Idk about anyone else, but I'd be super interested in an episode about your tools, favorite tools, and the different chemicals you use for everything, etc
So much attention to detail and a near superhuman work ethic -and commentary delivered in a wonderfully quirky style that is genuinely amusing you do an amazing job keep up the quality content!
🏁
Thanks!

The glue reference was a sad reminder of a particularly frightening day.
Great job Sarah stay safe and enjoy the Xmas season 😊🇦🇺👍
Slow down ffs
We don’t want this finished soon when it’s as enjoyable as all the other builds
Remember I’m long time love you 😎
Such a sweet ride
The stance is unbelievable 🏴
Two reasons why I keep coming here: the 70s/80s cars and your sass, Sarah. Don't change.
For putting holes in carpet, use a cheap pencil soldering iron. Pokes the hole and seals the carpet strands so it won't fray. 🙂
You can use a propane torch and a piece of brass or copper tubing also. Hold the tubing with vice grips. Use painters tape to get the location correct and the hot tubing will become the perfect cookie cutter. Mark once, poke once. Perfecto.
Hot tubing melts stuff instantly, so protect anything you plan on enjoying.
Sarah.... I hope you're happy... You make a lot of other people happy!
Impressive resilience picking up a can of spray adhesive -- glue-pocalypse '22 was a dark time.
Period-correct carpet together with those Recaros ... aww yeah.
I actually made and involuntarily sound when I saw how cool the colour of that carpet is! This car is everything! ❤❤❤
Thanks for your videos, they always make me happy . More context, I am a mechanic, 50 years experience so I appreciate your knowledge, and your comedy.
Those Recaro's are ACE!
This is one of my all-time favorite projects of any kind on RUclips. That car is tight. You absolutely rule.
I'm not usually a fan of aftermarket wheels on these classics, but those gun metals look great contrasted with this body paint. Love it.
That's because these wheels have been in production since before the car was new.
Anyone know the brand of those wheels?
@@bulltastik Watanabe
We don't get to see any header fab? Along with body and paint work?@@SarahnTuned
@@SarahnTuned exactly but that's combined with your near perfect aesthetic for period correct upgrades! There were a lot of wheels available during the prime of this Celica's life you traveled through time perfectly and got it right.
The doom metal riff while using the doom blade was perfect...thank you.
I LITERALLY saw that robot bird thats happy to see you in that carpet….. well done Sarah. Well done.
I absolutely adore you, Sarah! You are delightful. You make adapting messed up aftermarket car parts to an obsessive project an exercise in satire and short story!
Sarah…. I hope Toyota writes you and thanks, you for your outstanding dedication to this car and the process! I’m truly frustrated that you do not have millions of subbers! Your content is a class of its own! Be it as it may, I’m watching you since you had about 5k subs so keep rocking!
Don’t focus on the number of subscribers a channel has now, it’s become irrelevant due to Shorts rendering that metric pointless as it doesn’t relate to quality of content or health of a channel.
That was seventeen minutes of delight! I just sat here with a big stupid smile, looking at your silliness, and learning something about cars I never experienced before.
As a person on the internet who watches videos that have to do with automobiles, this has been a fun build to watch 🙂 Love the attention to detail!
The time and passion you put into your content is more than appreciated 🇬🇧 thank you
Thank you for doing it right. So nice to watch someone work on a car that actually cares about outcome.
I did not know that cars could care about outcome..lol.
Be careful when climbing Sara! Adults don't bounce very well.
I never thought I'd find myself so excited about interior carpet before watching your channel, but here we are. It looks great!
Sarah don’t ever die. You’re not allowed.❤ Your attention to detail ……….!
for something that you sit in and connect with the car everytime you drive, the seats is worth it!
Seat brackets are typically lower in the rear. That way, as the seat slides back for taller people, it also lowers. Great work, as always!
My complements to those who instilled your remarkable work ethic. Sarah you are like super human
Great job Sarah your attention to detail is over the top ❤❤
Can't believe how far you've come Sarah!! From a small garage to a nice shop can't wait to see what the future holds for you and the awesome videos 👍.
I always enjoy watching you work.
I really enjoy watching your channel. You have a great sense of humor and I like that you don't hide the "real" parts of this work
I generally like to see more of the traditional US iron but you've made it all interesting. You, as always look pretty amazing working on cars. 😊
If you are having trouble peeling your masking tape, put the roll in the microwave for 30 to 60 seconds. Works great to save an old roll that just tears when you try to unroll it!
I have to admit when you said you were going to use the spatula of doom, and you turned it on and the blade fell off. I damn near died. That Celica is gonna be bad ass when you get through with it. I’ve watched all your videos and just looking at the wheels and tires that you have on it. It’s just awesome. Can’t wait to hear the engine run. ✌️
Use a punch and torch for you screw/bolt holes. Nice clean holes and no fraying. Same goes with the razor knife, heat the blade to make your "cuts"! I enjoy watching your content! I've been doing this stuff for a while myself, though I've never started a channel!
Love this series! Something was up with RUclips yesterday. I got part way through the video and then it stalled out and I had to come back today for the other half. So worth it.
The 2 different offset seating positions come from the different seat mountings from RHD to LHD cars.
Those seats look great! Great project! Its coming together looking amazing!
natural mechanical design mod with a ToYo 2UZ v8...amazing!!🤟
Love watching you work through issues and doing my best to work through my issues understanding your sense of humor.
What a great project, you go girl!
Back in the day, we v8'd all kinds of cars, Vega's, Pinto's, etc. but I have to admit; never the Celica. Most likely because they were saught after and to expensive to find. Fast forward to today, I haven't even seen a Celica here in the PNW in forever...
Nice project 🎉
Nice work. Most people don't understand how daunting a task like this project is (or how much it really costs) - but you do it much like how you eat an elephant - one bite at a time.
Been really enjoying this build. Amazed at your resourcefulness for parts!
It is coming along nicely Sarah. That new carpeting is absolutely going to change that interior.
I've said it before, it's so hard for people, er customers, to understand how something like laying carpet that's already moulded to fit can take days to install but to do it right, it does!
So much care and attention to detail. Your the best young lady. So excited for your build. 🏎️💨
Detail! I don't stop being amazed by Sarah's commitment to detail, like matching the primer!
Love it!
(I went to Disneyland in Florida for a week once, and it's a detail fanatic's delight!).
I'm working on an '08 Acura TL right now. My experience so far is: success, success, setback, setback, setback, success, setback, setback... Top work Sarah, that Celica is gonna ROCK! 🎶It was a quarter from 69, oh yeah ... Hey Judte.🎵
"The spatula of doom." LOL It's amazing there are companies out there who have figured out how to make a living reproducing the things you are finding like the full carpet set and underlying jute soundproofing, etc. When you're done with this restoration and heart transplant, Toyota should buy this from you for $1M and display it in their headquarters.
I don't believe it will EVER be for sale
I LOVE THAT CAR !!!
I remember them from my childhood, along with the Datsun 280z... and never could decide which one I liked better. I can only imagine either one with an LS swap...
Thanks!
Thank You!
Perfection and love for detail went up again! Colomatching primer! Wow ,wow ,wow and so entertaining to watch! I love this channel and the sheer love you put into your builds!
Sarah, you can’t die. I need your humor. And thank the lord you aren’t working with Human Resource department.
Great to view your videos. Encouraging for us enthusiasts. A 1987 A70 Supra is being restored here. I like how you upgraded the Brakes, and Rims on the the 1982 Supra.
I had for the longest time a large paperback book on early Toyota Racing Machines, TRD and your car was a big part of the book Sara.
Spatula of Doom. When in use the video plays Doom Metal. Makes perfect sense!!! Amazing project!!
I can not wait to hear and see that thing rip. I have a 2005 GX470, so I know all about the 2UZ-FE. I want to see if forged internals and beefier rods make for reliable performance mods foundations. In stock form, the 2UZ-FE is a low rev torque engine. I always thought that well thought out mods could turn into a 285 cubic inch BEAST. Very few people modify these engines for out of stock performance specs.
Yeah, so I changed the powerband when I raised the compression and upgraded the cams. It’ll be even more square in power delivery, with torque and horsepower likely being a similar figure.
Yup, that sure is coming together nicely. Great choice of seat too. Really suits the vehicle. 👌
To help with those seats. They look so sweet and defiantly need to pass the bolstering test. Especially with that V8 rumbling under the hood.
My first car was a 76 celica coupe just like this one. It was beautiful. I totalled it two days after I got it. Rear ended a subaru. This was Jan 1984.
I really think that with the high quality content you put out each week you should consider sponsored video's. I really don't think that any of us viewers would mind. Also it could lead to you going even higher level if that's possible 😂. Thanks for another great video Sarah
While financially it’s stupid of me not to, I take pride in not being an “influencer”. If it was a product I truly stood behind I would have no issue getting paid to say nice things.
I love those old Celicas. I've had 2 73's, a 77, and a 81. The 77gt rocked, I could rebuild the engine in a day and a half. Front brakes... 45 mins. It was fun, fast, dependable and handled great. Why don't they make them like that anymore!? I would love to hAve another. Nice to see another girl who wrenches... Are we wenches with wrenches? Haha
Hey Sarah, great job the seats are pretty much perfect just like the TT have a great one as always🐧🐧🐧👍
Always had a soft spot for this kind of car,but none had flickin V8s in them!SUPER COOL(builder and car)Goodluck, happy miles.😎👍✌🇨🇦
Sarah, those Recaro seats are gorgeous. Plus I understand your aftermarket pains. There's never an aftermarket part that just fits. :_-(
nearly 13k views and it's just an hour after posting. rock it don't stop it
I look forward to seeing this project completed but I thoroughly enjoy watching the entire process. I appreciate the humor and the production style of your videos. Strong work.
Its really coming together now, not as hard to imagine what itll look like when done
I think you do a fine job "test fitting",,, you also do a fine job on these car builds,,,, awesome work on this Celica
I really enjoy your videos and apreciate the attention to detail that you put into the work that you do.
Thanks for spreading a little light in the December gloom - exactly what I needed after a misserable day ❤
I love the 2UZ-FE engine! I have them in both my GX470 and LX470. It's such an awesome upgrade.
What a relief to see a pro take almost as much time as I do to make progress!
when spraying bare metal u can add to the adhesion by using etch primer. one thin coat then the red oxied over the top
You have to do pretty much what I used to do. Climbing and moving crates & boxes of stuff to get the right stuff. Sucks when you don't have a fully stocked & organized nascar garage. Always a blast watching your videos. This car is looking so cool already.
I like the way you pay attention to the details... very meticulous. A heat gun would have helped on the backside of carpet (a little heat) just to get it formed in the deep areas. I can't stop watching this channel. Keep it up!
glad you got the cool seats
11:51 idea glue a strip of velco under that flapper doodle on the floor to hold it closed then you can open and close it 100's 1000's of times just another thought
wow Sarah you are so accomplished. when i started watching you were so eager to learn now you are so eager to teach.
Amazing work Sarah ! Thanks .
love to see you had pleasure trying the Recaro .
Things like color matching the iron oxide that Toyota used in production are the reasons I love your builds. Bonus points for Zack & Miri references too.
The car looks awesome! Classic but modern 2. Love the wheels and tires and exterior color.
I love the content, and I learn so much. This is the first time I think i have seen somthing done sub optimally, and I both don't want to cast shade and freely admit I could be wrong, but flipping that bracket around for the seat mount will let the seat sag. It's not braced in the right direction. Kind of like when they fix a saggy gate, one way the brace works, the other way let's it sag anyway. Might not be a big deal for the weight that seat will have to hold though.
My day is always better on days Sarah posts a new video. Always amazed (and never bored) by the commitment, level of detail, video production quality/editing, educational information… and of course the quirky sense of humor and word choices that immediately put a smile on my face. “Sarah-n-Tuned” is the BEST thing on tv/stream/intrawebs.
But it looks like we don't get to see any header fabrication
I love watching her work.
The interior is looking great. Getting to work on interesting projects like this were the highlights of the years I worked in auto upholstery.
If you plan on using the rear floor, either for passenger feet or personal items, I recommend softening the top surface of the reinforcement rails, as the edges of the square tubing will become wear lines on the carpet. You could potentially flank them with pieces of 2" XPS foam insulation board with radiused outer edges, so instead of a 2"(?) wide ridges with radii of a few mm, you would have 6" wide ridges with up to 2" radii, distributing the friction zone over a much wider area.
Really liked the second day hair and top look
This is such a beautiful build! I think your aesthetic/taste when it comes to mods and part selection is just so on point. The wheels, the fender flares, and now those Recaros... just a total dream car! Great work, love seeing this come together!
The carpet, exterior paint and outfits - set off the Burnt Sierra warning on my iPad
Sarah you killed it this yr
Never stop wrenching beautiful
Beautiful. The car ain't bad either 😊
THE 4:20 quote of the year. you are beyond my dreams.
Very cool 74 Celica. Saraha your gorgeous!!
When Sarah the Fabra Cobbler Extraordinaire is on the job!
Thanks
Doing carpet right is such a pain. Great to see you are all about doing it as correct as you can.
I’m happy to see you getting back on this project! You have done so much to it !
You need to discover the power of Coil Cleaner. Works better for general cleaning than almost anything else. It lifts dirt and crap from the surface, then you just wipe it off, rinse it off, or blow it off with air.
tip to peeling blue tape or that kind of tape. toss it up on your dash of the car you are driving 1 day prior to use let it warm up in the sun or from your defroster. it will peel perfect every time. can also keep it in the house too..
These are terrific ! Well done 👍
Humour is delightful 🙂
being such a perfectionist - it is a wonder you ever finish anything, However, brilliant to watch someone with so much enthusiasm for a project.
Bolt seat rails in first put adapter on then bolt seat on , I used the factory runners and some strips of flat plate ,, are the new seats narrower than factory seats 😎
you do such a great job on your cars
