"I'd rather be safe and look like an idiot than look like an idiot because I WASN'T safe."
Words to live by.
Powerful message.
Who is the quote from?
@@WarriorsPhoto Sarah - in this very video.
maybe literally
@spdcrzy - agreed. Nice that a subscriber sent her that under hoist jack 👍
statement worthy of a SnT merch!
What would cool would be some footage of you enjoying your cars? The Bronco camping stuff was great but jump in the Quattro, blast a road and grab a coffee. There has to be balance!
I try to avoid the stereotypical “influencer” narcissist look at me videos.
@@SarahnTuned then make it about the car… I bet that Bronco likes 1 cream 2 sugars…
@@SarahnTuned what about inviting little Sarah for a couple of test drives with your vehicles and while you're filming that you two grab some coffee or ice cream or whatever?
We apreciate you for your hard work but we also would like to see you finally enjoying your builds.
I know you're doing this for a living but i'm pretty shure doing some driving videos will also bring some numbers of views and clicks.
Maybe you do it in the style of your car reviews?
Put some gopros on and go for a rip, no talking necessary!
The enjoyment makes all the hard work worth it!
Sarah, your unfiltered thoughts are what make you, YOU. Never filter yourself, that's part of your charm 😉
The filtering is probably done during editing.. but ya, ain't nobody givin Sarah the gears for not bein wicked smart..
A big brain, and all the perception required, is all anybody needs.
It's all about the intellect, delivered with some Sassy humor..
Nice delivery..
Playing it safe never made anyone look like an idiot. Sarah, I spent 17 years investigating workplace accidents and fatalities and another 12 years safety consulting and have seen things no one should ever have to see. The majority caused by inattention or being in a hurry. Please continue to keep safety in mind because it only takes a split second to make a bad day. I always enjoy your videos. God bless!
I’m a big fan of this upgrade. Good to see MR Dos get some love. It will be nice to get the full tune on it so we can get a complete review with all the horses.
Mr. Dos is museum quality, you should be super proud. This is a OEM+ perfect car. Two thumbs up Sarah 👍👍
Totally agree , the value of this car will surely rocket over time in this condition. Well done Sarah …. You have mad skills 👌👌
Nice Beavis sound bite!
The MR2 is my favorite car you have Sarah. You have done a phenomenal job on it.
Your humor is radiating.
Glad to see Mr. Dos!
Mr. Dos.......I missed you.
I absolutely love what you’ve done to this MR2. I miss mine, it’s the only vehicle I’ve owned that I regret getting rid of. The T-tops were a leaky ass vibe
Yay Mr Dos, nice Bilstein started to make the dampers again. Thank you for the playlists been enjoying those when working late.
so satisfying seeing such a meticulously clean/detailed car. I’d be just as happy admiring it gleaming in the garage vs driving it and knowing it’s better than showroom shine is going away. Love the latest gear dialing in MR.DOS.
Live Stream Yes please. We’re part of your Patreon Crew effective today. Looking forward to many years supporting your journey.
Front wheel drive subframe in the back of the MR2 .That's why the Macpherson strut is in the rear👍👍
Thank you for reviving the mr2 series. I just purchased the same struts and am piecing the rest of the struts tower together now. This video along with your others are so helpful, I can’t thank you enough.
The Mister with the most has returned!
❤ this channel. Thanks Sarah.
Mr Dos is such a beautiful car, just shows what perfection can be achieved ❤ Thank you Sarah!
I own a Honda Beat, a Japanese mid-engine car of the same generation as the MR2. Although it has a very small body and a small displacement (660cc) NA engine, it can spin up to 8500rpm and is a very fun car.
I've been restoring an MR2 for 4 years because of you Sarah! :) I'm still impressed with the mechanical skills on the channel, please please keep Mr. Dos on the channel with the Zenki lights!
Your MR2 and Ranger are my FAV builds. SOOOOOO CLEAN !
👍😊 your fine just pace yourself.
You really don't have to upload more than one video a week Sarah. Everything you do is great and we're not going anywhere.
How awesome is that, that Bilstein brought back into production the strut that Sarah needed for Her special ride. They should sell them now as a Sarah Signiture Edition Series. That MR2 is worth at least a Gazillion dollars now that Sarah put Her magic spell on this mid-engine gem. Beautiful, Sarah, the care and craft you put into this Toyota. Beautiful U are 🎧 & thanx 4 the mix 🎶
That Pigeon had a very rough family life 🥲, and is a inspiration overcoming his addictions.😅
Your music choices are quite excellent.
How do you find them?
I said it before, I worked at Toyota back when these were new and I knew they were special! This channel fits right into my wheelhouse with the Cummins, Celicas, MR2! Keep up the great work and bringing us old guys some excellent content, Sarah! ~WilPaul
Much awaited, much appreciated, looking forward to excellent work as always from you.
RE: Block Assembly Fuse and Relay box under hood - Literally going through the same thing with my 99 Land Cruiser...Replacing whole box. I can't complain though, the first one lasted 290K miles. OEM, FTW...especially with Mr. T.
I miss the old myspace. This video was a good one, I enjoy watching your videos to see the way that you explain things in good detail.
MySpace was the superior social media.
@@leolimabeansThat it defintely was!
Blast from the past I love it the MR2 is still my favorite build rewiring the doors was how I found your channel great video
I love your videos even more after knowing your previous career time. I can see it showing its face through your vocabulary choices.
Yeeeeeeeeeees another Spotify play list. THANK YOU 🎉
Glad to see that you used a foam weatherstrip on the fan shroud, to prevent metal on metal. In 1985 I purchased a new 4Runner and I installed running boards on it. I really don't like the idea of drilling through the pinch at the bottom of the rocker panels because of bare metal being exposed. I also did't like the metal running board sandwiching against the metal of the seam pinch of the 4runner. I put one inch foam along the pinch so there was no metal against metal. I also applied silicone to the drilled out holes, installed the bolts, and had the washer shoulder coated with silicone, as well was the back side. Had it for 27 years in Alberta, Canada winters, and not one speck of rust where the running boards sat.
I drive on a lot of gravel roads. Yesterday I replaced the brake light on my 07 Outback. When I took the assembly off there was lots of dust. I started to reassemble and the Sarah voice in my head said "you're going to clean that aren't you?" I did.
Looking forward to this, love my 95 MR2. Managed to rub off the windshield wash graphic from the end of the wiper stalk when cleaning the interior and on the hunt for a replacement graphic/decal.. any MR2 lovers have any leads👍 morale is be careful with APC!
Factory big brake upgrades are so satisfying to install. Lookin forward to seein it
Nice to see the MR2 getting some love again. You done wonders with that car since you first got it.
I always preferred Bilstein to every other shock on the market. I sold them for years and never had a return.
The larger brake rotor will not result in shorter stopping distances unless your rotors were overheating and fading.
As race engineers know tires actually stop a car; race brakes just deal with the heat.
Your past and current projects are absolutely awesome, but always get excited when you say new project car!!!
Failing to filter thoughts before putting them out is a feature of your channel, not a bug.🤩
More details than the factory 😁
Omg yes. So glad to see the MR2 back . This is why I subscribe to your channel because of this beautiful red MR2 Turbo. Love Love that Car. .
Yes.
Thanks!
Love your content, attention to detail, and quirky disposition.
The MR2 videos are great. Can’t wait for the driving portion so we can see the AWESOMENESS!🎉🎉
Thanks Sarah
Nice preserving the vintage feel while upgrading where needed.
Absolutely yes on the livestream if you have the time and energy. Since a Mr. Dos video was what made me a subscriber long ago, whenever you post a new one it’s exquisitely nostalgic. And every time I see those white wheels I marvel at how they’re just perfect for that ‘90s look. Thanks as always, Sarah. 👍👍👍
I am sending you praise for actually applying tire shine on the RIGHT way.
You have no idea how glad I am that Mr.Dos has a new video!!
Yay the MR2 is back. Loved the build process on this , that you did some while ago now.
Please wear your safety glasses to protect those pretty eyes when working under the car!
So happy to see Mr. Dos getting some love! Great, upbeat video!
Love your work ethic!! Radiator fan story: My brother-in-law bought a Fiat 124 without an engine and proceeded to drop a small block Buick aluminium V8 into it. Worked great except for overheating. Problem was he had wired one fan to pull air through, while the second was wired in reverse. Cooling was fine after some re-wiring of the errant fan.
I love your HUGE FAN pun. so funny. all of your quirky jokes - luv em.
😂😂😂😂🎉❤ " im a huge fan of this upgrade" 😂😂😂 you are such a fabulous dork 😂🎉🎉🎉❤❤
For heat shrinking wires and melting solder I use those lighters that look like a little jet engine. I guess they are used for pipes?
Love the MR2, never really liked the looks of the 1st gen but this particular body style doesn't have a bad angle.
The details that you have addressed are spot on kind of like the Supra.
Hardest worker on RUclips. No BS. Much ❤️ but you need to REST, dang!
Your attention to detail is unmatched. If I didn’t have the ability to fix cars I would 100% trust you to fix and/or modify my vehicles
I had a set of >92 turbo brake calipers with the mr2heaven kit and supra discs. Worked great! For the front you can also swap 3000gt calipers and lathed down rx8 discs ✌🏽
A very fun car to drive.
Great upgrades for Mr DOS. I would agree with you on using factory parts. Also like the Beavis sound bite👍
I'd love to see a quick drive on the Dos
Hey Sarah, awesome fan upgrade really help especially in AZ. also, on the next shake down put the spare tire and jack in the front should help with the weight. I lost my 91 in 2016. Haven’t driven one sense but always really enjoyed it and it was pretty much bone stock except for the wheels and tires, but I still think it was one of funnest cars I’ve ever driven, Perma smile for sure. looking forward to the final tune, and some sort of road trip. Have fun as always.🐧🐧🐧👍
That MR2 looks sweeettttttt....!
BTW a bit of vibration dampening material on the inner door frames should give it that satisfying "clunk" when they're closed.
91 here, def listening to the playlist... The small details and quality parts on your vehicles is top tier.
The Sarayotas are getting so much love!
I'm still waiting for you to find the antenna for it 😆
Hahaha
your lack of filter is the best thing about you! i get a laugh every time
I remember when you did that wiring harness. I believe it was in your kitchen on the table. That's when I gained a lot of respect of you. I was a mechanic for over 40 years and that was the one thing I hated was wiring and how tedious. It must have been to rewire that old harness. Kudos to you Sarah. See you again on the next one
Just downloaded the Supra, Celica, and MR2 playlists. You got some great taste in music, girl. Keep rockin'!
Long time fan I remember when you got the Mr2, I must say this video was shocking and to see now you have two new big fans I hope you don’t let it go to your head and can keep your cool lol love what you do and thank you for sharing always a pleasure to watch your videos take care always.
These are such great cars it's a shame nobody makes anything like it anymore.
and we fellow late 80's kids commend you on your musical choices.
My old AW11 was terrifying the way it would lock the front wheels on any even slightly damp roads.
Was always jealous that the SW20 had basic ABS.
I built mates mk2 rev3 mr2 for the Mr2 championship in the UK and we ran the Bilstien shocks with custom springs which was in the regulations for the series.
Toyota do Crash bolts for the SW20 which gives you camber. and Whiteline also make camber bolts which is what we used.
Rev 3 N/A runs the big brakes all round the car brakes so well its ridiculous and we were not allowed grooved discs just expensive pads is what made the difference
OOOoOOooo MR DOS with hardware accessories! Im a big fan too...
Holy crap. Just realized how long I’ve been following you. 😯
Hey Sara...What A Nice Car..Burgundy/Wine Red has always been my color of choice. Enjoy Mr. Dos...and Thank you For the Awesome Playlist. You Rock!
Congratulations on the new brake calipers! Eyes got wide on that revision! Thank you for all your hard work. It is truly appreciated.
Love the Tee shirt!
I'm so happy! Mr Dos is the original reason I started following you 3 years ago, and I love seeing more content about this. Of all the cars you've reviewed or owned, this is by far my favorite. Looking fantastic, and thank you so much for the new playlist, already added it to my collection.
Fantastic, I really enjoyed that, thanks. And it's great to know another MR2 vid will be on it's way soon!
Love the MR2 !!! Plus yes absolutely do a live stream 👏🏻
You should travel to Japan and tour the main car makers factories. Nissan, Toyota, Subaru, Mitsubishi, et al. Maybe some sponsors could pay for you to spend 2 months over there. And film riding the bullet trains. Great work as always.
I miss my white 91 NA T-top. Got it used around 94-96..and i just loved it. Even had what looked like a dealer installed car phone..LOL. The car here that you have built would cost 40k to buy or restore. Breaks my heart. Amazing job Sarah!
Thank you Sarah!
You can get OE camber bolts, used to fit them back in the day. They had a odd tyre wear issue on that model and it was a big push to get the alignment correct by Toyota. The stock bolts will have two lines on the head. The adjustable bolts have two lines and one,two or three dots to indicate the amount of adjustment you’re adding so one dot 15 minutes, two dots 30 mins etc.
Most MR2 turbos I drove were JDM with aftermarket suspension and rode like a bucking horse 😂. Too low and too stiff!
I've never been in either generation MR2. I was always curious of the fun factor of supercharged versus turbocharged would be. I always wanted one of the supercharged models back in the day.
I truly would appreciate another live stream.🌹♥️🌹
great progress!!
Everytime i am amazed at how you can work with those claws XD
Can’t wait for you to rebuild a Datsun 240 Z. Epic vehicle deserving of your minutiae attention.
on some tripods, there is hook where you can hang some ballast for improved stability
Have I mentioned lately that I enjoy watching your videos?
rear camber bolts are great. you can even get 2 per side for EXTRA camber (not quite stance, maybe needed for autocross)
That playlist takes me back. Thx @Sarah -n- Tuned!
