The video fits better if you understand the lyrics, so here's a translation: Listen to what I say and you won't be troubled These birds can see into thoughts The secret eye reads our dreams like a book These visions have been saved in the system From the ground leaf out walls From the walls poisonous shrubs Their thorns splintering glass A new technocracy The master's nail paints pictures with young blood The pictures eat into the surface of the brain as burning mycelium
I love how the guitars are retreated in the mix, letting the bass and keyboards drive the song. It's risky for a metal band but it gives this immersive, psychedelic sound.
They've been doing this for years. It's Pazuzu man.

The video does a great job of getting the music noticed . . . The shredding guitar rhythm and frantic lyrics just suddenly floods into this dreary dreamy keyboard and then retreats... wow.
I saw them 4 years ago... The 23rd of april in Brussels at magasin 4 with aluk todolo and cobalt. Next year, my grandma died the 23rd of march. That night i listened to oranssi pazuzu all night, smoking Black Devil vanilla cigarettes, I haven't sleep for 3 days and nights. And all the nights of the 23rd to the 24th of march i can't sleep. So i listen to oranssi pazuzu and i smoke vanilla tobacco... Some kind of a personal way/ritual to remember my grandma. So i want to say Thank you very much. You couldn't choose a better day to release this song. A huge fan of your work in tears. Thanks and cheers from belgium, you are awesome.
Dear Nuclear Blast, Like what Type O Negative achieved by not letting Roadrunner get involved in production for creative limitations of any interference making as a result, classic after classic in the 90's, please always allow Oranssi Pazuzu to have the freedom they deserve. As a result, Type O Negative created new sales records for them whilst being uncompromising and I wish all the same success towards Oranssi Pazuzu without the need for conformity. These were like the Type O Negative of the 2010's. This is the most important release you have had for a long time. Good luck! Kurt.
First time I heard this track my jaw was on the floor. So intense, beautiful and unpredictable. The only bad thing with Oranssi Pazuzu is that after their music everything else seems so dull 😅
This is one of the creepyest and craziest songs i've heard in a while, such an atmospheric, dark and original sound, love this so much. And this video looks like an german expressionist movies, so cool ❤
I am no metal head but i like to find New sounds no mater what genre. This one is exellent + bravo for finnish lyrics, it shows they are not in this for money. Very creative
Fantastic. The timing for such a work is spot on. Every piece of it is incredible. It has plague premonition written all over it. Love the acting, the art, the music and every other single bit of it.
All of them are very talented musicians and they put up an amazing live show, with amazing light and shadow effects too! Experienced them live at Brutal Assault 2022
@@Inezhko oh my, I've been to that show, not having known the band beforehands. i think it was the last or next to last show that day. all i knew was it's "some black metal". WAS NOT PREPARED.
Great album to sit down, take magic mushies or stamp, sit down in darkness and embrace the sound oranssi has brought to the table! The production is too good! One of the best in psychedelic black metal!
Awesome band.Tripped out black/pysch/prog/kraut metal.Perfect time for some new Oranssi Pazuzu much needed.Cant wait to get a physical copy of the new album.
Hace muchos años que algo venido del metal no me llamaba tanto la atención, pero esto es oro puro. Metal, psicodélia, paisajes cinematográficos, experimento. Ruido.... WOW.
As if Thom Yorke and Jonny Greenwood decided to compose Black Metal. Friday, 15th of May of the Pandemic 1st Year, the whole album is to be play and stream live by this magnificent band. Don't miss!
You can hear the old man's whisper when huffing dark matter living inside those high octane fumes😉 Let this ground breaking sound spill towards eternity🤯 Ty
Es increíble!! Esta pedazo de obra pertenece a un pedazo de álbum excelente! Una obra maestra sin duda alguna...una obra de culto. Verdaderamente excepcional 👌 Thanks!!!
the aesthetics of this video are similar to new Hail spirit noir album, photos etc. I always thought these two bands pushed the boundaries and the quality of extreme metal
Great job guys!! This is future black metal. Modern Black Metal? It is fresh for this style. But i like this. For me now is two wawes modern black netal music. From Poland Mgła and Oranssi from Finland. Ave free mind
Cloud Wizard I wasn’t precise actually, it means definitely a nail, whether in human hand or in animal claw - or paw: dogs and cats have “kynnet” (in plural) too. Anyway, that’s for Finnish lesson for today.
And tiny bits of many other great bands pop into my head! i hear very early Floyd, Sabbath, Ministry, Tangerine Dream...plus many others, and on the track with the dance beat=the penultimate track on the album I can hear The Prodigy 😀

Sure is risky to make an awful track and expect it to become a metal classic...
Pretty sure it's a flute on an echo loop, it's the keys that are more drowned out in the mix. It is pretty bad as s though.
Sounds like they're playing a Tim Hecker album in the background 👍
one of the most creative band of the decade, can't wait for the new album, love them so much.

So what happened?

Mestarin Kynsi is what happened.

Best band that Nuclear Blast have signed in for the time being.
agreed
hands down
I hope it's for the better of nuclear blast instead of for the worse of Oranssi Pazuzu.
Doesnt take much so i wouldnt consider that as a compliment.
Saw the Nuclear Blast logo, had to doublecheck to see if I clicked on the correct video

Very creative groovy dark song! Love the flutes percussions and voices.
Everything about this, both music & video, is simply excellent
LA MEJOR BANDA DE METAL EN FINLANDIA ....SALUDOS DESDE BARRANCA PERU
Another album, another masterpiece!!!
Seen live tonight in the Botanique in BXL. A cathedral of sound. Absolutely fantastic.
BTW the actor could pass as Dwight Frye in this clip.
Better and better they get, these guys craft quality creative music.
Great job Zev Deans on this vid. I like your vision and style.

Amazing. I could do without vocals in this style, but everything else is mindblowing. Perfect match of music and video.
i always hate these types of vocals... but they perfectly work for PSYCHEDELIC metal, IMO.
1 of the few current bands that does their metal differently with such evilness still intact. Black Astronuthead Metal!

Fantastic mix.
Loving it on my monitors and headphones.
What a fascinating band.

The only bad thing about this song/ video is that it ends. I don't want it to end😢
Mix Voivod and Orson Welles.
Insane.

Fantastic video, top notch, intense, interesting, perfectly captures the song.

If Mr. Bungle and Ministry mated, this would be the end result. What a refreshing song this is. The video, itself, is a work of art.

Both the song, AND the music video are Shirley the best things produced in this galaxy. At least in this time chunk?
Mind-blowing sound indeed. The album title means "The Master's Fingernail", I believe. This song translates into English as "A New Technocracy".
The Master's Claw, is closer
@@matronthorn.official Sure, and more animal-like!
Yes, "kynsi" can also mean a claw of the animal, like bear's or eagle's.
Claw or fingernail, or maybe it's some glove with claws? I would imagine it's intentionally named like that so it can't be properly translated.
Cloud Wizard I wasn’t precise actually, it means definitely a nail, whether in human hand or in animal claw - or paw: dogs and cats have “kynnet” (in plural) too. Anyway, that’s for Finnish lesson for today.

The video reminds me a bit of a mix of Ghost´s "Square Hammer" and "From the pinncacle to the pit"
Each of those videos was directed by Zev Deans. Look it up.
