Is this solenoid roughly in the same position for a 307 2.0L petrol engine? Thankyou
@@johnsbackwithcommonsense7628 Yes I thinks it's in the same place on the 2.0 petrol engine

Thank you for you reply.
A very good educational video and good photography (pro-quality), without any bullshit. I learned a lot from you. Thank u. Keep it up!
Thank you for watching :)
Thank you man I cleaned mine today its now better working
Thanks for watching !
I wish it was this easy to remove on my Peugeot 207 GTi, I've been wiggling the bloody thing around down the back of the engine for about an hour and its jammed in there tight and barely any room to get a grip on it.
It would have been great to hear a before and after engine running so we could hear what difference that clean made.....
I suppose to prevent this , I always use an engine oil flush when changing my oil and filter . I use either AmsOil or Liqui-Moly .
I cleaned and rinsed such valves many times, it only helped once (then the mesh was really very clogged).
Thank youu sooooo much for video!!! Just tell me what are the symptoms of bad or dirty VANOS? My C4 is petrol, but sounds like deasel. Is that one of symptoms?
it was necessary to remove the retaining ring, get the plunger, clean it, check the ease of movement and install it back
The screw was thigten with some specific momentum or just thighten to sit good?
Looks good that engine shame it's not the engine that's in my car though
are these engines pretty realiable do they do 200000
Excellent video
Does this Carb cleaner safe on o rings ?
Thank you
You're welcome
Mines had a small bar with ridges and a spring at the tip

very helpful video thank you for posting it.i had a question did you disconnect your car battery before you start to work?
Yes I did

It's easier to detect when the car is only idling
Before cleaning was the idling bad?
It was a bit rough
I currently have engine light on my dash because of a VVT failure. I've ordered a new one. I'll be fitting it myself but just wanted to ask. Will the engine light go off once I've replaced it correctly or does it have to be run through diagnostic and have the error deleted manually ?
Thanks
It's possible the light will go off once you drive a few miles with the new one but I'm not 100% sure to be honest.
Thanks for the video
Can I ask what is the name of the part you are holding at 0:30 that you have disconnected from the VVT? When I disconnected mine the plastic casing had broken leaving just two exposed pins.
Were the exposed pins left on the VVT unit ?. If so, the wiring plug housing must have broken away from the VVT and came away with the plug
@@screwsnutsandbolts thanks for the response. The exposed pins were actually on the wiring housing, the outer plastic along with the blue rubber has all decayed away. Would this have any ill effects on the connection I wonder? The pins seem to connect ok to the VVT but ive read elsewhere that these connectors can be problematic if slightly damaged.
Nice video. can you make the same video for Toyota any car 1.5L
I suppose I'm having a vvt issue on my 307 2.0 petrol (ew10 engine). After cleaning VVT selenoid, will it be needed to "recode" the ecu? Or it is just take the selenoid out, clean it, and place it back?
No I don't think there's any need to recode the ECU.
Do you recommend removing filters on the side?
No they're there for a reason :)
@@screwsnutsandbolts OK, thanks :)
Hello friend, I see that you know about mechanics. I have a Peugeot 307 with the problem of a defective gearbox ( boite de vit defaillante ) could that be the issue? I appreciate your help in advance, thank you very much.
I'm no expert on gearboxes, sorry. The VVT solenoid just controls valve timing.
That is OCV - Oil Control Valve
Anyone know where peugeot 307cc 1.6 16v is located? Mine wasnt at the top atleast
Great video, what is the mileage on that particular car you cleaned the VVT?
Thanks, it had about 130,000km on the clock
Can you please show how to remove the 2nd one (intake side). Thank you.
Only one at this engine
The prince engine has 2. It's at the back of the head, opposite the front one.
Does this procedure also apply to the 2012 RCZ as they are similar engines. I have a P1030 & P1062 error code?
I don't know, sorry
Hi i have a problem in the idle engine work very rought does this valve have fault
There are many different things that might cause a rough idle, this is just one possibility.

@@viridian6903 have you fixed the issue? If you did what was the cause?
Love it , thanks 🍺🍺🌷🍂👍
Thank you! Cheers!
Good video
Thanks
Does it make click sounds when you shake the valve?
I don't know to be honest
No it doesn't
does the 1.6 16v 109 HP has this part installed ?
I'm not sure, sorry
Same one is in 2JZ.GTE.... a bit longer
Hello.
Where is this on a 2.0 66kw engine?
I don't know, I've only worked on the 1.4 petrol engine. Sorry
Can it come Antipollution Fault P0410? From thet
I don't think so. P0410 is usually caused by:
Failing secondary air pump or relay
Defective air pump check valves
Clogged air injection system
Blown fuse
Bad EGR Valve
Malfunctioning oxygen sensor
Blocked catalytic converter (usually sets other trouble codes with P0410)
@@screwsnutsandbolts Where is the fuse and relay for EGR?
Check this website: fuse-box.info/peugeot/peugeot-307-2002-2008-fuses
Does anyone know where is purge valve solenoid located on 307 1.6 petrol.
The purge valve and charcoal canister should be located under the right hand wheel arch. You can access it by removing the wheel arch liner.
@@screwsnutsandbolts ok thank u
You're welcome
Is this the same on the 207??
I'm not sure
Yes but it,s on the front upper left of engine on 1.6 vti
Machae lahe watabarake akhi naseta3erafe bike
Just unplug the dam thing and leave it unplugged. I have on my 1.8vvt vectra which has 2 of them unplugged them both months ago and my car runs so so so much better variable valve timing is only for emissions anyway. People say unplugging them causes codes and performance issues i have non of the above infact I was suffering with lag and flat spot issues when connected now im not. If you do get codes just simply buy a second hand set dont fit them just plug them in a cable tie them to the frame of the car tricking the ecu into thinking there fitted. By running without vvt is the same as having an engine without vvt unplugging only returns the cam to base setting just remember to reconnect for emissions test
Use to much oil and gas if not corrected
Hello
where to find the VVT VVT Solenoid - Peugeot 307 year 2005 1.6 16v. Automatic box. THANK YOU
It should be in a similar position to this.
i have also 1.6 16v petrol engine 307 2003 there is nothing about VVT
As far as i know 1.6 16v does not have VVT solenoid. 1.4 petrol without VVT would be quite weak for 307 heavy chassis.
Where to find the vvt solenoid 307 my van Honda Odyssey 2002 model
I have a Peugeot 307 with the error code p0075, I feel this might help fix this. I'm trying to find the vvt solenoid but it's not where yours is. Any idea on where mine migh be? I'm running a EW10 2.0 engine.
I don't know, sorry. I haven't worked on the 2.0 liter version
It's near the oil filling cap with 2 wire connector
What are the symptoms?...
Rough engine idle and poor fuel economy are two but there could be others. Here's a link: www.autoblog.com/2016/01/13/symptoms-of-a-bad-or-failing-variable-valve-timing-vvt-solenoi/

Hello.
Plesse where do I find the downshifting solenoid for my Peugeot 307 (1.6ltr). Gear is AL4 transmission.
My gear seem to downshift erratically when I step on my brakes.
I don't know, I haven't worked on one of those transmissions. Sorry
Hi can you upload aa video for this car how to fix valve lifter noise from engine.?
I think mines busted . When I went to pull of it Dnt look like that. I think I pulled it apart half stayed inside so I just cleaned it like so and reassembled it.🥴 tested it it works . Now for the filter . And I didn’t have to remove anything

Engine sludge seems to be the cause for vvt failure
Remove the rubber O-ring before doing this...
