HTML-код
- Опубликовано: 2 окт 2024
- YO! This time we are looking at some of the ways that I use the Mutable Instruments Tides Module.
We will be covering Rhythmic Modulations, CV/Pitched Modulations, Oscillator Mode, Chord Mode, and using Tides as an envelope. Headphones are recommended as we are listening to a lot of modulations.
In this series, I share how I use different modules to produce music. Hope you enjoy it! Feedback is greatly appreciated.

It’s moments like this that make me more and more convinced that I need Rings. So cool.
Edit: bought Rings, definitely worth
Same.
No matter how long I play with my eurorack, I can't seem to make money appear
Haha im still working on that also
Bro this series is amazing. I’ve been researching on how to make trap out of a modular system for months now. Your channel is really helping me out, especially because there are not many modular users that create hip hop.
Word bro i was in the same place and i had to figure out alot on my own so i just wanted to bring that insight i gained to everyone
Ali The Architect respect dude. Btw, get that beat page ready. Once these rappers find out about you they’re gonna spam your dm’s for a collab lol. Please include the er-101 in the next video of this series. I’m curious to know why you chose that sequencer out of all. I mean, I know it’s top three, for sure, but this is honestly my first time hearing of it. Which is surprising because I plan to have a er301 in my kit. Anyway, I just wanted your take on it and how you thought it could help with making beats.. if that makes sense
@@britox.6216 for sure bro! Its almost ready! And i will def make a vid on the er-101 in my opinion its the 🐐 and mainly because you set step length you arent locked.
Ali The Architect I’m shocked at how many few people use it 👀. What do you think about the expander?!
@@britox.6216 im still trying to figure out if i "REALLY" need it. there are def. times when it would come in handy muting and changing sequence structure but i record into my mpc or logic so i just do a couple takes with the changeups. but i forsee me getting it after i grab a 301 probably.. damn that will be almost 2k on 3 modules!!! but they are well worth it!
wonderful tones! i like the chord sequences particularly
Another winner.
I still wanna see you dig into that Black Hole DSP.
Word! I got u brother
I now need to get Tides.
Feel like I found a new channel right before it blows up. Love the text pop ups and how you describe what it is that you're doing, very helpful for a beginner in modular. Wishing you the best.
Thanks man i appreciate that and glad its helpful🙏🏽🙏🏽🎛🎚
I agree 👍🏼✨
Beautiful and excellent patching! 😎👍
Beautiful jams Ali
very nice job!
i feel like your vids are just whats needed. dood 5yrs ago?! im happy i found you
@fg594 id make more if I wasnt working on a module! Lazer focused though! I appreciate it!!
@@AliTheArchitect hell yea! thats dope! kudos b!
Thank's Ali for the demo. Crazy Tides Rings etc...... But that sound when you engage the Magneto 😱😱😱. First time I hear it with that sound I think I will sell my reverb and delay and put a magneto in my case 👍 do you really recommend?
That ER101 rings part was really nice. Ali, I gotta say, I like how you're using tides.
Thank you!
oh sweet, been looking for a good tides2018 video. thanks!
My pleasure glad you liked it
Can Pam be used to do the same thing the ER101 is at 14:55?
Man, you just blessed me with some advice on Instagram and now I find myself with a new Tides module and you're helping me again!
Mate all these demos are super musical. You're getting some nice stuff out of your modular! Looking forward to more vids.
Thanks man i appreciate that! Episode 5 coming soon on the stereo dipole
Awesome video man, few years late on ot but picked up Tides about a month ago and this video took the module to an entirely new level for me, mad respect
Glad to hear it!
Great vid. Do you find the ER-101 easy to work with?
Thanks! The Er-101 is super easy to work with episode 5 will be covering the er-101 and should be up by monday or tuesday!
@@AliTheArchitect Awesome, great channel u got goin. Looking forward to new episodes.
Love you page. I was trying to get in modular but its too expensive for my taste. Can you please give me 3 synths that do everything modular does. Ive been looking at Korg Minilouge xd and some effects pedals, or some eurorack effects. I love sound design. I think regular synthesis is the way to go for me. I love different oscillators, delays, reverbs, and chorus. I would love the input.
The Behringer semi-modular is probably the most inexpensive way to get a lot for a little money. Neutron would probably be a good starting point. Then Crave, Model D, ect. They just started releasing VERY inexpensive eurorack modules if you can find them in stock
My dude download VCV Rack, it's a free eurorack thing. Only if you can deal with using a mouse on a computer of course
@@jakebeamish VCV Rack is amazing. Highly recommend. I can get lost in it just the same as my hardware modular
Researching Tides 2018 for my setup, this is the video that sold it for me! Awesome work!
Nice! Glad to hear that! Tides is my goto modulation source.
On my list, next month 🙂✨
Hehe. Change you made joke.
The sequenced part is amazing, kudos!
Perfect Timing to find this Video. My Tides arrived yesterday. Thank you so much for this Great Video!
Yo yo yo
does anyone know if the sheeps firmware runs on the new version?
I do not believe it does
Ali The Architect jup doesnt i wrote them an email yesterday and he said it does not but instead plaits has the sheeps engine in wavetable mode.
so i am gonna buy plaits instead :)
thanks for the reply btw :)
Those first hand full of patches with Rings were super beautiful!
Recently purchased Tides and this video really showed me the capabilities of the module and what's possible with it. Thanks!
Nice! Im glad this vid helped tides is a dope module
Keep up the great work man! Your videos are great, this showed me a lot of new ways to use my tides, those sweet spots you were talking about are fantastic when I can find them.
Love the part at 5:35 or so
Love you, dude! Greetings from Sweden.
these are awesome demos, but a contents menu would be good in the description, noting down each different topic/technique with its time stamp. This would help us when returning to look for a specific part of the video, jus as divkid does in his. Just subscribed and looking forward to watching more and waiting for new vids!
Thanks man i appreciate it. I wil try to include better time stamps in the future
