Had a dear friend whose diagnosis came as her daughters were celebrating ages one and four. She saw her oldest enter college, and her youngest become a senior in high school. Oh the life lessons she shared with friends, family, colleagues, and her story lives on to this day. Enjoy birthday week🎂🎉🌺🎂🎉

My mom has stage IV adenocarcinoma Non Small Cell Lung Cancer as well. KRAS mutation and there’s really only one treatment for it and she’s on it. Mets in the brain, which makes her speak with a slur - I have an idea what you’re going through. Just love and positivity all around to you and your family. Hugs Jenny 🤗

Jenny, I must let you in on a little secret of mine. I am 67 years old and was diagnosed with Sarcoidosis 20+ years ago and I learned the hard way that I just can't do an MRI without sedation! I totally freaked out because 1. the pain from laying flat on my back on that hard table, with the head piece holding my head still, was absolutely agony. 2. Even though I had my oxygen on, I felt like I couldn't breath. I felt so bad when they had to stop the MRI but I just couldn't handle the pain of laying flat on my back and not being able to breathe deeply like I needed to. My doctor told me it's better to just go ahead and have the sedation so you are totally relaxed and don't have to think about pain or anything else for that matter. But, that's me. You need to do what you feel is best for you! Just know that you and your beautiful family are in my prayers. P.S. when I was diagnosed in 2000, I was given 3 years. Here I am 23 years later! I believe in God. I believe there is power in prayers. I believe in miracles. God bless you. 💜🙏🤟
I was diagnosed with sarcoidosis as well In 2018 it was dormant and I believe it’s acting up now. Was recently found incidentally multiple lesions on the spleen on mri but I had no symptoms, few weeks latter went to eye doctor with pain and discomfort on eyes and he said I had inflammation called episcleritis he gave me steroids drops and I was sent for a PET scan which showed fdg uptake activity radiologist believe that even though it has similar futures as lymphoma that sarcoidosis is more thought of because of my diagnosis in 2018. But my doctor is sending me for a biopsy to double check to make sure it’s not lymphoma and prescribed me the right meds because prednisone isn’t fun to take, too many side effects. What type of sarcoidosis do you have that the Doctor gave you 3 years? Usually it’s a pretty survival desease unless it goes to a few vital organs. How are you doing? Hope all is well. God Bless

When I was going through cancer treatment people would always say 'go a day at a time'. But when you're in pain, it is really more like go a minute at a time. I have to say, you look so much better today! You look rested, colour in your face, even your voice sounds better.
Thanks for the update, I do look out for these to know how you are doing! Rest is best, and I bet resting at home is I bet way better than resting at the hospital. Keep listening to your inner voice and taking care of yourself, everything does take time. Sending you positive thoughts and virtual hugs!

I’m at md Anderson this week. Tomorrow we do 4 different scans and a biopsy. It’s all scary and yet exciting. I’ve been fighting this a year this time. 12 years total. Breast cancer stage 3b. You inspire me daily. Your strength and grace is amazing. When I get home next week I’m mailing you another package.

Hi Jenny, it's T. I just wanted to say YES, to accepting that today, it feels good to sit on your special pillow stack. YES, to knowing you are where you want to be, at home with all your loved-ones. YES, to celebrate your sweet daughter's birthday. YES to looking into new things, if you feel you want to, medically. YES, to the adjusting of pain meds, because what is the purpose of suffering? If you can, and this is the hard part, stay right here, in this day. This day is the only day any of us have. That makes you equal to everyone else. We each are living in today, together, in this whole wide world. No matter what, you will be absolutely OK. I'm always around if you need someone to talk to about how you feel. I'm someone who talks to those who are at stage 4. And let me tell you, I know LOTS of folks who are stage 4 who are still going strong. No charge, just here if you and your hubby need someone to talk to, or you want to talk about stuff that maybe you don't want to talk about on camera, etc. I'm just a woman who lives in England, but I am a Cali girl, born and raised in Ventura county. I was diagnosed with sarcoidosis as well In 2018 it was dormant and I believe it’s acting up now. Was recently found incidentally multiple lesions on the spleen on mri but I had no symptoms, few weeks latter went to eye doctor with pain and discomfort on eyes and he said I had inflammation called episcleritis he gave me steroids drops and I was sent for a PET scan which showed fdg uptake activity radiologist believe that even though it has similar futures as lymphoma that sarcoidosis is more thought of because of my diagnosis in 2018. But my doctor is sending me for a biopsy to double check to make sure it’s not lymphoma and prescribed me the right meds because prednisone isn’t fun to take, too many side effects. What type of sarcoidosis do you have that the Doctor gave you 3 years? Usually it’s a pretty survival desease unless it goes to a few vital organs. How are you doing? Hope all is well. God Bless

When I was going through cancer treatment people would always say 'go a day at a time'. But when you're in pain, it is really more like go a minute at a time.

I’m at md Anderson this week. Tomorrow we do 4 different scans and a biopsy. It’s all scary and yet exciting. I’ve been fighting this a year this time. 12 years total. Breast cancer stage 3b. You inspire me daily. Your strength and grace is amazing. When I get home next week I’m mailing you another package.

Hi Jenny, it's T. I just wanted to say YES, to accepting that today, it feels good to sit on your special pillow stack. YES, to knowing you are where you want to be, at home with all your loved-ones. YES, to celebrate your sweet daughter's birthday. YES to looking into new things, if you feel you want to, medically. YES, to the adjusting of pain meds, because what is the purpose of suffering? If you can, and this is the hard part, stay right here, in this day. This day is the only day any of us have. That makes you equal to everyone else. We each are living in today, together, in this whole wide world. No matter what, you will be absolutely OK. I'm always around if you need someone to talk to about how you feel. I'm someone who talks to those who are at stage 4. And let me tell you, I know LOTS of folks who are stage 4 who are still going strong. No charge, just here if you and your hubby need someone to talk to, or you want to talk about stuff that maybe you don't want to talk about on camera, etc. I'm just a woman who lives in England, but I am a Cali girl, born and raised in Ventura county.
