The black panel is from the company MagPie. Here’s the link: store.magpiemodular.com/collections/mutable-instruments/products/murdered-out-warps-custom-panel As far as the knob, I think I found on Aliexpress. I can search for it if you’re interested!
@@Nematomusic Yeah man, that big knob really sets it off. I am pretty into customizing my modules tbh. Didn't even think to look on Aliexpress for knobs!

I guess it depends what mixer you’re comparing it too. The Warps has different FX built in with its own oscillator, so it can function more ways than say a simple 4 channel mono mixer. However it only has two inputs, so it just depends what you’re after really!
No but I’ve been told good things about it and may switch soon for some new inspiration with the module. Also considering some of the other wavefolders available now!
Tough to say. It’s an affordable option for wavefolding and signal overdrive without taking up much space, but there are definitely other, newer options too!
I think the uFold from Intellijel is an interesting option with a single channel for wavefolding. Probably more comparable to the Warps would be modules like the Bastl Instruments Waver, Noise Engineering Pura Ruina, or the Fold Processor from TipTop Audio. The Bastl Waver is probably the closest from my experience. Seems like lots of companies are making unique versions of waveshapers to help expand the possible sounds of oscillators in a system. Just depends on the sound you like!
@@Nematomusic Hey! Yeah, these are some of the options I've been considering. I've also looked at the Bifold from Intellijel, plus the Chopping Kinky from Befaco, also the Timbre from Bastl. I hadn't considered the Pura Ruina though. I'll go and take a listen! The Waver does sound interesting too. Thanks for these suggestions! Chris
What manufacturer/maker built this version of your Warps? Is it a repanel you did yourself? Super slick looking!

@@Nematomusic Holy crap this place is a goldmine of sexy-ass knobs! Thanks man, keep up the amazing content!
I’ll do my best! Thanks for the support!
cool
2:53 That kick is insane. My HD 6XX don't have tight lows at all, and this kick still sounds so tight and punchy, I feel it in my chest.
😂 Thank you!
Oh finally someone using a Euro rack for actual music instead of pure noise. I appreciate the content sounds great man.
Haha thank you!
sound quality of your whole setup is great!
Just discovered your channel last week, your putting out some great content. Keep it coming!
Thank you!

Oh yeah! Just found the channel. Great stuff man.
Awesome track at the end. Loving the content
Thanks man! 🤙🏼

@@Nematomusic thank you!
i just got the Mutable Warps Clone...by michigan Synth Works...I really like it..Thanks for your Video..Very helpful
Thank you!
Thanks for the video. Are you using the original firmware on it? Have you tried out the (easter egg) frequency shifter mode?
Yeah just the original firmware. Any experience with that mode? I’ll have to look into it!
I just started my modular journey, what's the advantages of this over a regular mixer? Thanks great content.

@@Nematomusic Bro thank you, it’s also an oscillator so I get what you mean. I just started last week, so I’m learning a lot.
Are you using parasite?
No but I’ve been told good things about it and may switch soon for some new inspiration with the module. Also considering some of the other wavefolders available now!
@@Nematomusic yeah, -parasite has a wicked cool tape echo.
Is it worth buying in 2020?
Tough to say. It’s an affordable option for wavefolding and signal overdrive without taking up much space, but there are definitely other, newer options too!
Maybe more reasonable in a larger eurorack system. I probably personally wouldn’t put it in a portable rig/skiff.

you need to order an xtra large double double, otherwise you're not joel enough..

I would subscribe if I hadn't already.
