Thanks for the comparison. The noticeably lower bitrate in the NZXT isn't necessarily a deal breaker at that price, but it's good to know there's a compromise.
Will the 4k30 work with a laptop that had 3.0 and not 3.2 usb? Or i must have 3.2 for it to work? Looking to stream 1080/60 and 1080/120 with it. Thank you.
Honestly, I went for this because Elgato was not showing up for me anymore on my computer. With so many errors of the USB 3.0 not being detected, finding many users with the same problem but no general fix. I even bough the HD60 X to see if it did me any good, nothing. But this, this fixes my problem.
In my experience, and I've tried all sorts of suggestions from videos and guides on how to setup OBS, but my HD60s footage is noticeably more smooth than recordings from OBS. So, needless to say, I prefer a capture device over using OBS for gameplay.
@@JackWoodhams And that's what I thought considering I was first trying it on older hardware, so a 4th Gen i5 and a 1060 6GB, but keep in mind this was like three years ago. So I tried it on my main system with a 3950X and a 1080 Ti at the time, and it just wasn't smooth. I've tried it on my laptop with a 4800H and a 2060. I've tried it on a test bench with a 10700K and and a 3080 Ti. For me the hardware hasn't helped and I've tried Nvenc and well as x264 with several different settings. Or maybe it's just me and it's the placebo effect and they're the same, but that's why I ended up buying the HD60s, because it was so distracting.
@@TheGameBench that's really strange! My 3080ti / 3700 system records in 4k 60fps with no issues. Your system sounds like it should be able to handle it for sure. At least the hd60s has helped although in theory is really shouldn't. 😂
@@JackWoodhams It really is. I know people have zero problems with it. I've accounted for every variable... so I can only conclude that the problem is... me. I'm the common denominator. LOL
Very amateur streamer here looking to stream from my Xbox Series X. Been looking for something that's easy and stupid proof. This seems to fit the bill.
Very good quality for a capture device - sample footage looks very good.
Another clear review thanks.

Thank you, it's the best guide I've seen on RUclips, it answered my questions 👍
I set up this capture card with my PC and PS5 but when i switch my monitor to HDMI mode i see nothing on screen. What can i do? 😢

Like a device that does exactly what it’s supposed to without the need for any additional software.
Will it not capture audio from ps mic without the splitter
Could I Use the Elgato chat cable instead of the NZXT one?
How do i get the PS5 gameplay audio from my capture card to go through my USB headset?? 🤔

No software is an absolute W for me. This made my choice. Should arrive this monday lets hope I'm satisfied :)
@@Deftaly were u ?
@@smflen3725 how did you get the capture card to show up?
That case is a bit flimsy would expect a bit higher quality for the money.
Can you dim that LED or is it always that bright?
No option to dim it
Does it have UVC support?
Is this doing hardware encode on the stream? What formats does it support?

yeah me too, its a better option
I think this may be viable if your system struggles with CPU / GPU performance. If you don't mind me asking what system do you have?

Can you capture from anything or does it depend on the HDCP flags being set
What brand does support VRR capture?
Definitely want to see the 4k version.
It's pretty decent value for money when you think about it.
that SLR stuff was pretty cool
Does it work for dual pc setups?
Very smooth footage could have come direct from the source.
does it work with usb headphones???
Does this have the copyright protection ?
Mine is capturing the gameplay but not the audio on PS5
Hey some one please test it on macos ?

Shame about no VRR for the PS5
No HDR support - why!!!
If you need hdr or 4k the 4k30 offers that for just a bit more ££
Looks pretty good but expensive for what you get.
Niche product for a niche market.
The streaming market is HUGE 🤯
Good card fs. But damn it was painful trying to watch you play GoW tbh haha.
no voice chat thats awful
NZXT loves to take other people's hardware and slap their logo on it and charge 2x for it
Was on sale for black Friday for 79.99 for the 4k30 probably the best capture card deal right now
Bit expensive for what it is.
Why do people from the console world have everything so easy?
I’ve had enough of streamers NZXT should make equipment to stop them.
