The tools mentioned above didn't work for my Stihl BG86 Blower - 2021 version. Apparently, Stihl has changed the adjustment screws to octogon (8 sides) instead of the 4mm Hex some people have mentioned and that is included in the kit listed above. Your fix for the "Stihl That Won't Rev Up" really made a huge difference, but I still want the right adjustment tool and have not found definitive and consistent information. Do you have any advice?
I've got 20 years as an automotive line tech, 5 years split between journeyman marine electrician and journeyman mirine diesal mechanic and 10 years running my own business in construction and remodeling. It's the combined experience that let's me know this guy is the real deal and I learn something every time I watch one of his videos. Keep up the good work Steve
Someone gave my roommate a stihl leafblower because it needed a new carb. I ordered one online, installed it and watched this video to learn how to adjust it. We now have a running and finely tuned leafblower! Thank you Steve!!
This helped me finally get my Stihl BG55 back to its full potential. I had tried the spark plug, new air filter, fuel filter, made sure my spark arrestor was whistle clean and was about to get my small engine neighbor guy involved, who is a good guy but is no "Steve's Small Engine Saloon". I was having that bog-down symptom that mimics the clogged spark arrestor. The trick was to pop that limiter cap off the high side adjust and to know that to make that adjustment, you need to have the motor running at full speed while making the adjustment. And also to always have the blower tube on and clean air filter. The manual for the blower is virtually useless and fairly unclear to the layman. Simple things like this are priceless. It's that simple, low side is at idle, high side is at full speed, turn back and forth until you hit the sweet spot! Thanks Steve. I'd drink any brand beer with you! And I owe you one...so I clicked subscribe.
You just saved me from junking my Poulin Pro leaf blower of 12 yrs . I was going to toss it out but I decided to buy a new carburetor instead and it still ran with little power not knowing it has adjustable screws . After watching your video my leaf blower runs brand new again . Thanks for your videos!
Steve, This adjustment video worked great on my 15 year old BG55 that finally died last week. I ordered the Hipa full carburetor kit on Amazon and installed it today. Ran okay for a minute then died like it was out of gas with a 3/4 full tank of VP 50-1 premix ethanol free gas. Waited 15 mins then restarted with same results twice more. I found this video and after a few adjustments you recommended my blower runs great and fired up nicely each time. The Hipa kit was less than $20 compared to a $60 diagnosis fee from my local shop plus parts… they estimated $70 for a new carb plus labor. Where do I buy you a six pack of beer buddy? Rick in Northern California… land of the battery operated garden power tools from now on… Geesh! I’ll never switch over from my gas machines.
This is the best demonstration and explanation on how to tune a small 2 cycle carburetor that I've found on RUclips. Thank you Steve for your detailed video on how to adjust those high, low and idle screws. You're a terrific teacher.
What I learnt from your videos in 10 minutes has given me knowledge for a lifetime. I have followed your tuning instructions and also removed the spark arrestor to burn off the carbon & oil with a gas torch. The blower is running like a dream now!! Thanks Steve! Enjoy those large bottles of Corona beer 👍
Just tuned my BG55 for the first time in 14 years of ownership, with the help of this video. It wouldn't rev all the way up after yesterday's carb replacement and wouldn't idle and choke. The spark arrestor screen looked pretty clean so all it needed was a little adjustment for the high speed screw and idle. Thank you for the effort that you put into these videos!!
Got a BG56 second-hand cheap wouldn't start, thanks to Steve I got it up and running in no time. Fitted a new Carbie and it was not the issue it turned out to be blocked muffler arrest screen, I removed it then heated it up with a butane gas torch then blew it out with compressed air, now works gr8.. My after market Carbie not the best might swap it over with original. For those who need a rough setting to get the unit running the H was around one and half turns back from wound full in, ("Don't force it tight or risk breaking the needle"), the L is one turn back from fully wound in then u can start it, allow it to warm up like Steve said before fine tuning.. The L will usually do up a little to get it right and the H well that just like Steve said go both ways till to judge the sweet spot... Great Videos Steve you make things so easy and explain it well, cheers....
Steve, I finally ordered a set of adjustment screws and fixed the husqvarna blower my dad gave me for my first house. It hasn’t run right in over a year. Thanks! I’m gonna fix all the small engines in my family’s arsenal.
Thanks for the top, great. My BG50 blower, just 5 months did not run on high revs with full throttle. When starting with choke and put choke back it almost dies. After starting and putting the choke half way it runs but not max. revs. Brought it to Stihl dealer yesterday. Today they phoned it was ready. Costs $50 for they fitted a carburator kit for the petrol was "old". The new blower was used once a month for 10 minutes, so in total till now 50 minutes to blow the drive way. Still have to collect it, I have guarantee and it is just a screw what you showed in minutes to adjust!!!
Thank you, Steve! I was getting frustrated with the decline in reliability and you've opened my eyes to the third hole! THE THIRD MAGIC HOLE! Now idling wonderfully alongside that awesome hum at full revs.
Steve, you magnificent bastard! My Stihl blower never, EVER, had the power it has now. From the day I brought it home, I always had to feather the throttle to get it to rev. Now it sounds like it has a nitrous tank on it. You da man!
Thank you so much sir! I have owned my BG55 for about 8 years. I use it mostly to blow off 2 commercial zero turn mowers. It had worked flawlessly until last week. The primer bulb started leaking so I replaced it. I could prime it and it would start but wouldn't keep running.. It would continue to run as long as I kept priming it. I ordered a carb....it came in today. I installed it right away. It started and ran on the second pull but stopped running after about 30 seconds at full throttle. I FOUND THIS VIDEO! I FOLLOWED YOUR INSTRUCTIONS. It runs perfect now! It has more power now than ever before. So again.....THANK YOU SOOOO MUCH! You sure make that beer look good.......makes me thirsty
Excellent video! After watching another video, I put in a new carburetor but it wouldn't idle at all. That video didn't show how to adjust it. Your video saved the day. My leaf blower starts and runs better than it has in years, maybe ever. Thank you so much!! 😎🤙
Fantastic presentation Steve! My almost 30 Year Stihl 72 blower now runs like new! As you said, you need to go back & forth a few times to get the adjustment screws just right! Kudos and Bravo Zulu to you!
Thank you sir for explaining the adjustments, I have a Husqvarna 125b that would shut off when the choke was closed, followed your instructions and now it idles with the choke closed and it revs a lot smoother now, luckily the adjustment tool came with the carb I replaced.
Steve, once again a huge thank you. Took my blower to have it fixed as it wouldn't run on high or low speed. Cost me $40 and I couldn't contact him by phone or at his house. Thanks to you my weed eater and blower runs like new. I'll now have a cold one in your honor ....
Popping off the limiters is key. Replaced the spark plug on my Stihl BG 55 blower and it still bogged on acceleration. Did these adjustments and it runs like it used to. While drinking Corona Premier myself. Thanks for posting these videos. You rock!
Thanks Steve!!!! Purchased a used BG 55 that wasn't running. Followed your service video and this one. Now have a 100% running blower. Thanks for taking the time to do these videos.
Just replaced the carburetor on my Husqvarna 125B and it was running rough. Let it warm up then followed your procedure to fine tune it. Worked great. I have never had much success tuning 2 cycle engines before watching your video. You made easy. I did do one thing different 😱 I used Michelob Ultra Light to fuel my brain. 🍺 Thanks!!!
I’ve been struggling with Stihl carburetors on everything I own- blower, chainsaw, string trimmer. Between the ethanol problems and bad gas I’d almost given up on them. I’ve been watching yours and other channels on cleaning and adjusting pumper carburetors and this weekend I got everything running… with the help of VP premix, ethanol free gas. Btw, my Stihl blower hi speed adj.indicated 3/4 turn out but it would hardly run. I finally pulled the restrictor collar off and had to turn the hi speed screw almost a full turn more before it ran correctly! Thanks
I was on the verge of taking my BG55 in to my local Stihl dealer for this issue, but you’ve saved the day...and some cash! Great video! Worked like a charm!
PERFECT! So many videos on You Tube has people rambling on and takes forever to get to the point, not Steve, straight to the point, very easy to understand and tells you if that doesnt work go to this video. Awesome job Steve! Love your videos. Keep em comn!
I sure appreciate this video! You showed the solution and it worked in just a few minutes. First rate videography and explanations. I did the hack with the hacksaw blade. BTW, the very first class I took in a junior college was "Small Gas Engines". I'd go to the dump and gather a bunch of discards, take them home and get a few to run. Then sell them in my front yard. Your video instruction was as good as my teachers instructions. Thanks a lot, Steve!
Steve, you do the best job of explaining and demonstrating how to adjust the carburetor of any video or written explanation or demonstration that I have found. You have always organized what you are going to say, and you explain it clearly without a bunch of extra words. It's frustrating to watch many videos by other people where they are saying "Look at this...." and their arm or body is blocking our view of the "this", or where the lighting is terrible or the camera out of focus. You don't have music. I love good music but not in instructional videos, and besides what I consider good music often doesn't include what the video uses. None of these criticisms apply to you and your videos. They are clear, precise, and we can see what you show us.
Spot on! My Husqvarna stopped idling correctly and wouldn't rev up completely all of the sudden. Checked exhaust wasn't plugged then made sure carburetor was secured properly to the engine. The proprietary carb adjust tool (HIPA) is available almost everywhere online. A few carb adjustments later, she runs and idles like new again! Thanks for Your tips!
Thankfully...as a backyard/weekend mechanic adjusting the carbs is easy for me. Same process as you show. However, I knew ZIP about locating the hidden adjustment screws. THANK YOU so much! I have a friend I was trying to help (via text) and he just couldn't grasp the adjustment process. Thankfully I found your video and shared that link with him. Perfect. Thanks again! Excellent job on the info and presentation!
I got an Echo PB250 for free that started great but died with any throttle. Adjustments on the Walbro are epoxied in. Bought a Chinese replacement carb on Amazon for $18. The new carb has screws. Runs great after following your instructions!
Thank you, Steve. No clue about what them screws were all about. I did a tune up, because it was bogging like crazy, then adjusted the idle and full throttle. It’s running mint now. Thank you.
I always love it when guys are willing to help others out vs just trying to make a sell. I have this exact blower and after 7-8 years of flawless operation it doesnt want to start. If i can get it going it will only run at full speed. At idle itll die and its extremely tough to get going. High and low speed adjusents didnt fix it. I disassembled everything, being the carb, spark arrestor, etc. Cleaned the plug, cleaned some carbon off the top of the piston, cleaned the carburetor needle and all. Still suffers from same problem. Fuel filter looked clean, couldnt find any broke or torn fuel lines. Air filter a bit dirty but same problem when i took it off. Im struggling to find an oem carb replacement and i found hundreds of knockoffs. Not sure if this is my option now since the bg55 has been discontinued but for under $20 i feel like its worth a try. If it runs i will definitely use your carb adjusting knowledge. From the factory mine had a very cold start but always started and was trouble free after it warmed up until now. This was the first year i slacked off on running stabil in it and i feel like i paid the price in both my stihl weed eater and blower. Its weird though as they were both running and after my last tank of gas i got both engines were having problems. Could be coincidence.
@@emmams5 i did fix it in a very untraditional way but first let me explain. I went ahead and bought a knockoff carb and tune up kit and replaced EVERYTHING. It worked for about 2 weeks and fell out of tune over and over and no matter what i did high and low speed adjustments did nothing. The fix was easy, after 10 min of yanking on the cord in the summer heat i smashed the blower into the pavement over and over and threw it into the trash. I was over the aggrevation you could say. I opened up amazon and bought a Milwaukee (M18) blower and havent looked back. Its trouble free and has plenty of power for my needs. I live in the woods and can typically blow all the leaves with 3ct, 5ah batteries that i have plenty of. Obviously i could benefit from an 8-12 ah battery but i have tons of the 5s on supply. This blower has never let me down, and i never thought getting gas and mixing oil was a big deal til i didnt have to do it anymore. Its one less hassle in my life and it feels awesome. Anyone with a subdivision home would greatly appreciate this blower. Larger properties could still benefit from a gas blower but ive managed to get by on electric with 1.5 acres of lawn/leafs and a 500ft driveway.
Love your delivery! So easy to follow and understand. You make it seem so matter-of-fact that even I can understand it!! My 420 is now running better than it ever has. Thanks!
Just went through this procedure with my Echo PB-250LN leaf blower. It has the carb with hidden screws. Plastic plugs came out with heated screwdriver just as Steve said they would. Adjusted Hi and Lo speed needles and thing runs better than ever. Thank you Steve!
Ahh, thank you! I faught my blower all last year, even after changing all the tubes/bulb/filter. Picked up a carb adjustment driver set for my ryobi and your video has it singing.
perfect diagnosis and cure!!!purrs like a kitten immediate response but LOUD since I pulled the spark arrestor. But have one ordered. Thank you man, I owe you one. Jim
Finally!! A proper video on how to properly adjust blower carbs, I have this Husqvarna 125BVX blower which I bought from brand new and has never run how it should. First it overheated from the lean mixture setting on the carb from the factory, I was advised on using ASPEN 2T petrol (ready mixed 50:1) which seemed to run even worse. I have since used this method and it runs perfectly but slightly on the hot side but that's ok. *FOR ANYBODY USING ASPEN 2T PETROL*.......... Use Steve's method + *ON THE HIGH SIDE SCREW* OPEN it (counter clockwise) until the rpms just start to fall and turn it back the slightest but not until it is running its fastest because it runs too hot, *ON THE LOW SIDE SCREW* Do the exact same but TURN IT BACK TO THE SWEET SPOT( The spot it runs the fastest) Then your blower should be running perfectly! This works mainly for Husqvarna blowers but it has worked on many of Stihl's I have had in the workshop. I sincerely hope this helped those who are using ASPEN 2T Petrol, thanks again to Steve for the great video!!
Smart, well explained - that is the correct way to adjust, 1.5 turns out if you have no starting point to get it running. Then Steve explained the fine tune. Very important to get it just like he said. Also why do high side 1st or does it matter?
What a hero for like four years had something wrong with it and did not wanna go to the shop. Love big beers aswell my favourite was "sol 900ml" but don't sell them here in Australia any more and asahi 500ml cans are all year round and even in the winter thanks heaps bud.
Steve, Larry here in Northern VA. Thanks for all your EXCELLENT Videos! I have learned so much from you and I recommend your channel to everyone. My 13yr old grandson is already mowi G lawns and maintains his own equipment. Your videos have really helped him learn so much. Thank you.
I love your videos. Great explanation. Right to the point. I just wish I knew how you choose the appropriate beer for the job. Maybe a separate video on this. Thanks again!
awesome video man! been watching your stuff for a while and just picked up a leaf blower that didn't run for the previous owners for free, followed the instructions in a few of your videos. rebuilt the carb, fixed the starter coil and now this things running perfect. thanks a lot for saving me money and for the rewarding experience of fixing something other people gave up on! Cheers dude keep up the great stuff!!!
Awesome. I just scored on a $20 leaf blower that is only 1-1/2 years old and all that had happened to it was the spark plug was fouled. Super nice, I'll clean it up and give the carb a tune up and get a new plug for it and it'll be all set for me to use with my small mowing business. I love it when people sell their stuff for cheap when they can't fix it so I can fix it myself and reap the benefits hehehehe. If you're handy, never buy new. At least that's how I see it 😁
You are a godsend! Absolutely love your videos and I hope you get a bunch of sponsors. Everyday I am using a small engine of some sort and being mechanically inclined you are saving me a bunch of money. Thank you very much for the videos.
I have a bolens BL110 I adjusted the carburetor the way you instructed it revs fine but it will not idle down turned out the idle set screw as far as it can go by the time you answer this I’ll be back in the states you would be the only person I know that knows what he’s doing Thank You in advance
Thanks Steve! My Stihl 56 blower was slightly bogging/hesitating when pinning the throttle from idle. Made the adjustment and now there’s zero hesitation. I found that is a good gauge when setting the low speed screw. Set it where it doesn’t bog when pinned from idle 👍🏼👍🏼
Never would have guessed not having the tube on would make it choke out when throttling. Thanks much ! Now I need to search for your video adjusting a Mantis carb.
Excellent video Steve, and much appreciated. The only thing I would do different is that I wouldn't let my Corona get hot, I'd slam mine down while it's still ice cold. Thanks Steve, I finally got my leaf blower working properly.
Steve, thank you! I have this same blower (second hand) that always bogs down and I've tried everything. This vid was the key. The high side still had the limiter so I figured tuning wasn't the problem until I popped off the limiter and adjusted. Seems the previous owner somehow turned the high side out about 8 turns (with the limiter on). Once tightened it revs like like champ. Thanks again!
Best videos on saws and this is my first on a blower. No BS, solid info and with beer. You’ve earned my likes and Sub today Sir. Most Excellent! I’ll look for more as my BG 86 runs well after warm, but is hard as hell to start every time.
I actually sold my poulan chainsaw to avoid buying the adjustment tool (I kept my ms290 and 026) then my neighbor gave me his old lawnmower, 2 leaf blowers, and a hedge trimmer. The blowers are a poulan and a craftsman (exact same machine) got one running after swapping ignition coils but needs a carburetor. I was hoping aftermarket would be flat head screws, nope, but at least they give you the tool with the new part. Took me 2 Moosehead to strip both machines to get the ignition coil off both btw 👌
i got the carb screws all out of adjustment now the engine will not start. what is the base line when backing out the screws after bottom them out (1 and 1/2 half turns or 2 or 3).
Running small engine carbs on the rich side, is there more of a risk of fouling the spark plug, spark arrestor, etc? I've been running my Echo small engines on the lean side. Not that responsive, but spark plug & arrestor screen stay clean. Thanks for all your expertise, Steve.
Another great job, Steve. Thanks!! I don't see the button to look at your other videos. I have a problem with the last item in this video - the blower revs up to full speed and after 3-4 seconds it drops about 25%. I make sure the air filter and fuel screen inside the gas tank are clean at all times. The little exhaust screen (anti-spark screen) is black but fully open. I set the carb like you taught us in this video. Thoughts? Thanks again!
I enjoy all of your videos...I have stihl products...chainsaw, leaf blower, weed eater. You videos are very informative, easy to follow and of course I love your signature of a cold beer w/ every video. I am a bit of a self made chef and that too is my signature...a cold beer, mixed drink, and/or glass of wine w/ every meal prepared. I only post on FB, but considering starting my own UTube channel. You do an awesome job!
I have a house at close to sea level and one at about 7400 feet elevation. Will I need to readjust each time I go from one house to the other? Or, will one adjustment work for both locations? Great video by the way. Thank you!
My craftsman leaf blower only has an idle speed adjustment and a mixture adjustment which also has a limiter cap on it. Do us have a video on something similar ? What is the correct procedure for this system? You are now my go to guy for the best instructional videos for small engines.

Steve, once again a huge thank you. Took my blower to have it fixed as it wouldn't run on high or low speed. Cost me $40 and I couldn't contact him by phone or at his house. Thanks to you my weed eater and blower runs like new. I'll now have a cold one in your honor ....
Right on
Popping off the limiters is key. Replaced the spark plug on my Stihl BG 55 blower and it still bogged on acceleration. Did these adjustments and it runs like it used to. While drinking Corona Premier myself. Thanks for posting these videos. You rock!
Thank You...
Thanks Steve!!!! Purchased a used BG 55 that wasn't running. Followed your service video and this one. Now have a 100% running blower. Thanks for taking the time to do these videos.
Great to hear!
Just replaced the carburetor on my Husqvarna 125B and it was running rough. Let it warm up then followed your procedure to fine tune it. Worked great. I have never had much success tuning 2 cycle engines before watching your video. You made easy.
I did do one thing different 😱
I used Michelob Ultra Light to fuel my brain. 🍺
Thanks!!!
LOL! Right on Mike....
Great to hear!
PERFECT! So many videos on You Tube has people rambling on and takes forever to get to the point, not Steve, straight to the point, very easy to understand and tells you if that doesnt work go to this video. Awesome job Steve! Love your videos. Keep em comn!
Thank You...
Had the same problem. It is solved now thanks to you Steve. Thank you. Took me less than one beer!
You're Welcome...
Great to hear!
Thank You...
Great lesson! Still relevant in 2024… thanks 👍🏽👍🏽
Glad to hear it!
Nice work!
Right on Buddy....
I got an Echo PB250 for free that started great but died with any throttle. Adjustments on the Walbro are epoxied in. Bought a Chinese replacement carb on Amazon for $18. The new carb has screws. Runs great after following your instructions!
Right on...
Thank you, Steve. No clue about what them screws were all about. I did a tune up, because it was bogging like crazy, then adjusted the idle and full throttle. It’s running mint now. Thank you.
You're Welcome...
Buy a new plug, your old one might be going bad no matter what you try to do with it. I've come across this a lot.
@07slowbalt, did you fix your blower, if so, what was the remedy?
Larger properties could still benefit from a gas blower but ive managed to get by on electric with 1.5 acres of lawn/leafs and a 500ft driveway.
the best 2 stroke small engine specialist 💁♂️
Thank You...
I would check the spark plug, air filter, and spark arrester first before adjusting the carburetor. Thanks for posting the video.
Me too, it’s the only way to know 😊
Love your delivery! So easy to follow and understand. You make it seem so matter-of-fact that even I can understand it!! My 420 is now running better than it ever has. Thanks!
I appreciate that!
Just went through this procedure with my Echo PB-250LN leaf blower. It has the carb with hidden screws. Plastic plugs came out with heated screwdriver just as Steve said they would. Adjusted Hi and Lo speed needles and thing runs better than ever. Thank you Steve!
You're Welcome...
Steve, you are a great teacher! Your videos are clear and crisp and easy to understand. They are 100% accurate. You have helped me a lot! Thanks.
Thank You...and You're Welcome...
I never can't find the sweet spot, but this time I did it. Thanks for sharing this vid.
Glad I could help
Ahh, thank you!
I faught my blower all last year, even after changing all the tubes/bulb/filter. Picked up a carb adjustment driver set for my ryobi and your video has it singing.
Nice work!
perfect diagnosis and cure!!!purrs like a kitten immediate response but LOUD since I pulled the spark arrestor. But have one ordered. Thank you man, I owe you one. Jim
Right on Jimmy....
Take a blow torch and a wire brush to your spark arrestor. That’ll clean it right up
Right on...
Now that's the best explanation I've heard
Thank You...
You're Welcome...
Steve, Larry here in Northern VA. Thanks for all your EXCELLENT Videos! I have learned so much from you and I recommend your channel to everyone. My 13yr old grandson is already mowi
G lawns and maintains his own equipment. Your videos have really helped him learn so much. Thank you.
Wow, thanks
good work stevo nothing like a shed, beer and 2 stoke noise im going to adjust mine now cheers mate
Right on
Love your style on explaining things. Really good detail and not too fast or slow.
Thank You...
Essentially the same as you would on a whipper snipper
Great video mate keep them coming
My big landscaping blower was doing the same thing. This did the trick!
Awesome!
That is awesome!
At least that's how I see it 😁
Did this and WOW !!!! It runs better than out of the shop that cost me 65 bucks ! Thanks Steve
You're Welcome...
Excellent help. My Husq leaf blower is running great now. I knew all it needed was a cab adjustment.
Thank You...
You are a godsend! Absolutely love your videos and I hope you get a bunch of sponsors. Everyday I am using a small engine of some sort and being mechanically inclined you are saving me a bunch of money. Thank you very much for the videos.
Thank You...and You're Welcome...
A very complete explanation. Good job and keep going. Thank you for such a great video.
Thank You...and You're Welcome...
Perfect video with great close ups and explanation….thanks Steve.
You're Welcome...
I would have never taken off the limiter cap if I didn’t watch your video. Now my blower is running like it should. Thanks!!!
You're Welcome...
@@StevesSmallEngineSaloonshould we reinstall the caps when done adjusting them?
Awesome video! My issue is that it won’t stay running without some choke
Never would have guessed not having the tube on would make it choke out when throttling. Thanks much ! Now I need to search for your video adjusting a Mantis carb.
Awesome video. I have a Poulan Pro chain saw that seems to be having issues with the carb and this video explains it perfectly.
Thank You...
Thanks Steve you really made that simple.
You're Welcome...
You're Welcome...
Just did this on my BG55 after replacing the carb. Thanks again Steve!
You're Welcome...
I've got a new Husqvarna blower and it is running sluggish on acceleration now that it is broken in. I'll try this tomorrow!
Good luck!
Great instruction here for the Corner Man and other DIY people... thumbs up.!!
Thank you! Cheers!
Bought that set of screwdrivers from amazon. 10 bucks. Thanks
You're Welcome...
Best videos on saws and this is my first on a blower. No BS, solid info and with beer. You’ve earned my likes and Sub today Sir. Most Excellent! I’ll look for more as my BG 86 runs well after warm, but is hard as hell to start every time.
"I love that sound" -- I know exactly what you mean. Thanks Steve! Great video.
You're Welcome...and Thank You...
Good work my man.. I use a little .. Homenade 110 -120 proof....made with lemons this time. Sip or two does it.
Took me 2 Moosehead to strip both machines to get the ignition coil off both btw 👌
great video mine does not like warmer wearther so i think it just needs to run a little leaner
Cheers brother! With your help, got my blower running like new! 👍🍻
Great to hear!
great job!! thank you
Our pleasure!
i got the carb screws all out of adjustment now the engine will not start. what is the base line when backing out the screws after bottom them out (1 and 1/2 half turns or 2 or 3).
You are so very helpful. Thanks 👊👍
Happy to help!
Running small engine carbs on the rich side, is there more of a risk of fouling the spark plug, spark arrestor, etc? I've been running my Echo small engines on the lean side. Not that responsive, but spark plug & arrestor screen stay clean. Thanks for all your expertise, Steve.
Do you have a video on a carb adjustment for a ts410?
Another great job, Steve. Thanks!! I don't see the button to look at your other videos. I have a problem with the last item in this video - the blower revs up to full speed and after 3-4 seconds it drops about 25%. I make sure the air filter and fuel screen inside the gas tank are clean at all times. The little exhaust screen (anti-spark screen) is black but fully open. I set the carb like you taught us in this video. Thoughts? Thanks again!
Another great video,Thanks alot.I have learn alot, from you.
So nice of you
That's awesome advice, Steve but what if your leafblower has a single screw carb?
Great video.. do we have any echo leaf blower videos?
Great Tutorial. You are my new Martha Stewart Steve. cheers!
Rock on!
I'd love to see you do a strip down on Stihl KGA770 cordless sweeper. Same as MasterSweeper.
Thank You...
Always helpful steve
Thank You...
Thanks Steve I got my leaf blower perfectly adjusted
Excellent!
Great video! I thought I was going to have to take my blower in for service. You saved me some dough! Thank you!
No problem 👍
You, sir, are a life saver. Thank you.
Glad to help
Thanks Steve, I'd just about thrown out my 125 B Husqvarna . Running like a top.
Right on!
