I kind of like the concept of the clear canister. It gives you a clear window of what exactly you're picking up.
and you can see when is full without touch it.
exactly x2
Exactly, who cares about its looks? It’s going into the closet anyway. I want to see exactly how much it’s collecting.
Exactly
But why is the canister not on tightly there are gaps on the sides!!!
If the canister was not clear you couldn't tell when it's full.
It's a vacuum, not an art object.
This! Also you can see it's dirty so you clean it, not hide it lol
That's not true. I have a lindhaus vacuum and also it uses bags to know if it's full the red light comes on. The canister does not have to be clear the reason it's clear is for you to see that the product is working.
@@Kendaroo You're comparing apples and oranges. It's clear so you can see when it's time to dump the canister. There is even a "full" line on the canister so you know when to dump it. Maybe you want the added complexity of a sensor and indicator light, but the way it's designed is more efficient and less costly to manufacture.
@@Kendaroo i prefer i clear view, less things less problems.
@@matlip. Exactly. You can't mess this up. A light bulb could burn out, the sensor could be broken or stop working over time, but a clear canister can't malfunction. If it's ugly it's working.
I picked this up from Costco recently and it is a beast. Sucked up a ton of dust from three rugs that we thought were pretty clean from regular vacuuming with my old Riccar vacuum.
I was on the fence over a few units, but that shortened wand configuration just sealed the deal for me. Thanks for pointing that out!
This is the most detailed video I have seen yet (and I've seen a lot since I started researching this vacuum cleaner before buying it). Thank you for all of the great information! I learned several things about my new vacuum thanks to you!
Thanks for the video it was very informative. I'm interested in seeing the update after being used for awhile. To add a perspective in regards to the clarity of the dust bin, I really like that it is totally clear. For one, I get a great satisfaction seeing all the dirt that is no longer on my floor. Second, I am better able to see things I may not have meant to vacuum up, like a lego or some other small accessory belonging to my kids. Besides, my vacuum lives in the laundry room when not in use so I don't feel like it needs to sparkle. None the less, some probably share your view on it so it's good you pointed it out.
This is an awesome review. Truly, this is one of the most useful if not the most useful product review videos on the internet. Thank you.

1 Year Update: ruclips.net/video/yrpRVMoYXMk/видео.html
If you ever do new construction houses with dark Floors put the head to the true test and do one pass with stuck on dust and do a before and after picture
No small powerhead like the apex???
I just got mine today. This is amazing. It's comparable in suction power to my shop-Vac! It was actually pulling the hair from under things towards it. I use wood pellets for cat litter and not to many vacuum cleaners can handle them, but this vacuum cleaner was incredible. Heavy though after awhile if you use it in the lift away mode (which was what I was doing). After about 15 minutes I ended up getting the strap from my weed eater and connecting it to the handle of the vertex pod and slinging it over my shoulder like a giant purse. That left both hands free. The few drawbacks to this vacuum cleaner do not take away from the amazing results of it. The darned thing sucked up a whole wee wee pad before I could turn it off! Never seen a vacuum do that before (even my shop Vac). I have a gazillion cats (and cat hair) and not a single piece of hair was on the brushes. I can't say enough good things about this beast! I let the dust cup get beyond full (I mean seriously, over filled) and it continued to suck things up like crazy. I was thinking about putting some wheels on it so I can just roll it around like a canister.
Shark sells canister dollies / caddies for their lift away uprights that might work with the Vertex. It’s meant to enable owners of the lift away models to use it like a canister. Send Shark an email and see if they have one compatible with your model. It’s like a base with wheels that the main unit locks into while laying on it, and then you can drag it around like a canister. Sounds like something you might be interested in.
I had a very heavy Hoover vacuume cleaner for many years, kind with the red light that comes on when its picking up dirt. did a good job, I thought. I vacuumed my home with the Hoover then used my new Shark Vertex. The vertex filled the container with all the dirt the Hoover missed. Wow, what a difference. The Shark is lighter than the Hoover but does a much better job. I don't like to clean, but when I do I want to do a good job. Shark Vertex is great.
Update? Update! Please... we trust your opinion bro! THX
Yes update
Bruuuuuuuuuhhhhhhhhhhh, I did not know you could use the handle to attach it to the head to clean stairs. You are the shiznit!!
I just bought this vacuum because of this! I was using a shark rocket for my stairs for this reason, but now I can have 1 vacuum.
Dude....the handle right in the head...you just blew my mind lol. I’ll use that for sure
I also bought this exact same vacuum from the manufacturer/company and that is the exact same box that I just opened. It arrived today. And here I am watching this to figure out how to remove the HEPA filter at the bottom of the canister...
Thank you the best info on how to use Vortex so far Kudos to you,.
I like how the prong holes on your wall socket are upside down. LOL
Thank you for talking about the NO light on the handle. I’m looking to update my 8 year old Shark to have this self cleaning because I have long hair. I’m sad that it doesn’t have the light on the handle. My older model does and this machine would be perfect if it did.
Bought it and it works great!
JustVlad you are a little wrong about the bare floor setting, low-pile carpet setting, and high pile carpet and rug setting. The bare floor and low pile carpet setting have the same suction power the only difference is bare floor the brush roll spins slower so you don't scatter dirt everywhere. The low-pile carpet setting has the same brushroll speed as high pile and and low-pile you get the best deep cleaning because the brushroll spins at Max Speed and it is at Max suction. The high pile carpet and rug setting opens a valve in the handle to reduce suction so the vacuum cleaner will not be hard to push on high pile carpet and so rugs will not stick to the bottom of the cleaner head.
Can we please get an update on this vacuum, the pros and cons. Thanks
My 2021 Shark is a great vacuum. I love it very quite vacuum not overwhelmingly loud
Looking forward to follow up on this 👌👌
Do you know if the brushrolls will scratch the shine of laminate floors?
Wow thank u for the review ty I’m thinking of buying this it is great I have many other shark vacuum cleaners
I have this - I question the attachments - they just "wedge" in, don't snap lock like all the other parts - yet the attachments have moldings in them (notches) that would indicate alignment?? Am I doing this incorrectly?
just got it for $257 Out the door, from Bed bath and beyond, on sale for 349 then 20% coupon then 50 dollars in my funds from an older purchase, hope it lasts me a long time, a lot for my for a vacuum.
Finally! I'v been waiting for your review for this. I can't wait to hear your wife's opinion if she likes the vertex over the apex for house cleaning business. I dont' have the vertex yet. I have the apex. I feel like I like the apex more and seems more premium and better quality then the vertex.
Hello from 🇺🇸Harrisburg Pennsylvania 🇺🇸 this vacuum cleaner is awesome more power than my DYSON DC15 & my Kirby I only had it for 3 weeks but TRUST me the suction power is unbelievable 🎃 💗 🎃
I just received this Shark vacuum shipped from the company. I’m really encouraged to see a good review. My last vacuum was an expensive Miele upright. It was an absolute piece of garbage and I just threw it away because the motor was blown and it wasn’t worth repairing.
is it still doing well two years later?!??
@@Kevin-co7dr Working like a champ 🥳 still works just like day 1 Trust me you will love 💗 this vacuum cleaner
Really good review! I’m going to save this one.
How do you remove the brushroll plate? There's a rock stuck in mine and I can't get it out without removing the finned brushroll plate to get at it. THX
I’ve owned Shark Vacuums since they came out and loved all models. This will be my next one. Do you have an update? I’d also like to know how you like using the beater head on steps verses the small stair attachment that other Sharks have??
Is there anyway to detach the top part of the vacuum? Ive had this model for a while now and some dust gets stuck up there and it makes the vacuum look really dirty.
I really wish you wouldn't spend so much time being negative about the appearance. Once or twice is enough.
Hi, How has the vacuum held up with your wife's business and are you going to film an update? Thanks for the thorough review.
If you don’t like the clear canister you can put on some window decorative adhesive. I wish the canister was darker verses completely clear. Oh well it didn’t stop me from buying it😃
Came across this video and wanted to know if there are any updates? Really interested to see.
Best vaccum i have ever had. Prior to this vaccum. i went through 10 vaccums in 3 months due to pet hair. I ended up breaking down paying for this vaccum. i have not looked back a year later.
Oh I feel ya. Pet hair....the death of most vacs
I just got this vacuum and I love it. I am having trouble finding the replacement filters. I like to have a spare set so I can have one in the machine while the other is drying. My filter has collected quite a lot of dirt in just a few weeks of use. Would appreciate any information on the replacement filters.
I saw them on Amazon and they have them on the shark website
How do you wash the filters? Just water and soap hand rinse it?
Do you still love this vacuum? I'm thinking about ordering this tonight. I just want to see what everything thinks. Thanks
@@DBR00 I just got this exact machine today. I had a shark navigator prior. I like this machine a lot but it’s very heavy and it’s hard to push even on thin carpet…so I may be sending it back. But the suction power is nice and it’s supposed to self clean on the brush so it never gets clogged.
great vid - just got my vertex!! Do you know what the little floating brush on the bottom of the head is for?
Nice video big Like for you 😻❤️
Where is your one month follow up on this vacum?
Probably returned it
After seeing other reviews I honestly thing the Apex is better value for the money and still even a better vacum then the vertex. The garage head on the vertex can't even be opened and has no light on the handle like the Apex. The only thing going for the vertex is slightly stronger suction which imo doesn't really translate into a better performing vacuum.
Was this the AZ2000W model with the under appliance wand?
Can you do a how to clean this vacuum video
Warning, this vacuum will destroy the power cord if you run over it ,no problem with the Dyson vacuum cord ever. It is heavy but it does a ok job cleaning . Now I I'm looking into a cordless vacuum
you already have a cordless! Your vacuum ate it! LMAO 😜
Best reviews! No stupid jokes or hey this is my pet hi fluffy! 🙄 No talk talk and then 1sec review or
Do you know if the Shark Apex Zero M model can do the same hose straight into the brush roll head configuration as the Vertex??
It can. Any Shark that says “powered lift away” in the description or on the box can do that.
What's a downfall is that the handle doesn't have the Light like the APEX does.., which by the Way Vlad.. I love my APEX Zero M. Minus the Motorized pet tool. Now I wish they make another APEX though
I agree. I think the Apex is better. They took two steps backwards with this one.
The plastic looks like new if you wash it as directed with the filters trust me I've had my shark for a long time lol never looks used
can you turn of the brushes for berber carpet?
Didn't find your update video. Is this vacuum still worth the money?
Looks are perfect, go clean the damn thing. Keep cleaning and get a better house too ✔😁
compare to last year Apex, do you think is worth to upgrading?
I wish I had the vertex
How to remove the roller from inside? Thanks
I use shark. The only thing i have never liked, is their hoses are not very flexible when the suction is turned on 👎🏽
Price you pay for class leading suction.
Can anyone tell me how I could clean where the LED lights are. In the side of the logo SHARK on mine it's all dusty and dirty .
What is the black bristles under the line chamber
I like the music
What is the music you used in the beginning?
How exactly do you get it to tilt back?
Worst part of Shark is non replaceable brush rollers. Sure you can replace the front soft one, but would it cost them that much to do it? Expecting us to pay $100 for a new nozzle is just crap, esp when they now won't even warranty them if they break.
I bought this vacuum and I like it alot, the only thing is it works going forward but pulling back the brush roll don;t work and neither does the led light.I've only had this for 4 months. have no idea what is going on.
Did you get the issue resolved?
I have one broke at the swivel teach me how to fix it need a video 2:31
What’s the song you chose in the background?
I'm waiting for updates
I got a shark duoclean ad before the vid started
Super
Just Vlad,
I was wondering if you could please answer me on how the vertex is holding up? I got the apex and love it, but I only have a few days before I can take it back to swap.... Just wanted to see what your wife has experience the past month.
I know it doesn’t have a bay to open and get rollers unclogged, but maybe she isn’t having that problem... please advise...
Z
Stick with the Apex. Vertex is not a worthy upgrade at this point unless you need that little bit more suction. Hope this helps
Just Vlad,
I'm wondering the same thing about the bay in the rollers. I was looking to get the Vertex since it's on sale now, but I'm not sure anymore?
Thank you so much for responding!
I just didn’t know how significant the difference in suction would be or if it would be that noticeable. The side suction is what I thought was a big pro for the vertex, but it looks from what I can tell is that apex seems more durable and like it’s a higher quality product with a lighter handle, but I haven’t seen the vertex in person... Thank you kindly for the recommendation... you do a great job on your videos. Keep it up!!
U could swap it?
So its about time they came up with a no wrap hair roller. I had the navigator however I have long haired cats. No matter how much I was dutiful in pulling gobs and gobs of hair out....after time it burns out the motor in the head. Surprise surprise you could not just change a belt or beater. Needed whole new head at 117.00 a whack. Wtf??? I have a Shark ( Ninja food processor that was just out of this world....sadly it died after like 10 years ( maybe less) of hard hard use. Thats the only thing that made decision to buy another Shark vac because it didnt work out too well for me with Navigator
👌👍
Heck ya give me clear plastic on the dustbin. I wanna see the crap I got
Is it heavy??
Is this their newest upright vacuum?
Yes
Update please!,
The other thing is: parts from other Shark machines are not interchangable. Good for Shark not for my pocket book
Wrong I had a five year old shark and had the powered pet brush and it works with the new one also
I need a video on how to take it apart i think i broke a belt
It lQQKS like a re-boxed or returned vac cause I bought 4 sharks in the last 10 years and they NEVER COME MESSY LIKE THAT in the box js
Are the filters washable? Reusable?
yes all 3 of them
Have had mine for 3 years now. Replace the filters every 6 months. Just replaced power head because the power fins wore out and the main brushroll is not available as a separate service part. We use ours every week and we have thick carpet everywhere except the kitchen and both bathrooms.
I really want is a vacuum

If anything gets tangled in the rollers you cannot get big one out. And you're screwed
how easily does it empty?
Super easy. But there are 2 doors. One on the bottom & one on the top. That way you don't have to reach in to remove any stuff
Very!!!
Awsome
Can you please explain the differences between Models AZ2000, AZ2002, & AZ2000W? Thanks
I heard it's just the colors that are different wth the different models
They come with different attachments and the colors are different
Excellent review, but I request you to be more optimistic than pessimistic ! Again and again you were contradicting your own statements, started with negative than accepted and appreciated as a good one. Please look at half glass full not half glass empty. For some both have the same meaning. I am very thankful for your hard work and detail explanation. In fact better than the Shark commercial on TV. Your review is more thorough and may I say “ The Best.” Thanks 🙏
I want this vacuum, but not for $400+
You never did a follow up video.
11:17 Oh yeah.
jesus, Vlad has a nice house.
Here comes the fun part 50

As an apex owner for almost 2 years. I feel like shark stepped way back on quality i think the motor got all the quality and the head and handle tokk a nose drive. So 427 is way to much wjen u can get a highee quality apex for 300. And the bristles not going all the way to the middle is just rediculous. Those flaps look to weak to do much
Went to Best Buy. The bigger the model with flaps they do get stiffer. I noticed the bristles are the same size as the smaller decks. Just longer slot and a base so they don't slide in.. Not sure why they cheated o so much
I agree. I got a used apex for 150. Disappointed their is no light on the handle. Thats actually very useful on the apex. And you can't open the head like you can on the apex in case something gets stuck in side. I feel like I still prefer the apex over the vertex.
@@Sonica212 its not like shark to do shit like this... the bristle issue is just rediculous. Take the damn thing out if u wont make it fullsize
Shark coypys Dyson
the front roller of mine just went out and behold the warranty doesn't cover the shit. 90$$ on top of the 350$ vacuum lol errr
A real nitpick
We had this vacuum for 24 hours before returning it. The little wheels for the rollers on either side of the new big power roller immediately picked up hair and were absolutely impossible to clean and stopped rolling. The fact is, this vacuum's head cannot be disassembled and the manufacturer says so. And as great as it is (and it cleans very well), it's got a few issues.
1) This vacuum pulls forward like CRAZY and is a pita to pull back. Fine, but not easy for kids.
2) The powerhead CANNOT be disassembled and cleaned.
3) The tiny wheels next to the power blade clog immediately with hair and are TERRIBLY difficult to clean.
4) Despite having a powerhead with an electrical connection, the little cleaner vacuum is pneumatic and quickly slows down on carpets. There is no excuse for this. It should be electrically powered. It works ok, but sounds like a jet engine and then slows down insanely when it comes into contact.
Shark has optimized the dust collection so that all of the hair and dust is shown in a little viewing window at the front of the collection. It works well, but it's a bit of theater and more importantly kind of shows that the brand is all about the "look" and perhaps less focused on function. It's "social media review ready" and "reviewer oriented" as a product.
The colors are truly odd. Blue and Apple-style pink? Very odd and not very attractive.
It's an incredibly effective cleaning out-of-the-box, I'll say that. It does a good job. But I just wish it was a little more focused on utility and less on the look. The fact that you can't take it apart to clean it is unacceptable and makes me rethink the brand. This product is DEEPLY UNSUSTAINBLY CONSTRUCTED and CANNOT BE EASILY REPAIRED OR CLEANED. This is UNACCEPTABLE for semi-durable product brands in 2021. Dyson does the thing. I wish more reviewers were taking into account product durability and whether manufacturers are thinking about landfill waste when they're building these things, but they're not. That tide will change, pendulum swing, etc.
bro shto za intro music, but great review
do they remove the Light from the Handle ? seem like yes . that's just unacceptable for the price tag they have . prices going up and quality going down . NO to this model
Cords should never get warm. Never. I find it hard to beleive that Shark or their parent company would sell vacuums where the cord gets warm. That is extremely dangerous.
Warm, yes
Hot, hell no.
