in Mexico 👀👀ripp n set up
1, Looks like your phone has a nicer camera
2, I wonder what the hp would be feeding the intake with 180 mph wind?
That bike sounds powerful
Awesome results for an awesome Hayabusa. Great stuff & an informative video by you guys.
Dope! Moore Mafia is GOAT'D
Try C45 my man, i predicted 238. good video👌🏽
Tremendous
Thanks for posting this build !
Hey Chris, you're the best!
Awesome keep up the great work 👍 👏 Hayabusa life 😎
Very impressive. Way to go. 💪💪💪💪💪💪💪
I tell you what I think, It makes me want to get back in the bike seen after 4yrs of hanging up bike riding.
Pretty awesome! Great job guys
for a street bike -added cost of built motor worth it? stop light to stop light racing stock would seem to me to be ok But then again I'm old
can a busa engine be built at its stock configuration of 1340 cc for it to make over 200HP on the wheels..??
These numbers is what the gem 3 busa should have came from the factory with. It wouldn’t have been such a letdown if it came with the numbers you’ve made it have. Gg.
Those are the numbers I'd like to see for the VMAX LOL... Good stuff thanks for posting...
Fantastic! I would love to know what the engine build cost was... If someone has the money it seems worthwhile!
Fantastic work fellas. What would be the effect on top end power dialling the cams in to fix the mid range for a road bike perspective ? Wish I lived in the states as there are not many places in the UK building nice motors.
Great video as always
Chris growing the hair...I see you my guy!!! Bringing the 750 up there soon.....
231 at the tires all motor is fucking nutty, and that was only the first pull.
Professor Moore it's not even my bike but I'm pumped on the upcoming content!!!! Plus it's a Busa. Like Ric Flair after a Bang energy Wooooo, woooo!!!!! I'd try it against Megatron & 5UP V4. Using a MoTech unit is absolutely insane. Serious setup for the strip now, can probably run a progressive nitrous system.
You can run progressive nitrous with stock gen 2 right through the stock ecu
Also 2 step and air shifter
I had a 06 and a 08… wish that was mine… lol great job…
Hey Chris I've been into bikes a long time now was always a fan of the busa but we like a streetfighter style in the UK (but I do live in Florida now ) check out a guy called "Jarrod Jack Frost"from Ireland also called holesshot, but he was he'll bent way back, I think on a 99 busa on doing 250 mph his story is epic for the the time and road legal too , keep up the good work
It's kind of hard to decide if it's worth it or not without knowing how much it cost to gain that 55hp. What kind of cost would you be looking at to build it like this for a customer, parts and labor?
I second that question 🙋♂️
this for people with money whos not worried about spending money to fix and replace when it does happen not for broke people worried about it blowing up 5k miles later
15k ish with motec, rebuild, labor 🤷♂️
Carpenter Racing has a couple kits for bikes. I think their top kit is $12k for the Hayabusa.
@@AngelCruz-lt7fb There's no doubt about that. I have learned 2 things about modifying stuff. Horsepower is expensive, and modifications usually come at the expense of reliability. I'm looking forward to see how you do with this bike street racing 🤘💪💪💪
i think you over cam the engine .....when you full open throttle engine seems laggy . like not getting enough air fuel..
what camshaft duration vs lift.........compression ratio ...
possibly look at running 2nd injector for mid to high rpm.. whats the duty cycle on injector you running right through the rev range ...
air possible issue ...hope you got engine fully ported intake /ext
maybe look at force induction
or fit 1 extra head gasket .....try again.....compression possibly to high
maybe stick standard ex back on......because 2 into 1 ...............4 into 1 to much restriction maybe....
you noted Do you think it was worth it? i do ...but still not right.....keep going with it...
you said in video you changed cam timing why ,,,pointless really points dizzy counter weights crap, gone possible cam timing out ...that may fix all your issues ...engine will still rev to 13 or 16k RPM hay if you balanced the bottom end ......with harder valve springs you said in video ,make sure you put good shim under spring ... engine should rev to 16k to 18 or even rev higher
put penny washer under the harder springs...lol and put standard cams back in lower the profile of cams.........engine will rev past 20 will loose bit of hp...and fit a turbo and 150 shot of nos
i guess don't do last comment ....it will blow up.....after a few drag runs.........
Chris, Look into ETS P14 Fuel... Octane level should work and more O2 than MR12
Chris Moore when you will be able to tune the ecu what are your predictions for the bhp on a FET bike?

Great work, appreciate the insight! What was the consensus without the muffler?
I,m really curious of how much this stuff costs, haven't built anything in years, but I have a Gen 1 Busa and love it. Plus 12 other bikes.
How much was the engine build? And the motec set up.
Nice gains but, You asked was it worth the money spent, How much did it cost you? And how much would it cost for anyone else to duplicate it?
Chris I have a question, if I wanted to get my heads on my 2020 Hayabusa or on a 2022 GSXR R1000 Ported and polished would there be any gains or not really (Serious question) I want to do it but want a professional idea first.
Of course with the proper cams and setup but if you don’t have all the supporting mods cost-gain isn’t high.
Generally around 15-20 hp. Aftermarket cams add some also. Get a competent porter for the job
How much did all that cost
Good power with no boost is nice
Bad azz build!!!! Any gen2 1441 comparo?
Are u go n to roll , street or track it?? Or all three???
The GOAT eats his greens in a green LAMBo
Lotta top end power for sure.
Put some spray on it and hit it a few more times 😂 good numbers guys. Huge gains.
Nitrous ..turbo....?? Going to need it?? 650ib..?
How’s it compare to a Gen 2 busa 1441 or even a 1507 ?
Love Dat Plug N Play.....that's what she said 🤯
Are there any motorcycle shops that reputable when it comes to builts engines already completed and dyno'd tested?
How much did you spend let us know about how much is going to cost to make me one
Not disagreeing with Suzuki’s aerodynamic claim but for the love of everything holy can they make a better windscreen for this bike?! I’m getting blasted at 60 mph 😂 Appreciate the content Chris. You made me want a gen 3! - Amy
Is it really more aerodynamic than a Gen 1? Take it to a wind tunnel and find out.
Any word on when the ECU flashes will be available for the gen 3?
I think it’s got a little more in it. I was going to guess around 240hp
Awesome!! Like button smashed 👊
feel like a gen 1 or gen 2 would make more with the same mods no?
You didn't throw out any $$ numbers, but I'm pretty sure it's crazy money for what you all had done to the motor. That said, for what it costs, I would expect AT LEAST a 50hp gain, if not more......

lovely bro
Youre the best man lots of respect, would love to see you remap a Ninja H2 love UK
Incredible ❤
Wao that's something like busa Legecy on show .
hey chris i have a 2008 hayabusa with stock exhaust and cats installed.i put dual voodoo slip ons /k&n airfilter/power commander 5 as well as power commander secondary moduel on and bike runs likeCRAP with the maps they provide! i was woundering if you could sell me a map i could download and get back to rideing my street bike again.just trying to get her to be all a street bike can be with these items
How much for this specific built ?
You may like E-85 since it’s a short distance bike
