Thank you for making this video. I stripped the whole machine down to replace a broken up bottom bearing. What I found helpful was pausing it to see which way the piston is fitted as I couldn't remember. It's all back together now and runs sweet 😁
Excellent job. I usually use my Black & Decker hot air stripper with a smaller custom made nozzle to apply heat to the inner race of the bearings before putting them on. Its a controlled light heat source, which won't damage the bearing race, but allows the bearings to slip onto the crankshaft much easier 👍
This just happened to my blower thank you for your video it made replacing bearing easy. I had two problems it was hydro locking and after replacing the carb the bearings wouldn't let me pull start it would lock up. Thanks again
I orders a new piston with rings last week followed your video in fitting it and now the blow works great thank you for your video keep the good workup
Nice video! What was the gasket sealer called?&where can i get some? As ive got to do my old Husky blower main seals to replace ,although Husky do a seal kit for the bottom end together with the crank seals. Many thanks
Hello, I have a bg86c which I can not get to start for the sake of me. Its had new piston rings and now has very good compression. It's had a full carb service. New plug. It won't even start with fuel straight into plug hole not even trying tk start. I've had another coil on it and that didn't work either. Had exhaust off and checked that. Now it will smoke after many pulls but will yank the pull cord back. I'm really stuck if you could offer any advice?
OMG!!!! Your Crankshaft is damaged now (bended) after beating the new bearings with the hammer onto the shaft!!! YOU HAVE TO PUT A WEDGE BETWEEN THE CRANKWEBS!!!
Un trabajo horrible les dejastes los retenes viejos, no le pusistes grasa de litio en el sigueñal, no lavastes el motor, todos los plásticos sucios!!! Compañero perfecciona antes de hacer un video por favor. No lo tomes para mal.

Don't mean to be disparaging, but why not clean up all the old oil and grease from the machine before reassembly?

Once I hit one so hard it not only bent but turned a once flat earth in to a round one 😱
Why don't you use a bearing puller that is not how to do it
